Now, we have an excursion booked with Jimmy’s Jeeps Adventures today. Morning everybody. Hope you’re all right. It is Thursday today. It’s excursion day. Uh and we’ve got an excursion with Jimmy’s Jeeps. I’ve already explained yesterday about the excursion. So, we’re getting picked up at 8:45. Yeah, I said approximately. Yeah, 8:45. So, we’ve got 40 minutes. Uh well about 35 minutes to get breakfast. So we’re going to go down to the buffet and see how it is. I film as much as I can along the way. We’ve not paid for the excursion yet. He asked us to pay for the excursion once he arrives. So we’ll sort that when he gets here. My foot’s a lot better this morning than it was yesterday. It’s still sore. Uh so I’m not sure I’m going to be able to go on the Blue Lagoon cuz I I don’t want to get any salt water in it. Uh cuz it’s wrapped up. We’re not sure what the excursion entails. We think we know a little bits of it, but it’s quite exciting cuz we don’t know what we’re doing really. So, uh, that’s it, guys. So, uh, speak to you in a bit. Bye. Now, Jimmy’s Jeeps offer a number of different types of excursions. Now, the one that we did today was called over land and sea. So, if you head over to the website, you’ll be able to get more information. We’re going out for breakfast. Very quiet this morning. There isn’t many people around. That’s where the Japanese restaurant is. Okay. For breakfast. Start off my day with uh two espressos. Do you want to go for your breakfast first? Sure. I’ll let you go first. Yeah. Okay. You go for it. This morning I’ve gone for two cheese omelets, two little sausages, and uh two tomatoes. You gone for one? I’ve gone for a mix omelette. Um, and some of the little tasty toppings, tomato and blue. Oh, very nice. Should keep us going. Shouldn’t this J just mentioned we got some local cake over there. So, I think after breakfast, I’m going to try one. But this should uh keep us going. We don’t get any food included today. So, we have to meet at 8:45. So, we got about 15 minutes cuz we only get there 5 minutes early. Right, we just finished breakfast now. It is, have a look, 8:33. So, we got 12 minutes for the turn up. Uh, we’re just making upstairs at the reception [Music] going I guess you’re Jimmy’s Jeeps. Might be. Just a wild guess. Are you Jim and Steve? Yes, we are. How you doing? [Music] Then we are going to St. Georgie’s Harour for again stop for a little walk around and some beaches. Then we are driving off road into the Akamas Peninsula Lara Beach where we will give you some info about the turtle. We will then be going to a viewing point roughly 650 m above sea level. Um onto lunch. Then after lunch guys we will be going of Aphrodite and lunch. Then after lunch, we will be going to Latchi Harour where we will do the 3-hour boat trip. [Music] Guys, an old school DJ used to play his his house, his garage, uh, funky house, all the stuff I was into. And, uh, I mentioned I went to Ironappa uh, year 2000 for garage music and he was bringing over the DJs himself. So, a lot coming like that by the end of face and the season didn’t start. [Music] If there was 10 people on the beach, that was busy. That’s what it was like when we go to Lara Beach. That’s what this was like 40 years ago. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Yes. The variety we have here, it’s short and bendy. Okay. We used to export lots of bananas all around the world. Then when we went in Europe, Europe say the banana inside was too small, too round. So we kind of only for local use, right? But they absolutely taste fantastic. This is pecan nuts. Pecan nuts. This is a pecan nut. [Music] This small one here, this is oranges. If you look, you can see the baby orange. Oh yeah, that’s the oranges. This one is a lemon tree. So we have lemons. And this one of my favorites, this red flower. Anybody know what this is? No. Pomegranate. Pomegranate. Granada. It start as a small red flower and in about 5 months it will be this big. Wow. Absolutely fantastic. So we are we are very lucky and we grow lots of different things. Yes, you do. This is the dragon fruit. [Music] Yeah. So this is a dragon fruit. Plant in the world. Is it the child leave the child here? Yeah. If you as an adult you eat two or three leaves, you will be very sick for many days. If you break the thing and you get the juice on your finger and you rub your eyes, you will go blind. Wow. Even when they are burning this, if you inhale the the fume, it’s very bad. Very dangerous. Wow. Do they use that flower for anything? Yes, they use the flower for medicine. Okay. So, this is the uh the caves. Well, that’s not the CK. That’s a wreck shape. Over there is a sea case. