PONANT – A Lifestyle Piece
Earlier this year, we were invited onboard Ponant’s Le Lapérouse for a 3 night sailing around the South of France. To clarify, yacht + South of France + luxury all-inclusive = the answer was yes 🛥
Fortunately, this was Ross’ 2nd time onboard Ponant, after exploring Belize & Honduras on an expedition in 2023. Le Lapérouse is one of their Explorer Yachts, so can be seen immersing themselves into destinations around the world. As for the wider fleet, you’ll find them voyaging from pole-to-pole, Canada to Central America, South America to the Caribbean, South Africa to the Indian Ocean, Asia to the Pacific Islands and more.
There’s small ship cruising and then there’s this. This particular vessel offers 92 suites, with a maximum of 184 guests and manages to pack a punch and deliver an exquisite onboard product. French fine-dining aplenty, premium drinks, a plunge pool, theatre, lounges & bars and even a marina platform for certain itineraries.
Depending on the itinerary you choose, there’s a good chance you’ll be busy exploring during the day; perhaps even on a zodiac amidst mangroves or ice landings, but if you need a little more activity, there’s a small gym onboard to help burn off a few extra calories and a sauna boasting a spectacular view to unwind at the end of the day.
