TOP Campervan Destinations – UK Vanlife

Hello
Welcome to Grape Soda Travels and this is another ‘Vanners Collaborating’
video. There’ll be a link in the description to a playlist of all the other videos on the same
topic. Do wish you will go and check them out And some of their logos will be appearing
somewhere on the screen round about now. So, what’s this month’s topic of conversation?
We’re going to be talking about some of the top places that we have visited
in Teddy the Campervan this year. And that’s what all the other
collaborators will be doing too. So, it’s going to be very interesting to see where
people have been and what they’ve enjoyed. We’re going to give you five of
our top places from this year. So, in no particular order, let’s get started. So, what’s the first one?
Haha. We went this year for a lovely weekend to Norfolk and we went to Winterton
on Sea. We went to a really lovely CS site. Yes. Really good. You haven’t seen
that video yet ’cause it’s not out. If by the time you are watching this video and it
is then out, it’ll be up here somewhere and down in the description. We had a lovely time.
It’s a beautiful quiet village, isn’t it? Really lovely village.
Yeah, it was smashing. It’s right by the sea and there’s everything is walkable
from the CS. We found somewhere lovely for lunch, somewhere great for dinner.
Checked out the church. We did check out the church.
We climbed the church tower. All the way up the tower and everything.
And we hope to return at some point because it’s a great place in the pupping
season to go and see the seals. So yes, we’ll go back there at some point.
We would definitely go back there again. So, are we in Norfolk right now, darling? Not quite. No.
Where are we? Well, if you want to find that
out, you have to wait till the end. So, the Norfolk Coast, a fabulous place to visit.
Lots to see and do. And not too far from us. No, no, not at all. We can
get there on a cheeky weekend. Well worth a visit. Where’s next?
Canterbury. Ah, Canterbury.
Your old stomping ground ’cause you’re from that neck of the woods.
I went to university in Canterbury. So, it was our very first aire.
It was. So, that was an experience.
Really good value for money. Eight quid for overnight, wasn’t it? Including
all of the buses you could possibly wish for. Really easy. Really good access to the city. Great.
And an interesting city. Oh, I do. I do love Canterbury. It’s a
nice place. I mean, for goodness sake, any city where Bagpuss lives is all right by me.
So yes, we would hardly recommend Canterbury. Yes. And we will definitely return
when we’re brave enough next year. We’ll we plan to go abroad. We’ll be
doing probably an overnight there. Yeah. It’s a really convenient stop off to do
an overnight there and then head down to either Dover for the ferry or to get the tunnel. Yes.
Visit Canterbury. We’re not in Canterbury at the moment though, are we?
Where are we, babe? Hmm We’re sitting on a cannon.
They don’t have cannons in Canterbury. No.
No. We broke our aire duck. Is that a thing? It is now.
It is now. We went to the New Dover Road Park and Ride aire in
Canterbury. What did you make of the experience? It’s just a really convenient, no thrills,
cheap place for an overnight stop, isn’t it? And Canterbury is always worth a visit.
Beautiful place. Where’s next on the list?
The beautiful Isle of Barra. We had two weeks exploring the Outer Hebrides.
And we started with a few days on Barra. And I don’t know if it’s just because
it was the first place or because the weather was perfect or whether it’s
just the fact that Barra is lovely. I think we fell in love with
it straight away, didn’t we? Very definitely. Utterly beautiful place.
Golden beaches, blue blue skies and blue seas. Lots of interesting places to see, great
walks, like you said, great beaches. Yeah.
And just there’s a nice atmosphere about it, isn’t it?
Yes. We very much enjoyed being there. It felt very chill.
Yeah. Lovely. Locals were lovely
Weren’t they just? And a very nice campsite.
Borve campsite. Ah, wow. Right down by the sea.
Gorgeous. I think the first night we had the rear doors of the van open
having our tea and some dolphins swam past As as you do. But this isn’t the Outer Hebrides.
No, no, we’re not in the Outer Hebrides now. No. Where are we?
Any ideas? So Barra was part of our grand tour of the
Outer Hebrides. Our first tour in Teddy. Well done, Teddy. Oh my goodness. The
weather was spectacularly kind, wasn’t it? It was incredible.
What a beautiful place. If you haven’t seen those videos, and we
heartily encourage that you should. There will be a card up here and the playlist will also
be down below below the line in the description. We always love a bit of Scotland and the
Outer Hebrides did not disappoint. Very, very, very much worth visiting. You might
not get the weather that we had though. What’s next?
A day at the seaside. If you want all of the fun of the,
all of the fun of the seaside, you should go to Brighton. Especially with a very handy Caravan
and Motorhome club. What? Half an hour walk away? Probably about that. Yeah.
Brilliant. We had a fantastic weekend in Brighton, didn’t we?
There’s always lots to do and lots to see in Brighton.
Yes. The site’s really lovely as well, isn’t it, there?
Yes. Yes, it’s lovely. But are we in Brighton at the moment, love?
Well, the weather’s British And there’s fun to be had.
But no, we’re not. No.
No. I wonder where we are. We always love a bit of Brighton.
We visit quite often, don’t we? We’re always up for a bit
of South Coast seaside fun. So, have you worked out where
we are for the last place? All our little clues. We’re in Northern
Ireland. Welcome to the Giant Causeway. We’ve really seen the sites though,
haven’t we, In Northern Ireland? It’s been fabulous.
Hard to pick a a favourite place, so we’re just going with Northern Ireland.
Yes, absolutely. We’re here for 2 weeks. Our adventure started coming across on the ferry to
Larne and then we’re doing an anticlockwise loop all the way along the Causeway Coastal Route
as far as Derry and then coming down through Enniskillen coming down to Loch Erne across to
Loch Neagh and then back to Larne and home again. Yeah. So, we’re actually still in Northern
Ireland. We’re just coming towards the end of our trip. You won’t have seen those
videos yet. They’ll be coming soon. So, why don’t you why don’t you have a subscribe
and ding the bell and then you’ll get all the notifications when the videos come out and
you won’t miss our Northern Ireland tour. Ah, we visited some quite incredible
places. It’s going to be worth watching. That’s our list of our
favourite places from this year. It’s a good list.
I’ve enjoyed it. Make sure you check out the playlist to see where the
other collaborators have also been this year. Have you been to any of those places? If you
have, let us know. Where did you go? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
Ooh, and also, have you got suggestions of where we should go in the future? We’re new
at this, so our bucket list is happy to grow And growing by the day. Find us on social
media. You want to keep abreast of where we are and what we’re doing. And come back next
time and find out where our next adventure is. [Music]