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] So this is our first stop off just behind us is the uh the sea caves and there’s another shipwreck there which I’ve just shown you. There’s quite a lot of shipwrecks, isn’t there, on the coast of Cyprus, you know. So, but they were saying that how dangerous the seas are here. Quite a few people turned up there, weren’t there? Yeah. Yeah, it’s quite a big group, wasn’t it? All turned up at So, we had to quickly take the photograph. So, done a little bit of uh filming as much as we can get without getting everybody in it. Jimmy uh is definitely a character, isn’t he? Yeah, he’s funny. Good mind, good sense of humor. But I think we’re going to have a fun day. And there’s only there’s only us and uh another family. So, the six of us uh today on this, which is uh good, isn’t it? It was quite a personal uh tour again. We’ve been really lucky so far with the uh excursions we’ve done because it’s not into season yet. It’s uh it’s relatively quiet, so it’s it’s a good time to come. That’s his uh car there. A defender. [Music] So, it’s 9:38 and he said we’ve got 20 minutes here. So, there’s a a couple of churches here uh and your bathrooms here, but he said use the bathrooms here because we won’t be going to the next bathroom maybe for an hour, 2 hours. So, we’re just going to walk over to uh the church that he said you can get some nice pictures of the harbor. And this is our second stop now. [Music] about. This is my first time. Go. No. Not sure what this is. Looks like Is it an oven? Coffee, could it? I think it’s an oven, isn’t it? It looks like it is. Yeah, you’ve got all your uh your bits there. Yeah, it must be an oven. [Music] Just walking down to the uh viewing area. He mentioned for us to come down here to get some uh nice photographs. Telling you a little bit more about the area. A little church. [Music] I think it’s time to uh yeah, time to head back into our next stop. catch me falling. Yes. What’s it about? You got to watch it. If you want to get out, while we’re in the jeep, Jimmy mentioned a film that was filmed in this particular area and other areas around Pathos. And the movie was called Find Me Falling. Now, if you want to watch this movie, if you head over to Netflix, you can watch it there. It’s about a rock star that makes a comeback album that fails. So, he moves to the Mediterranean island of Pathos to escape everything. Now, I’d just like to make an apology. On some of the clips, you’re going to hear wind interference. Now, unfortunately, I don’t have an external mic yet. So, during parts of the clips, you’re going to hear very strong wind sounds. I’ve removed some of it, and some of it I’ve not been able to. I think it was White Lara Beach. This got a north and a south. So there’s a a white rock right over the other side. I can’t remember said that was that was south been told a minute ago. Yeah. But the uh the drop just behind us is it’s big. Yeah. If you fell off there, you’d uh you’d know about it. I think it’s think I’m lonely. I think I’m ready. [Music] [Music] views here are spectacular, aren’t they? Stunning. So, we’re going to get back in the jeep now and head to the next point, aren’t we? [Music] the African plate, Eurasian plate. When we have a good earthquake, the Eurasian the African plate pushing the Eurasian plate up, which means Cyprus is still rising. If you go to Trudok Mountains, which is roughly 1,954 m above sea level, you can still find shells and signs of marine life. So therefore, we know Cyprus came from the sea, right? This is how we feel. This is how we feel. This is how we feel. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] So, we just stopped off at our third stop off. This is Law Beach. Yeah, terrain’s definitely rough here. You could not do this with your high in the car. Got to have a proper Jeep like this to be able to do this and a experienced driver. [Music] The sex of the turtle is defined where it is in the nest. Okay? Middle and below, less eggs. Cooler sand is the male. Middle and above, warmer sand, more eggs, it’s the female. So, she lays eggs, they’re underground roughly 8 weeks. uh single female can come up up to three times to lay a nest, not once, but it’s not every season, every second or third season. So, we then have the volunteers and the fisheries department and the people from the turtle nesting program going along the beach, find these tracks. When they find the tracks, they look with a stick. They find the nest, put the basket on the top of the nest to keep it safe, a from the foxes and b from people walking on it and making the sand too hard so they can’t can’t come out. So that’s the basket just there. So when you come in the summer this beach, you maybe see 100 200 of them baskets along the beach, guys. So they hatch. They are normally underground for 2 or 3 days. Uh their body has a special egg on it that they have to use this egg here on their body. So they have to use this to get their strength because I’m sure you’ve seen the documentaries where they come up, go in the sea, then the sea, push them back, go back in the sea, push them back. So it’s hard work, you know. Also, when they’re going to the beach, if people have been walking, when they fall in that hole, for us it’s this big, you think, but for the turtle, it’s like this. So, it’s hard work for them, guys. So, they come up and go out. What we normally do, we have the fisheries department who have logged when they find the nest, they put GPS so they know roughly when it’s hatching. They go back, they know when it’s hatched because before it hatched, it’s like this. After it’s hatched, it’s like this where the sand has dropped. And what they do, they then lift the nest to see how many were in there, how many lived, how many died, etc. Uh, and then they find some that are at the bottom that cannot get out. They put them in the bucket and they release them by the sea. You cannot put them in the sea. You have to release them by the sea because the turtle has its own GPS. The female will only come back to the beach that she hatched to lay her nest. Okay. So sometimes Coral Bay, Karalia Bay, other beaches, they find turtle