LA BLANCHE ISLAND BODRUM 2025 PART 1

Right. Hello once again, YouTubers. Andy with you with a another few videos. So, we just got back from Turkey. We had a 10day uh break myself and my wife. We were celebrating her 60th birthday and our 38th wedding anniversary. Uh I took my drones with me. I took my cameras with with me. I’ve got gigabytes and gigabytes of footage to try and troll through to try and make some kind of sense of it all by making videos. So, I’m going to do my absolute best. I don’t know how many videos I’m going to make of this, but what I do come up with, I want it to be very watchable and of interest to you out there, the public. Uh there’s a lot of dross out there which I’m going to kind of cut through and I just want to get to the real kind of good meaty stuff. So, uh I flew my drones FPV style with the DJI Neo around the hotel complex, which was brilliant. I also flew my um DJI flip as well in and around the complex and in the city of Co in Greece and also the city of Bodram. Uh so let’s just get straight into it then and uh I’ll just see if I can make something worthwhile. Okay, here we go. It should be okay. I think I’ll give it a go and find out. Right. Here we go then, guys. Some reason we got I just record uh we got zero satellites. Um okay, that’s um it’s probably not a very good um thing to do, is it? If I got zero satellites. Okay, I think I might scrub this one and go down by the beach. I got one satellite. I ain’t risking it. That’s no good. Two satellites. Three. Oh, getting better. I need at least 11 or 15. I think I’ll take it down by the beach. I was kind of hoping to fly out there actually. Have a bit of a fly around the hotel complex, but if I’ve only got I got five satellites now. That’s No, that’s not enough. Okay. Yep. I think it’d be a wise idea if I was to scrub this and go and do it somewhere else. Right. We’re just waiting for a few satellites. I got 10 11. I get filming straight. I got recording straight away. Okay. Right. Here we are then, guys. This is where we are. Just around here at the moment. Just going to fly you up and around this place. This is a different part uh of the complex. I think not actually been over I’ve been over here. I think I I think I may have done actually. Right, we’re just going to put on sports mode. Uh there’s a bit of wind about today, so I got to be a little bit careful about the wind. Uh but we’re just going to have a nice little cruise around. Uh this hotel, the Blanch, it’s called the Blanch Island. And it’s on a bit of an island. Security gate down there. So, we won’t uh go too near the security gate. Just in case they come running up here, who’s flying a drone? You’re not supposed to be doing that. Anyway, I think I pro I’m pretty I think I’m okay actually to do that. Um I’m just going to go over past myself. Okay, let’s have a little look down here, shall we? Okay, take it down towards the beach area over the water. Don’t really like to fly over the water if I was honest. just in case something bad happens, let’s say. And uh it can it can do obviously. Right. Going down towards the uh aqua park. There we go. Back up towards myself. Straight over me. There you go. Straight over me. Uh 3D app. Well, well, the amphitheater, one of them anyway. Right, we’ll bank it back round. Uh, this is just one side of the the complex. Um, yeah, you can kind of go over this side as well. I say it’s a big old a big old place. Okay. Right. If I go around the other side of the building, I might lose connectivity and it might want to do something a bit weird. Uh, so we I’ll um perhaps I’ll just take it down here, I think. Yeah, I’m just starting to lose a bit of uh connection. Image transmission is a a bit weak. So I bring it back in a homey direction. I think it’s lovely beaches. Water sports area around here somewhere. Yeah. Okay. Right. Right. We take it back around then. Take it up. Take it around. Take it back towards the uh hotel complex. Just struggling a bit in the wind there. You can see it’s been knocked sideways and um straight over over my head. There we go. straight over the water park and we’ll whip it back round. I think we’ll take it in for a bit of a landing. So, I’ll just take it up a little bit, I think. Lovely blue sky today. Oh, yeah. Let’s go around um perhaps the front of the building perhaps. Go around the reception area. Okay, people still having breakfast by the look of it. Okay, I’m just pixulating a little bit, so I’m just going to take it back. There we go. There we go. A bit of a fly around this part of the the complex. You can see it’s quite big. It’s interesting. There we go. Brilliant. Good stuff. There we go. That completes a little fly for this morning. I’ll do a little bit of um uh telematics down below. Uh anyway, so come on then. Let’s uh have a fly around, shall we? Get this thing up in the air. There we go. Okay. Right. So, we want to Where do we want to fly? Which direction should we fly in? Let’s have a little look, shall we? Uh, let’s go over I think perhaps in this direction somewhere. I’m just going to stick you on sports mode. Okay. You have a bit of a fly around here. There’s a bit of a wind around, a bit of a breeze. You can see the uh drone being pushed. Uh it’s on a bit of a bit of a slant, isn’t it? Take it up a little bit. Got to be I got to be really really careful here because uh there’s a bit of a breeze around and uh getting a high wind velocity reading. So I don’t really want this thing kind of um ending up in the sea being blown blown around like it is at the moment. It’s really getting buffeted around, isn’t it? Could try and take it down a little bit. Take more towards my home point. Gosh. Well, it’s Yeah, the two axis gimbal is really um struggling, isn’t it? It’s on It’s on a massive slant. Probably not probably not a great place to fly if I was honest. But uh I take it back towards my home point. Might just take it past. We’re just going to go over here, have a little fly around these trees, just see what there is. I mean, keep your eyes open, guys. You never know, you might see something diving and jumping around or whatever else. Uh, it’s just nice to be somewhere different really, kind of flying around. Yeah. Okay. Right. Let’s have a little look in here, shall we? See what there is. Okay, I’ll take it take it down here. Don’t want to be too far away from my home point, which is over basically straight ahead. It’s just nice just to uh go somewhere different. It’s lovely and peaceful and quiet up here. Let’s have a little look in here, shall we? Just see what we can see. I