  1. Your'e right about not being so lucky as you with the weather, Im in Barra now and its been blowing a gale all day and raining – but still a magical place, My dog and I were the only ones on the beach in Vatersay yesterday – if you don't count the coo's !

  2. Hiya, I'm actually from Barra and have lived here all my life (other than when I had to leave the island to attend college). I've been following and subscribed to your channel after I saw your Barra visit, as I thought it would be really interesting to see how you enjoyed the Weatern Isles / Outer Hebrides. You really did luck out with the weather, as it's not been so bright the last couple of days…. It's been a bit breezy, and we've had some really heavy rain showers!
Obviously, I'm biased, but Barra and Vatersay really are lovely islands (not that the rest of the Outer hebrides aren't, but because we're tiny in comparison really, it's easier to get around without always having to travel a long distance in between). Looking forward to your Ireland adventures!

  3. Hello, guys! Always a true pleasure to be in your company! Traveling and discovering is always so AMAZINGLY beautiful! And the Vanlife looks so nice! Maybe one day….
Such an inspiring content, as always. Loved and enjoyed all you seen, my friends.
Have a great weekend and hugs from Italy! Like 57! Renata

  4. I think Barra was our favourite out of all of these. Those seas are incredible. We loved your campsite there. Looking forward to your Northern Ireland content too.. Cheers 🍻
