@Escapetofrance-Charente – The Northern Most Part Of The South West of France
Good morning everyone. Morning. Morning. It’s uh it’s day three. Day three. Yeah, Ethan’s confirmed it. Day three. And just and just had night two. We have had night two. It’s a good way to look at it. I couldn’t work out. So, what two things today, haven’t we? What have we got to do? Need to get some bread. Bread. And we need to probably have a little walk around to see what it’s like in the morning cuz this place is it’s very nice, isn’t it? Now you saw in last week’s episode we were on the bridge in Conalon. Well, we still are in confl on the water at this time in the morning and then go get some bread. Yeah, let’s go. Come on. Just got down to the river. I’ll try not to speak too loudly cuz I don’t want to upset any of the other people here cuz that’s not fair obviously. Look at this. If it wasn’t for that the toilet block there, I’ll be able to see the motor home. It’s about 30 m away. So, it’s really close and there are close pictures as well as being ones further away. But, it’s really nice. Wish I’d have come down here to watch the sunrise or at least the light come up if I couldn’t see the sunrise itself. It’s really beautiful. Ethan nearly fell down the hill. Careful. Canoes we went in yesterday, in case Jamie hasn’t already told you, were free. So, that was quite impressive. We could hire a kayak or canoe, I’m not sure. Um, yeah, we went and signed a piece of paper. Understandably, we would have to replace it if we broke it and all that kind of stuff, which is, you know, same as if you hired it. Yeah, it was free. There’s a few other things they do here which are free as well, which is quite impressive. It’s time for bread. Should I get some bread? Come on then. In last week’s episode, I did mention that it was like tents, motor homes, camper vans, chalets, maybe not chalets. There’s these pods in the background. If you can see that, there’s these like safari places here. There’s two of those. But there’s some guys here that have also got a hammock just between two trees. So, there’s a big variety of of sleeping arrangements. How would you uh describe the campsite? Great. Great, isn’t it? [Music] We’ve got one baguette and two cotton. Right. So, we’re up. We’re dressed. We showered. We’re ready to go, aren’t we? Where are we going to go now? To see Roba. Yes. in the northernmost tip. Southwest of France. Yes, we are. We’re going to go to We’re going to go further into Conflon where we went last night, aren’t we? Find them. First job, we got to take the motor home off the leveling blocks. We got to unplug the power, put the cable away, and we’ve got to put away the jacks, the levery kind of stabilizers. We got the back of the motor home. We’ve got about 5 minutes because Rob and Lis are on their way. Quickly go. [Music] Let’s [Music] We’ve arrived. That’s got to be the shortest journey ever. So, we’re now in this humongous municipal car parking thing. I think it I think it’s m municipal. I’m always going to struggle with that word. Um, so yeah, we’re literally on the edge of the town. We’re just going to walk in. It’s like 2 3 minutes 5 minutes maybe. We’re slow. We put the wheel lock on, lock the motor home, and we’re going to walk. Hey, how are you? Am I on? Thank you, guys. That’s amazing. Oh, what’s in here? Thank you. You’re welcome. Anna, Anna and Elsa. Okay, so there’s a slight change of plan. Nowhere is open in Convalon. So, we’re going to follow them to uh somewhere else. Somewhere good. Apparently, hopefully it’s only pizza for pizza. No, pizza’s tonight, Ethan. Oh, no. Pizza tonight. So, we’re going to going to hit the road and we’re going to start driving and we’re going to follow them there. Hopefully. Hopefully, we don’t lose them cuz that’s not going to go very well, is it? We’ll be lost in the northmost tip of the southwest of France. Right. Ow. Jenny just hit her head. Right, sit down. Let’s go. [Music] [Music] There is a lot of English cars here. Are we going to have some lunch? You hungry? Yeah. What sort of food? I don’t know. I want to sit next to you. Yeah. The boys. We’re happy. Remember, we’re happy. Say we’re happy. [Music] Right, that’s food done. The kids played while we had a nice chance to catch up. Right, let’s go. [Music] only. So, we’re heading back to Robin Lisa’s now. We’re going to spend the afternoon, evening, and night at her house. Very exciting. Really cool to meet them. They are very cool people, obviously, because they’re just cool. We’re having curry. Jan’s going to have the hottest curry she’s ever had in her life. Um, I’m going to have a hot curry. Kids having pizza. Eva, are you excited about meeting the horses? said, “Yes, you can’t hear her.” [Music] I’ve seen some horse in the field. Now, tomorrow morning, we’ve got to head off very early, probably like 8:00 to get to a place. It’s not in the north most tip of the southwest of France. It’s actually in the southern most I don’t know where you describe it as being peaceful. It’s really peaceful. It is peaceful, but that’s not a direction. Yeah, it’s a peaceful place, but it’s uh yeah, we’re going to we’re going to Pongra. Well, we’re actually going to the Temple Salon. So, if you’ve heard of anyone that lives in that area, you’ll