We Visit A School In The Slums Of Badami!

[Music] It’s Day three. Just woken up in the morning.
Opened the curtains and there’s monkeys all over the roof. What an amazing sight that
is. We are just doing a short ride into uh we’re in the town of Badami going to check out
the incredible temples which are carved into the walls of these cliff faces. It’s unbelievable.
And then we’re going to ride on through the countryside and head towards Hampi. So, it’s
going to be another full-on day. This cave was uh excavated for the god Vishnu. So,
we’re going to have a look inside. Bat**** Where did that go? Let’s
have a look. It stinks of urine. Have you got anything with a light on? Torch. I reckon. Gosh, that’s brilliant. The
carvings are so intricate, aren’t they? Yeah. Look at this floor.
It’s just like polished from hundreds   and hundreds of years of people walking over it.
Unbelievable. Yeah. And bat droppings everywhere. Monkeys everywhere. All over the
rock face. They’ve just absolutely   fearless. Can’t believe how well they
above. Wow. Look at that. Imagine living here. This is what you do. You sit in
here, put your fire on at night. Quite nice. Look out of that. Bloody hell. This is quite
a sight, isn’t it? Oh my god. Imagine what it was like before they built all the new town.
Oh, incredible. Extensive site. What a place. Look at this one. Got a
crack in the side there. Wow. Can’t get into that one. That one’s locked. It’s steep. Oh my god. I’m going to translate for you the uh
Hindi uh here. Uh basically the cave 3   we’re at now was created in 578 CE uh for the uh god Maha Vishnu. So I I’ve translated
all that for you. Clever! carvings. Oh, look. Looks like to me a lion’s
head. Yeah. Or maybe a tiger. I don’t know. Wow. Doubt there’d be a lion
here, would there? Got that smell   of urine again. Could be the monkeys,
you know. Could be. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Unbelievable. Isn’t that special? Cave 4. The smallest cave. Uh, unfinished.
Said it’s unfinished. Unfinished. Yeah. 7th century CE. Oh, there’s a lion seated on a
lion throne. So, how I mean, in those days, how would they know about lions? Because lions are
in Africa. Do they have lions here or must do? How would they know? Cuz they wouldn’t jump in
an airplane and go and find out, can you? What are you are you filming? What What
are you filming? Film. What for? What kind of film? Canala. Canala. Is it for like a
movie? A movie or an advert or movie? Movie. Oh, cool. Brilliant. Excellent. Nice to meet you. The film set. Don’t know what they’re
filming, but they’re filming something.   Some kind of movie perhaps. I don’t

Obviously, they’ve let us come in.   Yeah. Wow. But they’re just so welcoming,
aren’t they? They’re all interested. I mean, it’s almost like a lesson for them, isn’t it? that
proper multiplications how it used to be done. But you can’t read the uh the words. Hey, look. Long
division. Yeah, that’s the easy way. Now they got this ridiculous way at school when you learned at
school. I couldn’t. But in the UK, I could never   I never understood the UK. They taught me the real
way. These old ways work and that was it. So yeah, a lot to be learned from India. Back in
time was better than now. Hello again. Hi. Hello. Hello. Hello again. This is pretty. I
like this. Hello. I like these. They’re very nice. I like your stick. Okay. What is your name? James.
Your your name? Sanidi. Sanidi. Sanidi. Nice. I like your earrings. That’s pretty. What does this