nests. They have 48 hours to lift the nest to bring it to reberry it here. So that when they hatch, they go into the sea from here. 30 years later, when they are ready, ready to lay their first nest, the females, they know to come back to these beaches. This is why we want to keep these areas protected, guys. And in the summer, this area between 7 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., no cars allowed around this area here, which is fantastic, guys. The good thing is we are one of the only countries where turtle numbers are on the up. So, that’s a good thing. Um, so yeah, it’s a it’s a nice program, you know, but this is why we don’t want no houses here. It’s my friend, the beetle. Hello. He’s heartless. All right, guys. So, what I’m going to do, let you go down the beach. Y 20 minutes. Have a look around, get some pictures, some video in, then come back and we carry on. All right. Cheers, Jimmy. So, it’s 10:36. We got here for about 20 10. And Jimmy was talking about the conservation act they’ve got in place to preserve uh the turtles around here. Uh I filmed it, so you’ll see most of it. So, I don’t have to talk about what he’s done, but he said we’ve got 20 minutes here. So, it takes us to uh 5 to 11. Yeah. Uh we got said get yourselves down to Law Beach. But I’m really happy so far with the excursions. Lots of little stop offs. Uh it’s really good. He’s got a great sense of humor. Yeah. Knowledge. Yeah. The family that are uh also with us, I’m not sure where they’re from, Germany. Uh but they’re really nice. So this is the pathway down to La Beach. [Music] We’re down on Lara Beach. It’s just us down here and the uh the family. So, it’s total six of us on this beach. It’s really nice. I really liked it so far, this excursion because it feels quite intimate, doesn’t it? Yeah. Yeah, it’s been really good. I’m glad that we we did this one. We’ve been a good choice. Yeah, I do. Feel like we get to see a lot more of Cyprus and uh with just been six of us as well, you get that more personal touch. So, it’s worked out really well. Yeah, it has. I think that’s the beauty of like we were saying yesterday when we did the uh the um chains of the kings. It’s when you come out of season like this. I mean sometimes you are taking a glove with the weather but I think this is pretty safe weather wise isn’t it? Yeah. Yeah. Quite um but it’s just so so much quieter everywhere is you really get to experience it. You feel like you say we’ve only got us and the family that are traveling on Jimmy Street with us and there’ll be the beach tomorrow. Oh, it’s just amazing. It’s unheard of, isn’t it? A lot of places where you go. It is incredible. And that’s why we like to travel just before the season starts as just as the season’s ending. And also, you can save quite a bit of money as well because the prices are not escalating because it’s in season. But like you Jee said, you always take a gamble sometimes with your with the weather. But most times, yeah, we end up quite lucky looking for the uh the weather. But it’s lovely down here. We can’t go down there. But surfers are lovely down here. Yeah. So, so far Jimmy’s Jeeps definitely recommend him and we let’s say we talked about this on other uh vlogs on other days, but we had three recommendations of free business owners to to use him and I can understand why now. He’s a definitely a big character. Got a brilliant sense of humor, personality, knowledgeable as well. Informative. Yeah. Yeah. He knows about all the uh vegetation, all the fruits that are growing, the flora. He knows all about the area. So he’s very knowledgeable. Yeah. Even when you’re in the in the gym, I’m probably not filming much of that part. Yeah. Keeps pulling over to the side and showing us like all the different um fruits that are being grown here and all the different species. So it’s it’s really nice and you get to learn about is an encyclopedia of knowledge. [Music] [Music] There she is. Jim is dipping her to holes in the water. It’s a bit fresh, I would say. Bit fresh. So then they decide to build the village behind the light. So at night you can’t see the fire and the lights. So this is the longest and the island is long. 215 mi long. This is how we feel. Heat up here. in the area of Agamas. Legend says there is 101 churches. They found the 99 of them to. And they say one of the two they didn’t find is Aphrodite’s church, the one with her golden chariot and all her golden. And this area is this a donkey sanctuary? No, this is my friend. Look, look. And then uh Jimmy is going to get a table at the restaurant, which will uh have two tables. One for me and Gemma, and then one for the uh other couple. So I’m not sure how long it takes. What have you done? What have you done? What have you done? as I was holding the door to pull in [Music] this wet your face and then we have to meet him down the bottom. So yeah, vitality. Uh there’s a metal gate as you come through and Gemma went through it and her hand was still on part of the gate and the gate then enclosed on a on a rant. So it’s very sore at the moment. So luckily I’ve got some I4. Uh there was two really nice ladies who offered to give us some herbal remedy but we weren’t sure what it was. So yeah, there’s a bit of a language barrier. So really want to take anything. So coming through I had hold of the the gate I tripped up and then because I was holding on to the manager. So where do we go now? So I think we walk our way back down and meet us at the restaurant with our bags. With our bags. It is 10 12 and we’re just walking to down where the restaurants are. Nice. You’ve got little things here as well. So when you come here, you’ve got lots of little uh shops here. Get ice creams, hats, sun lotion. [Music] So if you were coming here, you could get the bus 622. Gemma’s going for the uh grilled prawns and I’ve gone for the masaka. You can come with rice and chips as well. Jack and potato with the both garlic cheese on there as well. Looks really nice that. And Gemma is just uh tagging us in. And we got an amazing view. Look at that view here. