Before we leave Cologne, we go to where the heart of the city beats – between Schildergasse, Hohe Straße, and the mighty cathedral. Here you can feel pure Cologne: the hustle and bustle, the voices, the view up to the cathedral that has accompanied us for decades. For us, this is more than a place – it’s home. And what better way to celebrate than with a potato pancake and a Kölsch at the Gaffel Brauhaus? [Music] [Music] We’ve arrived at the Gaffel – and now our selection: two “Schwesterherz” (sister heart) – red, sweet and sour drinks. [Music] [Music] It’s a shame we can’t film everything – this is our last potato pancake here. A Kölsch with it, please. Pure standard – that’s how we like it. The potato pancakes are from the Zimmer bakery. Classic: potato pancakes with apple sauce, beetroot syrup, or salmon. Enjoy them with laughter and enjoyment – ​​that’s the Cologne way of life. [Music] That was item 10 out of 10 on our Cologne to-do list. It’s great that you’re here. I haven’t been here in a while – but potato pancakes are always good. Maybe we’ll grill some ourselves soon or make them right in the van.