My name’s Darcy. Darcy. Have a look. What’s your name? Darcy. What’s your name? Yeah. England.
England. Yeah. My name’s Darcy. Darcy. Country. England. Yeah. England. Darcy. Yeah. [Music]
Hello. This is nice. I like that. Very nice. Lovely children. Everyone’s so lovely here. [Music] Bye. Bye. [Applause] Bye. Bye. [Music] Where’d you learn that from? They don’t
teach you that at school, do they? Hindi. Oh, English. English. Hindu. Right. See
you later. Very nice tattoo. Thank you very much. Thank you. See you later. Bye. Bye bye.
Wow. What an experience. That is incredible. Hello. See you later. Thank you. So beautiful. Yes. It’s incredible. Hello. So
nice. Oh, lovely cow. A baby behind it. Love that. It’s gorgeous. Hello. [Music] Indian tractors are the most glorious
looking tractors in the world. Unbelievable. Look at this. [Music] Hello. We’re from England.
English. Kanada. Kanada. No. No. England. Sorry. Yeah. Go up here. Isn’t it incredible what they can carry
on their heads? Look at all of that. How the hell? How does that
stay there? That’s a good beard. [Music]   Excellent. Hello. I like your dress. Very nice. Now, we just stopped in this uh town
to get some chai and some bananas, and I accidentally tried to pay him
in uh Korean one cuz I still had it   in my wallet. Oh, sorry guys. I’m
driving in the middle of the video. Size A bit too small, I think. [Music] Yeah, they’re
too small. They’re going to be too small. Look. Uh, see. And my feet are huge. Too big. So,
don’t worry. Tends. Tendrlo. Yeah. Okay. Namaste. shop. There’s some lovely sweets here. Beautiful. We just stopped here for lunch. I’m not sure
where we are. Try and find out. Another busy town. Lots of motorbikes. Motorbikes everywhere,
aren’t there? More motorbikes in India. Well, from what we’ve seen and I’ve seen in my entire
life already. Darcy’s just doing some photographs with the Sony and we’re going to go and have
lunch in here. So, let’s go and have a look. [Music] Hello in here. Come here. [Music] Thank you. Amazing. This is going to be a lovely lunch. [Music] Try one. It’s alive. Yeah. These are like a green chili in butter. Not too hot.
Very tasty. This restaurant is known or the area known for this. Um I’m not sure what it is yet.
We’ll tell you in a minute when I eat it. [Music] Interesting that in England um
people don’t want you to take   their photographs. In India they
come and ask you to and they they come up to you selfies you know so they
love it don’t they? We’ve been in India now for about 6 days and I’m probably the
only white European who’s come to India. and got constipated. So yeah, I must be uh pretty
uh conditioned to spicy food. Eat it all the time. two pump. All right, I’ll keep you
up. Yeah, you have one more. [Music] [Music] Hello. Hello. Yeah. Hi. Hello. [Music] I can’t. [Music] Hello. [Music] [Music] Bye. Bye. Bye. [Music] That is brilliant. Oh my god. It’s lovely soil here, you know. It’s very um
it’s sandy, but it’s kind of coarse sand. It’s quite grippy. There’s a chap there, farmer.
He’s sewing. Well, it wouldn’t be seeds cuz there’s a crop there. He’s sewing uh or maybe a
seed or fertilizer by hand. Everything’s done by hand here. That’s what sustainable farming is,
isn’t it? Of course. Hey. Hello. Hello. Yeah. What’s your name? Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. [Music] Is that you? [Music] Incredible. Yeah. [Laughter] Very pretty. Hello. Amazing people. Aren’t they
nice? Daughter of the men. Okay. Hello. [Laughter] You’re so big, guy. You’re like, I don’t know. Aliens. Look at the British.
These girls are so beautiful. Hello. Who’s this? Hello, Mr. Sugarcane.
Amazing the what they have in their hair. [Music] Hello. Got it. [Music] [Music] Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello. You’re very cute. Hello. Hello. Hello. High five. High five. [Music] Yeah. I want I wanted to explain to you
this those people they are not like the   other people we we can find here in in South
India. They come from Rajasthan. Oh really? They are tigan. Oh wow. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
We don’t know. We don’t know why they are   here especially. Really? That’s a that’s a
mystery because of the lack of water. Uh, you know, yeah, I don’t know. Wow. Time in
I we really don’t know. Oh, amazing. Wow. Hello. Hello. [Music] What are your country, bro? England.
