Welcome To Gozo Island Malta! 🇲🇹

Hi guys, welcome to our Malta travel series. [Music] Stay tuned and journey with us as we 
discover together this wonderful Mediterranean country [Music] In today’s episode, we get 
to explore the island of Gozo. We will try some local foods, visit a famous cave, relax at Ramla

Malta. We are now at the terminal of the boat, a passenger and car boat. The boat is just there. 
It just came now. And we’re going to embark now and make our way to Gozo. We are excited to explore 
this island which is part of Malta. You can actually see it there up in the distance. Out in the distance, you can see Gozo already. We We will be checking some spots in Gozo. Ferries, I think, 
go every 30 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes. So, let’s go to the boat. [Music] And we are 
now walking towards the boat. [Music] [Music] For now, we start the 
ferry going to Gozo. Let’s go. [Music] We’re going to Gozo now [Music] [Music] We’ve just reached in Gozo. We’re about to 
park. That’s where we’re going to go down. The boat already opened the front part and 
we are going to explore Gozo today. [Music] We just came out of the Gozo ferry 
terminal and we’re going to make our way to the car. We’ve rented another 
electric vehicle for our Gozo trip. We are now on our way to pick up our car. As 
you exit the terminal, uh you take a right to find this uh parking. You can already see it 
there. We’re going to cross the street now and pick up our rental car. This is our car. Look 
at it in all its glory. Full of dust and dirt. We’re going to pick it up now. It doesn’t even have a cover here. Daddy. All righty. So, we just got to rent 
a car. I wish they can wash it. It’s very dusty and dirty. Dirty. It’s like it 
has been abandoned for some time. But we got the car and we are grateful for that. 
Let’s make our way and explore Gozo. [Music] And onto the first place that is uh 
a bakery where they say they have the best ftira and best pizza on the island 
of Gozo. Destination is on the left. I’ve just picked up the famous pizza and 
ftira. We got the our favorite and we got for Elijah Margarita pizza. So, let’s 
try it out and see how it tastes. [Music] I’m now trying the pizza. And this is just a regular margarita pizza, but as you can see, it’s very, very cheesy and oily. Um, it is soft and hot as well. So, let me just check it out. It’s not 
salty. Even if there’s a lot of cheese, it’s so good. I think the oiliness comes from 
the cheese itself. It’s like a cheese bread, a soft Arabic cheese bread. I say it’s a good 
one, especially if you’re hungry like us. This is another type of um pizza, right? It’s 
called Ftira. Yeah. And this is what’s called our favorite, but I’m not saying it’s my favorite, 
but it’s the name the name of the Ftira is our favorite. So, as you can see, there are like 
potato slices on top. There’s a bread there under. There’s a pepperoni or is it salami? 
baked um ham, cheese, mushroom, egg, onions, tomatoes. So, let’s try it. [Music] It’s like a 
unique twist of a pizza because of its uniqueness. It’s quite good. It’s my time to try it now. 
The ftira, the local version of pizza. [Music] It’s so rich in ingredients. Everything is 
there mixed together on top of each other. I like it. It’s so rich in ingredients. 
It’s good. We are now trying the pizza, the margarita. [Music] Let’s see how it tastes. [Music] Yeah, it’s nice. It feels like a cheese 
bread. It’s well done. Tomato, cheese, nice bread. I think my favorite between 
the two is the pizza. This one. [Music] We are back on the road from the pizza and ftira 
place and we are now on the way to one of the most beautiful beaches in Gozo apparently. Let’s see how it goes. And they have a nice cave there and um let’s see how that looks like. Take the next left 
on Triula Tiger J. Then turn right onto Triul. [Music] Just reach Ramla Beach. We are setting up our 
spot here. Elijah will be playing in the sand. He got his toys. Sheryll will be looking after him. I’m going to be moving around and try to see different uh vantage points of this beach. I will be going 
there to the cave. There’s a cave there up. Let’s see how uh the views are from there. Yeah. So, 
we’re going to be chilling out here for now. [Music] The sand of this beach reminds me of the dunes, 
the sand of um UAE. And um I’m not really liking the seaweeds everywhere in the shore being 
um uh being thrown here. Yeah. Yeah. We I mean the shore looks like it’s leaving like 
a black um shade of the water. Unfortunately, at the time of our visit, there was 
a seaweed invasion. Nevertheless, and in spite of this, the Ramla Bay remains one of 
Gozo’s stunning must visit coastal places. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] I am now making my way to the cave here at 
the beach. There’s a nice cave overlooking the entire beach. Just going to walk now to it 
and see what are the views from there. I just stopped over at one of the viewing points here. 
Wow, check it out. Very nice. Look at this. Let’s go to the cave and see what is it all about. [Music] I’m just approaching the 
cave. Let’s see. This is the way here. [Music] There it is. Quite high. Nice 
view here. Nice view from up here. [Music] We just finished here the cave. That’s a 
beautiful cave. Probably the cave with the one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. 
Something indeed unique. I’m not really sure. Most probably it’s man-made. Not not sure if it’s 
natural, but uh nevertheless, it looks gorgeous. [Music] We left the beach area. I think 
the highlight uh there is the cave, not the beach. The beach is okay, but it’s 
very raw. So, you’ll have a lot of seaweeds and it’s a bit more raw. It’s nice beach, but 
I think the cave is the highlight here. Now, we are on the way to Cittadella. Cittadella 
in Gozo. Let’s go to the Gozo Cittadella. [Music] We just reach the cittadella parked our car and we 
are now inside. This is Pjazza Katidral. The cathedral plaza. Check it out. A must visit in 
Gozo. The ancient fortified city of Cittadella has been at the center of activity on the island 
since 1,500 BC. In the middle of this pjazza, there is what you call the citadel stone circle and they are actually under and um sometimes in some occasions they’re opening it and that is where it is. Look at that. That is the stone circle. And when you enter the citadel 
itself, you will be greeted by this church. [Music] Check out these streets here. And can 
you hear the bells? They have a symphony. We are about to reach now one of 
the viewing points over the city. Check it out. [Music] We’re inside the Cittadella and we passed the cathedral. And I think that view of the church of the cathedral is just amazing. Located on top of a hill, the Citadel offers 
incredible views over its surroundings. The Citadel was built by military architects as 
a strategic defense point. Rebuilt multiple times during its history, the Citadel 
comprises of buildings with military and religious significance, but also with 
private residences. This place is truly a must visit when in Gozo and surrounding 
the Cittadella are good viewpoints of Gozo. [Music] We are now roaming around the streets of 
the Cittadella and Elijah is sleeping. He’s giving himself a nice break and he’s 
giving us a nice break as well to do pictures and videos. Look at that on your 
right. I thought I think those are ruins. Look at these limestones. A nice touch to it. And considering it has been here for a 
very long time. And as you can see, there’s no cement or something that hold on 
to it. They’re just put on top of one another. [Music] [Applause] [Music] When I’m very rich and I’ll have a house 
and I have a very big one. I will build something similar to this. I’ll have 
arches with limestones. This is like a pathway going to my garden. It’s going 
to be like this. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] We are now exiting the Cittadella. I would 
say it’s like a smaller version of Mdina, but uh yeah, it’s nevertheless very 
pleasant, nice narrow streets, very picturesque place. [Music] We finished with the Cittadella. We 
are back on the road roaming around Gozo. Someone wants to go to McDonald’s. 
Elijah, where are we going? McDonald’s. Elijah wants to have a stopover at
