Calanque d’En-Vau sits inside the Parc national des Calanques, a protected area south of Marseille, so please respect rules and local signage.

What you’ll see: panoramic belvédère viewpoints, steep limestone cliffs, a narrow turquoise cove, friends sharing beach time, and cliff jumping (always assess depth and safety before jumping). This edit focuses on the journey, the hike, the lookout, the descent, and the payoff.

Safety & rules: The Calanques are a protected national park; in high fire-risk periods access to some trails and roads is restricted and certain parking areas are closed. Respect the signs, pack out what you pack in, and avoid lighting fires. There are cliff-jumping spots here, but jumping carries risk, check water depth, watch for submerged rocks, and only jump where locals indicate it’s safe. For official trail maps, route closures and up-to-date alerts check the Parc National des Calanques website.
