Exploring a Secret Scottish Beach and Graveyard!
So, we’re there. So, it’s up that way and then along that way a bit. So, I’m going to find our our pod that way. Yep. Nice. Can I see that? Yeah. Yes. This looks nice. There’s our house for the next couple of nights. A little sinks here. Nice fridge with some milk here. There’s a milk. Did you say Yeah, sachets of milk. So I guess be the bathroom. [Music] Here’s the bed. Yeah. I think this is a bed as well. It’s meant to be three bed, isn’t it? Yeah. So, I think this must be Look, you can film. Yeah. I mean, it’s fine as as a bed as it is. Oh, there’s a Z bed in it. Quite cool. We seen outside here and the hot tub. Cool. Well, we got unpacked. Hello there. But welcome to another video. You’re joining us in St. Cyrus, which is a place uh near Montro, if you know Montro, near Breen. It’s like east coast of Scotland. And we’re here for a couple of nights. Got a nice uh was it a shalley? What is it? It’s like a glamping pod type thing. And unfort we had planned there was a lovely pub in St. Cyrus and we had planned to get a bit of footage in there and have a couple of drinks, but unfortunately it’s closed for good. It just closed for good a few months ago. I think it was probably after I got booked here. So there’s no pub for us. But uh but there’s amazing beaches. There is an amazing beaches which you’ll see. So we’re just going to wander about and see the sights of St. Cyrus. on to the beach. loves the beach. There’s a lot of stuff on the beach that looks like volcanic rock. Looks like volcanic rock. If it’s not and you know what it is, if you leave it in the comments. She is going to be absolutely knackered by the time we get back. So yeah, there’s also meant to be there’s a pub that closed after we booked it. And there was also a little hut. Well, it was a little like snack van that was meant to come on Thursday through Monday and we could got a coffee and a sandwich and stuff, but just a couple of days ago they decided they’re not going to actually come on a Thursday. So, and that’s today is a Thursday, so we don’t have that luxury either. We got our sandwiches. Yeah, we got sandwiches and some juices and stuff. So, that’ll keep us going. You wouldn’t think this is Scotland, would it? It looks somewhere else in Europe. Nice and warm blue skies. Very stony bit. Seek again. It’s a very old graveyard. So, you can’t even hear. Let’s read the uh the notes about it. The Nether Kirkyard. See what this one is over here. It’s probably the newest. It’s kind of got the like the pink granite you see quite a lot. 1872. Sacred to the men. No, the men. Sacred to the memory. Wow, this is really old. This must be if this is a just overgrown now. Whatever it used to be. Obviously the bees and the wasps are loving it. May actually be like a wasp bike in there. Not get too close. and check out what’s in this dark. Pretty cool. Like walking around all those graveyards. Don’t know what this is. It’s even looks like it’s even got a chimney. They’re such a small chimney in the past fireplace. See, I don’t know what that is for because to have a chimney. I guess it’d have to have a fireplace and keep somebody warm. Unless it was a with a grave digger since it’s so remote. Check this one over here cuz I know Claire’s waiting. So, we’ll go and check this out and then we’ll go back. But let’s go. Cool. Check this out. And then we head back. What years have we got here? Again, this is looks like a gravestone falling over in there, but obviously something quite important to have fence around it. So erected in the memory of Rebecca Proffam Prophet who died 1865 that looks like age 71. That’s a good age. And her husband Hugh Rogers who died 68. I think it’s 1868. So just a few years after age 77. Yeah. Let’s get back. Well, that looks quite a new one over here. Let’s quickly check this one. 1942. Even that looks quite new, but it’s 1942. 1865. There is it. So, that’s probably one of the new the newer ones. 1942. Let’s get back. 1815. Another check this one before we go. George Bey 1823. Another one for George B. Must be an important person. Got like a fake tree in there. Looks like they’ve put up a It’s a solar panel. I have no idea what this house is. Looks like a borthy or something, but well protected one with a lock and all the windows are boarded up. See? I don’t know what that is. There’s a nest up there. We found some stairs and we’re hoping takes us to the top of this cliff. We’ll find out. I think I prefer a slope to stairs. It’s even over halfway up yet. Really good views. That’s that hot thing down at the bottom that’s all locked up. So, we’re getting there. Hopefully it’s just over the top there and not the top. Find a bench though seat. So, thank you for watching this probably very short video. Uh I think it’ll basically be the beach and our glamping pod. But I would highly recommend the beach. It’s beautiful. Yeah, the beach is amazing. especially if you are lucky enough to hit a day like this. Uh but yeah, please like the video if you enjoyed it and subscribe if you want to see where we end up next.