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful. And there is the rock of Aphrodites and the mountains in the background. beautiful setting in the restaurant as well. They uh they got free Wi-Fi, so you can get Wi-Fi if you need it. And also the uh really complimentary bread. It’s amazing. This one’s really garlicky, which is incredible, which is that one. Jim’s tried one with Thank you very much. Thank you. So there’s the grilled dumi. There’s mine. And there is Gemma’s. What do you think to the uh bread on? Amazing. Really, really good. Then all the fresh olive oil with the uh the topping on that. It’s avocado. Ao, which is very nice. I think the favorite is my garlic. Yeah, you you can have them cuz I don’t want to fill up too much on bread. They’ve got some lovely king grilled prawns coming. So, thumb bums up though. Really nice. Yeah. What about your beer? Cheers, guys. I think you said was it Leo? Leo. Yeah, I think it’s Kio and Leo, which both um local criate beers. Nice cold, nice and refreshing. Dinner with a view. And I’m not just talking about Steve Bar. Absolutely stunning. I didn’t even pay to say that. And then if we pan around slowly, then the Aphrodites Rock will come into view. There we go. And there’s Aphrodites Rock just there. Steve did not want to share a starter with me. He did not want to share his alumi. So, we’ve had to go to for two separate portions of alumi. Jimmy asked said, “Can we you want to share?” I was like, “No, my own.” Can you blame me? The Alumir is amazing. So, no. On this occasion, I didn’t want I didn’t want to share. Can you blame me? Look at that. Very squeaky when you eat it. And I think you mentioned that on the tour, didn’t we? A good alumi. It should squeak when you’re eating it and when you’re chewing it. And I think in the UK where we are, I don’t think the aluminum squeaks. That’s bad. Did you? Oh, yeah. Everybody calls it sweet cheese, don’t they? Well, this is amazing. Really nice. Like the grill hasn’t got anything else added. So, it doesn’t need anything else. Uh, but it’s incredible. I’m so glad I didn’t share. I’m sorry. I’m glad you didn’t either cuz I like get a full portion all to myself now. So, I’m not I’m not sorry about that. Well, I love Alumi. I could eat a plate full of it. I can even eat J. She wasn’t going to eat that. I am going to eat it though. So, eyes off. Okay, I’ll talk to my own. Uh, grilled prawns has just come over. It is absolutely huge. Look, the size of my hands. The size of those prawns. Somebody’s getting food and vegan. Yeah. What your impressions of that one? Uh, I’ve got to admit it’s bigger than what I expected. I expected maybe three maybe three prawns of that size so we can we can share this. Yeah. Thank you, Mom. They look huge. And then you’ve got the rice to the side. Let me just Yeah. And then you’ve got rice and like sauteed potatoes. Y smell of them is incredible as well. What do you want to share then? Yeah. Off. Yeah, I’m happy to do that. You? Yeah. Should I spray some lemon over there? Yeah, go for it. That’s huge. I’ve got so much food envy this holiday. You can go halves, babe. Okay. Uh the rice is really nice. They’re fluffy. Mhm. Uh with the uh peas and carrots in there. I’m not sure if it’s got a garnish added to it. I think it’s just got the juices of the vegetables. I don’t think the rice needs anything added to it. Uh sauté mushrooms. I let him have some rosemary on it with a really thin cup. Really nice star of the show is what’s it called? My fingers for this one, guys. There’s a bit of a dip as well, I think, at the bottom of that bowl as well. So, I don’t know if you want to try. Yeah, it’s like a garlic dip it comes with. Look at the size of that. Huge. I love pink bones. Just hope he’s got the texture of a lobster. I love that meatiness and that soft white meat. But they’re really nice. I think you’re going to enjoy those. How’s the garlic z? Amazing. So nice. Yeah. Yeah. Right. You going to go in for some of the maka now? Let’s hope it’s not as piping hot as the Oh, it looks quite steamy. Baby, you might need to That’s lovely. Good choice. So the food right in guys in this is the restaurant we’ve just been absolutely stunning. If so, if you go to Afad’s uh bath, you have to come here. The food is amazing. The best food we’ve had in Cyprus so far. We’re just talking about the food. We just finished eating. Yeah. Um and review um out of 10. I give it 10 out of 10. The food was absolutely incredible. Uh from the complimentary uh toast with garlic uh butter and the vagana really really nice. The uh garlic sauce was incredible. And the uh the prawns and the brasa so fresh. It’s it’s strange when when we get that back in the UK. It tastes nothing like that. I think it’s because of the all the ingredients and when you’re doing a tour of the island, you see all the natural vegetation and uh herbs and flora that are everywhere from banana plantations to pig um to uh olives just in the islands full of farmlands um and you can taste it in the food all that freshness. They don’t add anything to it. There’s no E numbers, no preservatives. Uh it’s just incredible. I would highly highly recommend this restaurant and the the views. It’s one of the best settings I’ve ever been at for for a restaurant. You have absolutely incredible service. Um I would definitely recommend uh Jim Toys. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you. Jimmy’s tours, they were saying they do a whole lot of other tours, not just this one. uh type village tours mountains um the one we’re on now but I think you said there’s about seven or eight different excursions you do and also you can get private excursions thank you very much thank you best we’ve had you from um from the UK from um a little town near Manchester in England so yes in Nepal yes where you from Nepal ah Thank you. I mean, we went we got a lot of food and that was what $70 for day excursion from door to door service. Uh, all guys amazing restaurant. the little big stops that Jimmy keeps making that not hard at all. He just takes the vibe from people down what they like and what they don’t and he keeps stopping. So you get lots of photo opportunities. So it’s definitely uh definitely worth. Yeah. And the ballroom’s really nice as well. Lots of areas. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] This is also one of the few remaining nesting sight of the monk sea, the most threatened mamalian species in the world. Heat. Heat. I’ve obviously injured my foot and gone with the same reason as most people that the water’s really cold. So, we’re just going to sit here and have a nice time. There’s not many people swimming at all. It’s a bit cold, but the uh the place itself is stunning. So, I definitely recommend coming here. It’s uh it’s beautiful. Think we’ve got about another 10 minutes, 15 minutes here or so, and then we’ll be headed back to uh the uh black port is where you uh get a ball from, and then it’ll be about a 45 minutes to an hour back. on our way back. Set off with about oh 5 minutes to go. So, so 3:45 till and then it’s uh it’s now time to move back. So, I think you it’ll take anything from 40 minutes to an hour. Bye-bye. [Music] Heat. Heat. We’ve had an amazing day today. Uh Jimmy’s a brilliant guides, full of life, big bubbly character, looks after. Very chatty, seems like a genuine uh guy. We’re going to keep in touch with him. So, I would definitely recommend his jeeps. He does lots and lots of excursions. I’ll put the web link uh in this video so you can see his uh website and what you can do. That’s why we keep on getting like our daily drink of choice now, isn’t it? This one. Uh there’s no suns up. But luckily on today’s excursion, we’ve had sun all day, haven’t we? Yeah. So, we can’t complain. Um I wish the sun would have been out more at uh the Blue Lagoon. Yeah, the captain and the guy was saying that it’s a shame because then it was really windy and the sun wasn’t always coming out. He said, but if the sun would have been out all the time, so it would have made the colors a lot more uh vibrant. And it was really cold water today, not many people got in. Yeah, I was going to, but then I thought I’m cold on the boat. So, if it’s colder in the water than it is on the boat, I’m never going to get warm again. I mean, that’s why people went in the water. I heard a lot of screaming when they were jumping in. really sells it, doesn’t it? I think once they jumped in though and realized how cold it was and got out, they then didn’t go back in for that reason cuz it was taking them a long time to cool down. So, none of us braved it. So, but a lot of people didn’t brave it either. No, I think I think the family we were with Jimmy, I think she was saying like Yeah, they would have gone in. Yeah. So, I think there was only about maybe six people on our boat, but again, the boat wasn’t float either. He was going through how many people uh can go on each deck of the boat and I’d say it was about quarter full. Yeah, it was it was really empty. Um and also I forgot to mention on there as well near the at the part of the Blue Lagoon they they were giving out free wine uh white wine and orange juice and we didn’t go down for any cuz we just bought a beer and uh a mjito. But that that was a nice touch. I’m not sure how long they’re giving out drinks for or how many drinks you can have or whe it was just one drink, but I should have gone down to be honest and filmed it, but I didn’t. But yeah, if you go on that boat trip and I think German said it was €25 to do that. So yeah, if you if you if you just going to Ly Har took it didn’t take long to get there, did it either? No. 40 minutes there I think and 40 minutes back and we spent about an hour there in total. So it’s a nice and latchy as well. You were saying it’s in up and cominging area. It was really nice around there. You can see there’s a lot of investment. He said they’re building new hotels around there now. Um and there’s a lot of restaurants and bars, but it looks like a really nice area. So yeah, right. I’m going to shut up and so drink our drinks. So I’ll see you in a bit. These are the views of today. The sun’s gone. Right, it’s quart 6. Uh, we’ve had a