England. England. Yes. Members England.   What’s that? All members. Um, some
England, some uh France. France. Yeah. Hello. Hello. Hi. Nice to meet you. [Music] Let’s see. He’s so cute. Hello. [Music] Hello. I like your nails. Amazing. Hello. That’s a nice shirt.
Very nice. Hello. Hello. Hello. You come back again. Hello. Hello again. Hi. Good. How are you?
Hello. Nice to meet you. Hello. It’s okay. Scared. You are standing here. You
are standing. What’s that? You are standing there. Yes. You’re looking dead. Yes. Hi man.
Hello. Good. How are you? I’m fine. Good. From uh England. England. Yes. We going uh we’re going to Hampy. Hampy.
Yeah. Yeah. [Music] Bye. Hey, come here. No. You You want to rev it? No. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Oh, now I have no idea. Bye. Wow. This is
a a village full of people from Rajasthan. Not sure why they uh came here, but they
did. Um and there’s such lovely people. The children are just so friendly and
they’re so intrigued to see who you are, where you come from. It’s just it’s
lovely. It really is. This is more Hello. So sweet. I don’t know. We might be going the
wrong way now. Ridden off without us. [Music] Oh, brilliant. Oh, that was amazing. I think I’ve given about 50 high fives today.   Maybe even a hundred. That’s the
most I’ve given in my whole life. Oh, are we even going the right
way? Honestly, I don’t know. That looks deep. [Music] Oh my god. This is unbelievable. This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever
been to on a motorcycle, possibly ever. Wow. I wouldn’t come down here on an icy day. be very slippery. This is amazing. Oops. Sorry. Sorry. I
can’t control it when it’s so slow. Hey, it’s hard for me to control it
so slow. Yeah. I don’t have the weight to hold it legs or everything.
I know what you mean. One shot. Yeah. I’m Nata. I’m traveling with them
and I’ve been forced to wear this microphone and go here somewhere just
to introduce myself to you guys. So, here I am. I’m Nata. You can find me
on Instagram and YouTube as Nata on   the road. And we are all currently in
Hampi. And this is absolutely stunning. The guys are there with a group of bikes. All right. Riding back down this mountain now. It seems to me as well that um you can
go anywhere you like in India. There’s no   rules and regulations like we have in the UK,
but in the UK you got one one’s a foot path, one’s a bridal way, one’s a byway,
one’s a unclassified road. There’s so many different things and you can and
can’t do various things on them. Here, do what you like. Same with the road rules.
Basically, don’t crash and that’s it. Just ride, drive, be sensible. You know, we got so many
rules in the UK and the Western world that it’s stifling. And it makes it more apparent
when you come to somewhere like this. Oh, wow. Hello. Hello. Hi there. Oh, wow. Look at
this. Don’t touch exhaust pipe. Oh, come on, sweetheart. Okay.
Hello. Thank you. Namaste. [Music] Magical, magical, magical, magical moments
like that happening all day long. I mean, we can’t film everything cuz it’s
just endless, incredible moments. That is basically what this
tour is like. Lose the groups in just arrived at this resort which we’re staying
at for two nights. It’s absolutely divine. I mean it’s got these little uh sort of huts. Never
realized India had such extensive countryside because you always think it’s built up. But
they really do know how to farm sustainably, like I said in the ride. And
this is our house for the night. Look at that. Wow. So, we got two beds. This is
hot water switch. This is what you can answer. Okay. I’m coming.
Okay. Thank you. Wonderful. Thank you very much. Thank you very
much. So, let’s have a look in here. No, definitely. Okay. So, we have Oh, wow. Look
at that. Do you have like a semi-ircular room, wet room, shower there? Brilliant. Right. Dinner.

  1. Absolutely brilliant Darcy & James 🙌🏽
Definitely makes me want to go back ! especially the food James ! you made those deep fried chillies 🌶️ look so so yummy
    Safe travels 🙏🏽

  2. What's really important to recognise is that all those temples and old civilisation buildings weren't built by hammers and chisels. The invention of the powertool didn't happen until 1895 in Germany so we're told! The more you look and research, the more you realise that our history is complete lies
