CRUISE NEWS! Flying to Barcelona for Star Princess 🚢 | Princess App Update & Travel Advisory

Today I’ve got a quick update for you. We flew from Salt Lake. Right now we are in Atlanta, Georgia, waiting to get on our flight to Barcelona. We need to talk about an update to the Princess app and what they’re doing with it. We’re going to talk about some demonstrations we’ve been warned about in Barcelona. And finally, uh, we need to talk about Dawn with Don’s family vacation. So, let’s go ahead and get started. [Music] Hi there. This is Allison with Let’s Go Travel Tips. Today is Thursday. Now, let’s start off talking about what’s going on with the Princess app. The Princess app has just released a new update. And you know how they always have those um like the list of what is included in an update for an app. It is all about the uh experience there at the Spellbound on the Sun Princess and the Star Princess, which is going to be sailing on Saturday. And so the differences that they are announcing with that is first of all they are going to offer more magic shows per night. You will get to have two signature cocktails as part of your admission fee there which I believe is still $45. And here’s the really big deal. Walk-ins are now welcome. You can make a reservation in the app or you can just walk in when you want. So clearly they are trying to turn this into more of a money maker. It’ll be interesting to see how much they um regulate how many people are in that experience at one time. if uh welcome welcome or welcome. So uh let us know what you see on the sun princess and I’ll tell you about the star princess starting on Saturday. Next up, let’s talk about Barcelona. If you have been following along for quite some time now, people who are residents of Barcelona, some of them have been complaining about how many tourists come to Barcelona for a very long time now. Of course, uh people have come as tourists to Barcelona. They’ve flown in and visited that area or they come on a cruise ship. The really big change has happened a lot. since because a lot of the residents there have started turning their apartments, their homes, their um whatever you know the their living situation into an Airbnb or a Verbbo somewhere that is a vacation rental. So now a lot more people are coming to visit. A lot more people are staying right in the city when they come and the locals don’t like how that’s impacting their experience there. Today the US consulate general issued a warning that there is a demonstration over in Plasta Catalunia which is a central area there of Barcelona. Uh I’ve been there uh like three times but I don’t uh need to go there every time I visit Barcelona whereas I do need to go to Sra Familia every time but I just wanted to let you know that that’s going on. Uh we are not worried about it at all. When we land uh it’ll be local time there in Barcelona on Friday at 9:20 in the morning. So, we’re going to get our luggage and get right into our hotel there. And uh we’re really excited. We’ve got tickets to see Sir Familia. And so, I’ll take you with us. All righty. I said that we need to talk about Don from Don Family Vacations. He has two channels, the Don’s Family Vacations and Just Don. And I um he has announced that his doctor has found more spots in his lungs and that is never a good sign. And so, a couple of things. First of all, um let’s not forget to keep Don in our prayers always. He needs our prayers and we really need him. And so Don, I want you to know that we’re thinking about you and we love you. And uh everyone remember to keep him in your prayers. The second thing that I thought was super exciting is in his video he said that he is heading off to Los Angeles to have meetings with Princess. Um my hat is off to you, Don. Good going. And uh if you need to know what I think, I could send you a list. But I have a feeling that we both think a lot of the same things with where Princess is going with things. And I’m really looking forward to hearing uh how your meetings go and what you’ve got to tell us about the whole thing. So uh know that we’re with you. Am I the only person that thinks it’s funny that Atlanta, Georgia headquarters go? They have Pepsi at the airport. I know. Just something to talk about, but thought I would. and tell me if you drink Coke products or Pepsi products or both. So, let me know what you think in the comments. So, this is a place here in the Atlanta airport that has a place where travelers can nap. It has traveler sweet. So, you just go in, you sign in, you go through the door back there and um yeah, pick a nap. You pay for it by the amount of time you want. Just wanted to let you know about that. Kind of broaden our horizons. kind of like the day use hotel situation, just a little bit different. They’ve got a little sign here. You can take a nap, you can have a shower, feed your baby, you can do your work, and they’ve got Wi-Fi. So, pretty slick. Minute suite. So, everyone, thanks so much for joining me today.