just going to take it I’m going to stick it on normal mode. Just going to take it in here through here. Just having a little look just to see kind of what there is really. Yeah. So, this is kind of like what I I like doing really just fly my drones around. We’re just pixelating up badly. So, I’m just going to get a bit of elevation on it. Take it back towards my home point area. Yeah, you can see the hotel basically dead ahead. Uh, nice hotel actually. Five-star. Um, yeah, food is kind of okay. It’s a bit sy if I was honest. Um, there’s a whole mixture of different nationalities there, so I guess they got to try and cater for all people. Uh, which can be a bit of a a trial at times, I suppose. Um uh but nonetheless it’s uh it’s comfortable. Uh beautiful surroundings as you can see. The sea is lovely. It’s all inclusive. Just a nice place, you know, for me and the wife to go just to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary which is today and her 60th birthday which was yesterday. Um, yeah, it’s really good. You got to try and make most of your life, guys. Try and live every minute really the best way you can. Yeah. Right. Just kind of just hunting around for little gaps really just to kind of fly into. I don’t think I’ll see much in the way of any deer or anything like that around here. I think it’s pretty inhospitable for them. I’ I’d have thought so. Um, but you never know. There’s more in in no way of kind of reptiles and lizards and maybe the odd snake every now and again. I’m always on the lookout for lizards and snakes when I come to uh warmer clims, let’s say. Um, yeah. Okay. Yeah, it’s a bit of a mixture around here, isn’t there? Yeah. Okay. Right, take back towards the homepoint area. I think what I’m going to do, I think I might pack up here and walk a bit further up the ridge up this hill. Um, and I think behind me there might possibly be um a bit of forest going on, I think. So, might go and have a little look in there. Um, go and see what there is. Okay. Stop. Okay. So, I’ve I walked about maybe uh 3 or 400 meters up that hill. And um and I got myself on a little pathway actually uh which is kind of great really. It’s in the middle of nowhere. I really do love these places. All right, I’m getting the Neo. I’m going to set it off I think probably I think over in that direction which you can’t see at the moment when I when I press the press the button you will. Right, we got 20 21 satellites. That’s pretty pretty awesome. I’m going to follow this track uh down for a while. I don’t know where it goes to. Um I think we’re going to find we stick it on sports. A bit of a zip along there. We just see where this uh goes to. I think there’s a big radio masts which are uh over to my right hand side. So I’m just guessing that it probably goes over towards the radio masts. I’d have thought, but it’s always nice just to be a little bit inquisitive at times, isn’t it? Okay, let’s have a look. Sh. Yeah, there we go. I saw them from the road. Um, there we go. Okay. Yeah, just a bit nosy really. Just see what there is. Right. So, let’s have a bit of a a little dive around, shall we? Just slow it down. We’ll stick it on normal mode. Uh just going to do our normal thing really. Just um I’m just pixulating a bit. So I’m going to bring it back more towards my home point area and get the signal a bit stronger. Okay, that’s a bit better. Let’s have a little fly around here, shall we? Just to see there’s there might be something jumping around a yeti or something. I don’t know. Right. Is that the path I’m on? All right. I think I might be on this path somewhere. Yeah, it looks vague vaguely familiar. Let’s have a little look down here, shall we? Let’s weasel our way through just to see what there is. Okay, it looks rather busy, doesn’t it? I really got to take my time going places like this. Places where you wouldn’t normally go. You just never know what you might see. Anyway, yeah, I can’t really go bouncing through here, guys. As you can see, it’s rather busy, isn’t it? What’s that there? Oh, it’s a bit of wood, I think. A bit of wood. Okay. The great thing about the Neo, you can actually do things like this with it. Just go to places where you just wouldn’t normally go. It’s amazing little thing. Um I think I think the mini five has come out, isn’t it? Some friend was telling me or I’m justating up badly. This is not a great place to beulating, is it? No, not good at all. I’m going try and take it out if I can get a bit of a bit of height. Hopefully my signal will improve then. God, I thought places like Savac Forest were pretty bad. This place is on on steroids, isn’t it? Okay. Right. Getting blown badly by the wind. Yeah. Yeah, as soon as you get out the wood, you really are fair game for the uh for the elements there. And this thing, as you can see, it doesn’t really handle uh wind very well. So, it’s much better when you can actually get it back uh let’s say into um just lower levels and bit of shelter, which is what the um forest actually offers you. So, those who want to buy in Neo, just be aware that uh this thing isn’t great in the wind. Neither a flip, by the way. The minis do tend to handle the um the wind conditions really, really well to be fair. It’s a really good drone. The minis, the minis are great drones. um had a lot of fun with that. But obviously, you know, as um as you know, the technology kind of gets better, gets newer, they can do more things with it. And I got to say that, you know, the little Neo here is an amazing little machine. I really cannot fault it. We’re getting a high wind velocity warning. You can see the drone banking badly, you know, banking down to the left. I’m going to swing it around. It’s going to do something a bit strange probably. Uh, we take it down. I think I’m down here somewhere. There we go. Right, we’re just going to go past myself. We’re just going to see where this uh little track kind of leads to cuz I’m hoping it’s going to take me down to the main road. I’m pretty sure it does, but I don’t really want to be walking all the way down there to find that it doesn’t. I can let the drone do that for me. So, okay. So, I need to go down there and then basically turn right, don’t I? Okay. Right. We get a low battery warning. We’re going to bring it back now. And uh we’re going to land it. And I think that’s going to be my little flying for today. That’s just uh kind of um give me my fix of drone flying once again uh for another day. Right. Try and take it try and take it down if I can. Getting blown around. trying to I can’t can’t get it back.