know where we’re going. If you haven’t already, subscribe, like, obviously, and comment. I’m quite filled up after that burger. Delicious. And that was a very, very beautiful place. I think that would be very nice on a hot summer’s day. Surprised there weren’t more people there. There’s quite a few English people. There was definitely more French cars than English, but it it was it was uh it was a heavy heavy helping of English people. Um, like like the campsite we were at this morning, you could hear all the English people talking from miles away. Very loud. It’s kind of embarrassing really. We need to get a French number plates on our no time just to disguise ourselves slightly. We’re currently following Rob and Lisa. They’re driving like they’re in a car. We’re trying to copy them. No, not really. They’re actually I think they’re trying to be patient with us cuz obviously the motor home’s not super fast. They seem to be driving slower than we would in a car. So, either they’re slow drivers or they’re being patient with us. It takes quite a lot to get a van or a motor home to copy the speed of a car, especially acceleration and braking and round corners. You can’t go around a corner in a motor home like you can a car. Everything just falls off the shelves. Now, we don’t meet YouTube celebrities every day. This is a this is a rare thing. And, you know, they’re not normally cited in the wild. So, this is quite special. But I believe you can pay for a meet and greet with Rob and Lisa. I think it’s £25,000 for a half an hour slot. What do you want me to talk about? What do you want to talk about? I don’t know. So, we were just discussing the idea of living in a French community. Not the idea of us living in France, but for someone to live in France as English. Is it best they live in an expat community where everyone speaks English or more people speak English with less exposure to French or is it best to live fully immersed in French life, French culture, French language and have to learn everything with no English assistance? Views below please. Surely it’s better to be immersed fully. You don’t get a choice but to learn the language. That’s what I would prefer. I think it may be harder, stressful, might not be as nice, but by learning you’re going to be able to learn a lot quicker. having the opportunity not to learn. I would assume not very constructive, but I don’t know. Anyone got any experience? Let me know. So, we are now in the northernmost tip of the southwest of France. Northernmost tip of the southwest of France. So, we’re we’re now 4 minutes away from the house. Apparently, there’s a quiz to do on the channel. I Let’s see. It might not be a quiz, but obviously we know everything about the channel. We watch every episode intently. So hopefully if there is a quiz, I’m hoping I can win something. Hopefully I can win the chance to stay the night. Maybe if I maybe if we lose the quiz, we have to go home. It’ll be like, uh, I’m a celebrity. Get me out of here. I hope we win. [Music] [Music] Hello everyone. [Music] How was that? Good. That was fun. I um riding on the lawn mower. [Applause] So, here we have Rob Ethan from what YouTube channel are you? Family Go Explore. Family Go Explore. Have you had a good day so far? Very good. Yeah, thank you. But yeah, that was a nice lunch. That’ll be that today. Delicious. Down by the Lax of Horsesh. We’re just having a bit of a play around on the uh on the garden tractor. Did you enjoy that? Yeah. So, uh hope you all had a great What day is it today? I always say this. What day is it? Is it Wednesday? Wednesday. Wednesday. We all had a great Tuesday. Wednesday. See you Friday. Lers. Layers. Layers. They’re going fast. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Where are you now? Have you had a good day, Ethan? Yeah. Yeah. Where have we been? Or in fact, where are we? The north northernmost tip of the southwest of France. We are. We just had an incredible day. There’s a dog. Let me wait for the dog to stop barking. Oh, come. There’s a horsey. You see the horse, Ethan? Oh, yeah. Okay. Try again. So, uh, we’ve had a wonderful day with Bob, Lisa, Robbie, and Angel. Yeah, we have, haven’t we? It’s been so nice. Such a beautiful place around here. And obviously such wonderful people. If you haven’t already, which you probably have cuz they’re famous, check them out on YouTube. Yeah. Okay. So, you can probably tell that it’s quite dark. The camera is very good at making things look light. So based on that, you can tell how dark it is. Is it dark, Ethan? Yeah. Yeah. The sky has still got a bit light there. So we’re walking. We’ve gone on a bit of walk. It’s probably going to be a half an hour walk in total. Yeah. And we’re just kind of winding down, aren’t we? Having a nice peaceful walk. It’s so quiet around here, isn’t it? Like the sounds. Yeah. The trees. What can you hear? Bats. Yeah. and crickets. Yeah. Is it good? Yeah. Should we keep going? I think we might have to say good night to everyone as well. Okay. Should say thanks for watching. Thanks for watching and see you next week. Next week. Next week. Good night. Good night. Bye. Bye.

Как вы считаете, лучше жить в англоязычном сообществе во Франции или полностью погрузиться в местную культуру и язык?
