Sometimes the best destinations are the ones you never planned to visit. This is a one-hour, immersive drive through a sudden, intense rainstorm near the Yamanami Highway. A wrong turn led me down an unfamiliar road, and I ended up at the entrance to the beautiful, misty Shidaka Lake campsite.

最高の目的地は、いつだって、計画の外にある。これは、やまなみハイウェイの近くで、突然の土砂降りに見舞われた、1時間のドライブ。道を間違え、見知らぬ道を進んだ先で、霧に包まれた、美しい志高湖のキャンプ場の入り口に、たどり着いた。