couple of drinks at the Sunset Bar and we’re going to go back up to the hotel room now and get showered and ready. And our meal is booked in at 8:30 at the Italian restaurant, which I’ve not tried. So, all in all, we’ve had a really, really good day today. It’s uh with the excursion uh the food, the tips, the drinks we bought, we probably spent what €210, something like that. Yeah. So € 105 each. But that’s we’ve had an incredible day for that. It’s really good value. Really? You know, we made lots of friends, got some really good memories, taken lots of amazing photographs, and it’s been really nice way of seeing Cypress today. And the tour guy took us to additional spots that weren’t on the itinerary. Yeah, we got to see the donkeys. Yeah, the donkeys. And we got footage of that. I’m not sure how it’s turned out, but uh the donkeys were amazing. And this excursion was replaced with another excursion we were supposed to do. Yeah, we were supposed to do that yesterday. Yeah, we were supposed to see the donkeys uh donkey central yesterday. Yeah. So, we’re happy now we got to see donkeys. I’m happy. Yeah. So yeah, we’ve had an amazing day. So we’re just going to up and get ready now. Hello everyone. Uh we’re all dressed and ready for our uh last alakart of the four included alakarts and it’s the Italian. So again, I’ll try and film as much as I can. This one might be a little bit more difficult because it’s quite a small restaurant uh and the tables are quite close together. So if I can’t talk, I’ll just film the food and then talk over the top of it. We’re booked in there at half past 8. We haven’t got any plans after that. have a couple of drinks. I’m up early in the morning because I’ve got an hotel tour to do. So, I’m going to be getting up at half five maybe to get out there for 6 25 and we booked in there at our pass. So, I’m going to wrap it up, guys. And uh we’ll see you soon. All right. So, we’re just walking to the restaurant. We actually find it’s quicker to get down to where the uh restaurants are. Well, certainly the Italian walking to the very end of the corridor. Uh so, the lifts take you down to where the spa is and then we come out that way. [Music] So, we’re just walking down to the uh Italian Oh, and they got a little jewelry store, aren’t they? Today, forgot to tell you. So, this is the first night we’ve seen this [Music] So, this is called So, you got a 10% discount. Oh, you got a text card as well. Car machines there. Excellent. Have you booked for the I think I’m going to go for the ricotta. So, ricotta and spinach ravioli and then the the lama book. Yes, we are. Thank you. And then the tiramisu and then the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, I think. I’m not sure what that is. Like a tomato. I think that might be like a pesto. Pesto. And then we got some bread rolls. And I’ve changed my mind for the appetizer. I’ve gone for the salmon instead of the ricotta. And our drinks here as well. gone for the salmon steak salad, which looks very nice. And Gemma has gone for the uh Italian stuffed mushroom. I actually looked at that one. I was going to get it. Oh, was going to be the uh ratoto bowls. Yeah, I thought I thought you that that was what I thought you’d go for when I saw that on the menu. Oh, a hello cutie. Is that your chair? He’s a cute cat. Very friendly, aren’t you? That face. Oh, he’s looking at you. He knows you’re the one that’s got the food. I’ve got the salmon. He’s doing that that cute little face. He’s looking at me. He is looking. He’s like, I know what you’ve got. A Oh, he knows how to play the game, don’t you? We go for the salmon steak. We got a little bit of company there waiting to get in. I know. He’s blinking as well. So, I’m ignoring him. You’re used to doing that at home, aren’t you? The salmon’s really fresh. It’s lovely. Lots of flavor salmon video and uh fresh uh cherry tomatoes with lettuce and uh not sure what else he’s got. And some onion, but it’s really nice. Mhm. It’s all nice. little friend here wants some punches. Oh, look at that little face. I love looking. I’ve got a cat looking at me. And I’ve got Gemma. He’s got a very cute face. Any for a cat? He’s got quite unique face. I I know. I I try I do this at home. I try and make him give our cat some and he doesn’t have any of it. The food’s really nice. refresh. Um, so nice you won’t even share it with the cutest little cat. We couldn’t film before when people sat next to us. We don’t really like filming when other people sat right next to us cuz it’s it’s day. We don’t sp Yeah. So far food’s really nice. I’m going to have to edit quite a bit there. The cat was the star of the show on that one, not the food. Not there’s anything wrong with the food. It’s just that the cat was the star of the show. Yeah, easily distracted. Easily. That’s how that’s my life. That easily distracted. If there’s a cat or a dog, that’s it. I’m right back in the queue. And the pecking order. And the becking order. We’ve had our uh starter. Mhm. We’ve had the out some dips as well with some bread. So, we’ve had that and now we’re waiting for our main course. And we’ve got uh Is it lamb? Not for the lamb. Yeah. And I’ve gone for a dessert. Well, I’ve not chose it yet, but I already know what I’m going for. Too I think Gemma’s going for the cheesecake. Then if she doesn’t eat it, I’ll eat it for her. Cuz when I go back home, I’m back on a health kick. Cuz we’re going away