Phantasialand – Theme Park Tour & Review

In today’s video, we’ll show you everything we did while spending two days at Fantasia Land, a theme park in Germany that I consider to be one of the best theme parks in the entire world. Stay tuned to find out why. Let’s start our tour of the park with the big rides and at Rrookberg, the park’s latest area that gives Diagon Alley entrance vibes here and how you kind of work your way over into the area with Fly, the giant Lacoma flying coaster. The ride just has so much dimension to it. You can see you’re coming in at ground level here, but suddenly there’s a whole down lower area where it goes around the buildings. And this ride is just a really good ride as well. I’m not generally a big flying coaster fan, but the launches, the turns, it’s smooth and it’s really enjoyable. The queue is an experience itself. Take note of that staircase on the right. We’ll get back to it in a second. The line is so long. It wraps around almost the entire ride, providing some really great views, and it’s a walkthrough attraction in itself with so many thematic elements. You go up, you go down, you go around the whole area. So much so you circle the entire ride and make it back to that staircase by the entrance where you now go down to ground level right along next to the ride before going underground to where the load station is for the ride. That’s where you find your more traditional switchbacks. There’s mandatory lockers. So speaking of mandatory lockers, no video to show on ride because you’re not allowed to take anything on the ride. Teran. Now, this is probably the most hyped, talked about coaster out there that I have not been on yet. So, super excited to check out this crazy ride. Last time I was here, they were just about to begin the construction of it. So, totally new scene for me. Got it. The lines at this park are like amaze. Like, is that a different ride? I don’t know. Where does this line go? This queue is just like in this valley of rock work underneath this mess track. The ride lived up to the hype. It’s a really, really good roller coaster. Now, I would probably not put it in my top five. It has a lot of elements. It has everything you want in a ride, but towards the end, it does slow down a little bit, a little bit more than I would have liked. But overall, such a great ride. The launches, the air time, it has everything. And the whole area is just so well themed. From the buildings around and through the ride to the area you walk into, this is a full immersive roller coaster. Like I something I’ve never seen. Something else also I haven’t seen is two roller coasters intertwined together. There’s a family boomerang that goes in or around Heron. Fantasy section. Definitely looks like a straight out of like a fairy tale. Inside this giant building is Windas. Two separate I think spinning coasters that do a couple uh interesting tricks. If you listen to our podcast in the podcast say Windows fear force you know there’s something called the Windows code and no one really wants to talk about special things they do cuz that would ruin the fun. A couple little interesting things they do. Go all the way around this building and then they kind of there’s some back areas they go through as well. Quite the uh elaborate queue. The ride’s essentially like a a expanded wild mouse. Starts off with kind of like a a bunch of S- curves like you’d expect from a wild mouse, but there’s also some sizable drops on the ride, too. Blackmamba is the park’s B&M different, and this ride is hard to film. What you’re seeing here is when I stuck the camera between the fences or while on the obstacle course. More on that in a minute, cuz the area is so well themed and it’s behind these fake buildings. And you just see it’s such a great themed area. Even the lift hill goes through this giant building. So the lift, you only see part of it. And and like every other coaster, the line for this thing is wacky. You start by going down a bunch of stairs that kind of takes you around the coaster in the ravines. Then you go up a bunch of stairs before kind of walking over the coaster and going back downstairs. You got to like stairs cuz then you go right back upstairs to cross over the coaster again past some nice waterfall features. You’re deep in it at this point before going down again. Like I said, up and down several times. Now you’re kind of at like ground level in the ravine before eventually heading inside to the underground station of the ride. Chopas was awesome. And I’m not a big water ride guy, but uh it went forward and went backward. There’s I think three or four lifts and drops throughout the thing. Um random theming. The theming was really good. This is probably like the closest, you know, closest you’ll get to like a Splash Mountain where it’s