Stranded in the Balkans!

Well, I am stranded in the Balkans. So, last 
video I ended it, I think, saying that I was uh my flight had been cancelled. It turns 
out there’s been a massive cyber attack on the UK airports and they’ve canceled all the 
flights. The next flight out is in a week’s time, but it sort of doesn’t work for me. So, 
I found a way to get home through Bosnia, but that means I think that’s 
Tuesday, but that means that uh I’ve got a lovely 12-hour journey through 
Montenegro into Soo. So, yes, join me on that trip across and I will see you eventually in 
Savvo, Bosnia. It’s going to be a long day. Super. [Applause] passage of course. Okay, I’ve made it to the bus station. Probably 
one of my least favorite places to go. Some of you hardcore travelers out there, you’d 
be used to it in South America and Asia, stuff like that. But I do not like traveling 
by the bus, and the bus stations are normally pretty dodgy and not great. But it’s pretty quiet 
in here. Let’s find the bus and go. Let’s go. [Music] Okay, we have stopped in Prisn I believe 
in the south of Kosovo because we have to transfer buses because it’s 
a different company taking us to Podgarita. So short time here onto the 
next one. I’ll see you in Podgarita. [ __ ] me. I mean, when it said bus, I assumed 
we’d be getting a coach, but check out this. Look. I thought we’d be getting the one on the 
right, but we got this bad boy on the left. Little green mini bus. I haven’t been in one 
of these since I was at school. Not looking forward to this. What? Four hours crammed in the 
back of this. Well, anyway, let’s do it. [Music] [Music] Can’t even see it. Okay. I don’t know if you can see me here. 
I’m under some blue light. But anyway, this has been a a bit of a shambolic journey. 
Apparently, uh it’s a one change on the booking, but since we’ve uh got on the bus, we’ve changed 
about four times. We’re in the middle of Albania. I have no idea where we are. But let’s hope we 
can make the connection in Podgarita for Sieo cuz we’ve only got 10 minutes to spare 
on the change. And uh at the moment, it’s not looking great whether we’re going 
to make this. So fingers crossed. But yeah, this has been shambolic to say the least. Peace. 
Okay, I have made it to Podcarita Montenegro. No sign of our bus though. We have I’ve got a 
ticket on my phone. It needs to be emailed and printed off because they need paper copies, 
but I’ve got no data. So yeah, we haven’t got much time and to get this sorted, but we’ll see 
how it goes. I just want to be tucked up in bed, man. This this bus traveling is not for me. 
But hey ho, you’ll see very shortly whether I make it on the bus or not. Not looking good, 
bro. Not looking good. Okay, good news. We made it onto the bus. Ready to go. I’ll see you in 
Bosnia. Peace with the print it off. Five quid and then charging us €2 to put the bag 
in the hole. You can even take it on. As you can see, it’s it’s chaos really. But 
everyone’s taking liberties now. At the moment, I’m just having to bend over and take it. It’s 
uh is what it is. I just want to get to Savo. But yeah, at least we made it. That’s the 
main thing. We made it. Savvo. I think it’s 6:00 in the morning. I’m shattered. I did 
not sleep one bit. That was horrendous. Oh, but we’re here. It’s freezing 
though. I’ve got shorts on. Got my dogs out and they’re turning into 
icicles. Let’s get somewhere warm and I’ll fill you in on the liberties that 
we’re taking on that journey. Crazy. Well, that took longer than expected. 
I think we got off the bus at 6:00 a.m. and we managed to get into the 
center at 20 8. Well over 2 hours. God. Well, at least we made it. But I think 
everyone on that trip was looking to take as many liberties as possible. On the first one 
into uh Montenegro, where we’re changing, we had a quick stopover and we’re running late as it 
was. The cheeky [ __ ] driving the the coach pulls up at some random bakery. in Albania. We haven’t 
even got over the the border yet. Pulls up in the bakery. Doesn’t let any of us out. Just him. Goes 
in, sorts himself out. Outrageous. And of course, we’ve got no I got no cash left cuz I’m leaving 
the country. Hit the uh hit the bus station up. I get charged for walking into the bus station. 
So, got to get a load of cash off of that, which is just an inconvenience. And then we go to get on 
the bus taking us to Bosnia and the guy refuses me on the bus and he’s like, “No, no, no. You can’t 
bring any bags on the bus. You have to put it underneath.” So, I go around, put it underneath, 
and then his his crony is there putting the bags underneath and he puts my bag underneath and then 
he demands money off me. I’m like, “What? I had a double take. I walked away and he was like, “Hey, 
money.” I looked at him. I was like, “What do you mean money?” Except for the bags. Cheeky [ __ ] 
I’d already paid 50 quid for the [ __ ] bus. Give him the money. He just pockets that [ __ ] 
Takes it. Keeps it for later. It’s probably for him and his pal for a beer money. But hey ho, 
what could I do? I needed to get somewhere. So, I just had to take it like a good 
boy and keep stewing. But hey ho, no complaints. We made it to Sievo. I’m going to 
find somewhere to sleep and I’ll see you tomorrow.