shortly, aren’t we? Once we get back again. Yes, please. Thank you very much. Cheers, buddy. Cheers. Thank you. The lamb muscle. That’s how you pronounce it, but it looks really nice. And Gemma has gone for the exact same. Looks like there’s plenty of lamb there. Mhm. You’re looking forward to that one? I am. I’m looking forward to digging in. So, that lamb just falls apart. It’s brazed lamb. So, imagine if you do a a stew in a slow cooker, it just falls apart. It’s exactly what it’s doing now. So just try and get some see there. That’s really nice. Got loads of uh flavor and it’s all soaked into the lamb. Uh I can taste like a kind of onion gravy that goes with it and it goes perfectly with it. Kind of like that. Yeah. Yeah. It feels like it’s been braced or slow cut for a very long time. Well, you can see like there’s um like what looks like a sprig of rosemary where it’s just like kind of all the rosemary has fallen off. It’s just falling apart. Uh, and you got like a a little uh I would say exactly like a roast potato, but it’s roasted, but not sauteed potato. Sauteed potatoes with fresh broccoli as well. Dead fresh. Couple choices. Yeah, I think he’s going to like this one. Gone for the tioo. And Gemma has gone for the uh lemon cheesecake. Lemon cheesecake. They both look very nice. They’re not big desserts, which is good. We’ve eaten quite a lot today. So, they’re they’re perfect size. So, we eat these and we’ll let you know how they are. So, that is the turisu. I love tasu. So, that’s perfect for me. And that is Gemma’s lemon cheesecake. It looks like it’s got a strawberry puree as well. It looks very zesty and lemony down. Mhm. Taste test of the uh taste test of the soup. It’s not over sickly. I think some turis you get like a chocolate syrup on them and they can overdo it, but that’s just got a tiny bit of uh chocolate syrup in the middle of it. It’s quite uh it’s quite spongy. It’s not dense. You can’t taste a lot of the uh the cure not that you normally taste when you have a tisuit. So, it’s it’s a light turbuty one. Just make sure it’s got a crumbly uh biscuit base and it looks like very zesty with um a strawberry uh syrup. Sorry, a strawberry puree. Throw that. Yeah. Yeah. That’s that is really zesty the lemon. And it’s um it’s nice and thick and the uh crumbly base isn’t too crumbly. It’s just a really thin layer. And for yours, that’s nice. But if I’m being honest, I actually prefer the turisu when you get the snap bar. Yeah, the snap bar more more than that. That’s that’s a different kind of turisu. It’s very spongy. But you know, normally when you get turisu, that sponge is salt. Yeah. In the um in the um in the spirit. Yeah. The coffee. But that isn’t it’s I think it’s not as uh salt in the uh alcohol. So I think I prefer the tur from there more and I think that’s the star of the show. But I think you’ll like that one. Really nice. It’s not sickly. Both of them aren’t sickly at all. So I think these are more your desserts. That’s why I think I prefer the turboo there because it’s more sickly. Yeah, I love my sugary sweet things where GMA is more she doesn’t like sugar based uh desserts and pudding. So, I think you’ll like that one more. Okay. All right. Well, I’ll give it a whirl. Give it a go. Thank you. Here’s a question. Out of the four alocarts, how would you rate them? Fourth place, third, second, and first. course would be the Greek because the vid was really nice but in terms of like my main course with it being Maka I’ve had better so it wasn’t it was bad it was just like obviously as a comparison one of them has to go bottom so I’d say I would say that and then I would say probably here would be third cuz everything was really tasty. Well, I would say like for me the standout dishes would have been the salmon. So when I’ve had salmon here has been exceptional. So I would say yeah the Greek and then the Italian and then the um the American diner and then the Asian Asian. So Greek, Italian, American diner and Asian. That’s your list. Mine’s pretty similar to that to be honest. My fourth place would be the Italian. I think it’s the only restaurant where I’ve left and not been full. Uh, and I’m a real foodie. I love my big portions. Uh, the lamb dish I got was, as much as it was nice, I had a lot of bone, so I didn’t have much that much lamb on mine. So, I think that’s that’s the reason. Uh the starter is really nice and the puddings have been really nice, but again I like sticky puddings. So for me the puddings have been better in the other restaurants, but again it’s all subjective. So I’d have my Italian fourth. I’d have the Greek uh first. I generally liked everything there. Um really enjoyed it. My second would be the steak. Same as you. The steak I got last from there was incredible. There wasn’t an ounce of fat on it. It was really nice and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved every thing I I got there last night, but Star Shaw for me is definitely Asian. Yeah. Uh the sushi platter that we got was it was it was well worth the money. I think they said they had a price next to which was €8, but I’d pay that in any restaurant for that sushi. Uh it’s weird. You you go to some places, you think it’s going to be little tiny rows of sushi and where it’s more rice than it is fish, but I they put more fish than they did rice on the sushi. So, that’s what I really like. They didn’t scrimp on the quality of fish that they made with