a log flume heavily themed with multiple drops. Um, so if you think Splash Mountain, think Chapa’s kind of similar thing. Uh, I think might do it a little bit better. Um, cuz the theming is just the whole area, not just the theme of the ride, but the whole area here, as you can tell, is just really well done. Colorado Adventure is the park’s mind train. And if you can tell by the train, locomotive on the front, it gives off very much Big Thunder Mountain vibes. Even the station, very big Thunder Mountain vibes. Only difference is they don’t tell you to hold on to your hats and glasses. But overall, a very similar kind of ride that you’d expect if you’ve been on Big Thunder Mountain. A very themed Chinatown section of the park. There is an Omni Mover ride that looks very similar to Haunted Mansion, but it’s nothing like Haunted Mansion. It’s more like Pirates of the Caribbean. Was not expecting that twist in the middle of the ride. Pretty neat dark ride. The other main dark ride is this Toy Story Mania clone. Yes, it uses the exact same ride cars and vehicles, and you shoot at screens. The difference is this one’s heavily themed, and while you go between the screens, there’s a lot of showings to look at. I’m not a big water ride guy, but everyone told me I had to ride River Quest. And I’m here to tell you, you need to ride River Quest. This is a massive ride, all kind of built on top of each other, which is something you don’t see normally with water rides. This is the entrance area, this big cathedral. Then, as you’re getting on the station here, you can see the multi-layers of this ride. You saw the lower level, there’s the upper level, and the it starts off with a vertical lift that takes you all the way up to the top there. Again, no filming on this ride, but there’s a whole rapid section up top before ending with this really neat drop. Mystery Castle, if you couldn’t tell, it’s not really much of a mystery because something that tall means one thing. It’s a drop tower. Can’t film on the ride, so you get this outside view of it. There is the Africa Adventure Trail. I know nothing about this besides it might give me good views of Black Lab. So, let’s head inside. Hello. Hello. Goes all around Blackmamba. Blackmamba goes all around it with some pretty cool uh visuals. You can walk right over Blackmamba. Like I said, right by Black All right, quick poll. Will I regret this? Let’s find out. Feel like I’m Indiana Jones right now. Oh, wow. Now, which way do I go? Oh, no. Gators. Everything’s very wet. But feel like there’s sensors or something to stop it. All the while, this is right under the B&M. They even have spots where you can walk feet over the track. Oh, dead end. It just keeps going. That was exhausting. From the park, there’s an old school funhouse. park has a lot of great food options. Here’s what we ate. Grabbed churros from the Mexico section because can never say good no to a good churro. Lot of great desserts right by the main entrance of the park, including this like chocolate mousse cake. Highly recommend. And then for lunch, we had lunch in the Africa section. And I got this really spicy chicken served with some naan bread. That was excellent. The theming is just so well done and easily blends multiple areas together, such as this is the Mexico area. very elaborately themed with a lot of details in place. Literally on the other side of this wall is Berlin. What we just saw was behind that wall there. It effortlessly blends areas together, such as the River Quest. You have this, you know, what looks like a, you know, brown building there. Well, that is actually to hide the roller coaster from a completely different area of the park so that way it doesn’t look like the roller coaster is out of place in the River Quest section. That wraps up our look at Fantasia Land. Like I said, one of my favorite theme parks because it really does a good job of blending great thrill rides with a lot of awesome theming. Kind of best of both worlds. Something you usually don’t see parks do both really well.

Phantasialand, a theme park in Germany, is one of the best themed theme parks in the world. It mixes great roller coasters, water rides and walkthroughs with incredible theming and food. The highlights include Taron, an Intamin launch roller coaster, FLY a Venom flying coaster, and Chiapas which is one of the word’s best water rides.

  1. Personally, I found FLY's restrains to be very uncomfortable. They pressed so hard against my chest, I was in pain for most of the ride. Except for inversions and air time. I blame it on my weight but this really didn't made me do FLY a second time during my stay in May.
I did visit Geisterrikscha at least eight times, though. My favourite ride in the park, as cheesy and outdated as it is. I connect it to many childhood memories.
