During the Cold War era, Berlin was sometimes referred to as the world’s smost divided city, and since then, it has become one of the world’s leading cultural and political centers. But what else do you need to know about this city? First of all, the city was established by 1058 and it grew to become an important trading center and a member of the Hansiatic League. Nuremberg experienced its golden age in the late Middle Ages when it was home to around 40,000 people. Today, Nermberg is a major industrial and transportation hub and is also one of the most important cultural centers in Germany.