that sushi. It was it was professional sushi. It was incredible. And the sushimi that we had was thick pieces of sushimi, not just a thin layer of sushimi. And it wasn’t just one, was four pieces of sashimi in there. Uh I enjoyed everything about the Asia. We so much so we want to actually book it again and spoke about booking it again. But uh tomorrow we’re going to probably try the buffet cuz we not tried it yet. And on the last day we’re going to try the Georgian restaurant. We we’ve been because we’ve heard rumors we don’t know whether it’s true or not but we’ll get to find out. We’ve heard that check out is at 12:00. When you get checked out, they cut your wristband so you don’t get access to anything. You can use the facilities here like swimming pool and sunbeds. Um, probably not even somewhere. That’s probably going to be taken away, isn’t it? I would imagine. Not sure. Not sure. But that doesn’t matter for us, but we’ve been told that you can’t get any drinks or food free. You have to pay for everything once you check out at 12:00. But our flight’s not until 20 11 at night. So, we’ll wait and see whether that’s true tomorrow. Either way, so we’re going to do a buffet tomorrow cuz we’ve not done it. And then we’re going to do the Georgian restaurant, which is up the road. So, yeah, that’s our choices. Pretty similar, aren’t they? It’s just the last three that were different. So, we filmed as much as we can. Um, we’re not sure what we’re going to do now. We’re going to go up to the cocktail bar. I want to try espresso martini. And up at the cocktail bar, you get different drinks than you do at the other two bars. There’s a different cocktail menu up there. Do a more extensive cocktail list. Um, and then we’ll just play it from there. So, I’m getting distracted. There’s a bushy cat there. They got bushy tail. A It’s huge. It’s really seen a bushy tail like that before. That’s valuable. They didn’t have any cocktail makers on the bar this time. They normally have them up there. News is good. So we’ll wait and see where they got any later on. Well, there is additional cocktails that you can get at this particular bar that you can’t get at the other bar. Uh we love it here. They have live entertainment here. Some amazing uh singers here. Welcome back to my Cyprus vlog series at the beautiful St George Hotel Spa & Beach Resort in Chlorakas, Paphos 🇨🇾. This is Vlog 9 of our 8-night All Inclusive Plus holiday with Jet2 Holidays, flying from Manchester to Paphos ✈️ and staying at this adults-only hotel right on the seafront.

In today’s vlog we take you along on an adventure-packed excursion with Jimmy’s Jeep Adventures, a local company highly recommended by so many people we spoke to during our stay. Our original trip was cancelled, but luckily Jimmy had a couple of last-minute spots available – and we honestly couldn’t have wished for a better day!

This excursion, called “Over Land and Sea”, cost €60 per person and gave us the chance to see Cyprus in the most unique way – half by jeep 🛻 and half by boat ⛵.

We started bright and early after breakfast at the Thea Buffet Restaurant, then met Jimmy outside the hotel at 8.30am. The tour began with a stop at the famous Peyia Sea Caves and the striking Edro III Shipwreck ⚓ before heading to St George’s Harbour and Church, where we also stepped inside the medieval chapel. From here, you can see Yeronisos Island in the distance – absolutely stunning!

The off-road adventure through the Akamas Peninsula was incredible, with stops at Coral Bay, a local banana plantation, and even to learn about the Oleander plant (Nerium Oleander) – one of the most dangerous plants in the world 🌿. We then continued on to Lara Bay Turtle Conservation Station, where turtles nest each year 🐢, before heading to the Lara Viewpoint, with jaw-dropping coastal views. Fun fact: this is where parts of the Netflix film Find Me Falling were shot 🎬.

Other highlights included visiting a donkey farm 🫏, exploring a semi-abandoned Turkish Cypriot village, and reaching the legendary Baths of Aphrodite. Here we enjoyed a delicious meal at the Baths of Aphrodite Restaurant 🍴 – one of the best meals we had in Cyprus, with views over the sparkling Mediterranean.

From Latchi Harbour, we boarded the Alkion II boat with Latchi Boat Cruises for a scenic trip to the Blue Lagoon 💙. Despite the wind making it too chilly for a swim, the water was unbelievably clear, and we enjoyed the views with a drink in hand. The boat also treated us to fruit and wine before we cruised back to shore.

This was without doubt our favourite excursion of the whole holiday 🙌. With only six of us on the jeep, it felt like a private tour, and Jimmy made the day so personal and memorable. If you’re in Paphos, Cyprus, we 100% recommend Jimmy’s Jeep Adventures.

Back at the hotel, Gemma was delighted to be reunited with her hat (left behind at the pool bar a few days earlier – thankfully someone handed it in 🎩). We then enjoyed cocktails at the Sunset Beach Bar 🍹, followed by a superb Italian dinner at Mercato A La Carte Restaurant. The evening ended with more cocktails and live music at the Avacas Cocktail Bar – the perfect way to round off a brilliant day.

This trip with Jimmy’s Jeep Adventures really showed us the magic of Cyprus – from hidden coves and sea caves to turtle beaches, blue lagoons, and warm local hospitality. It was a full day (back by 5.15pm), but we loved every second.
