3 Days in Cyprus | Family Road Trip & Best Hikes Across the Island
Hello. So we uh this time we arrived to already Cyprus. So let’s go and explore. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] We came to the place that is called Sessac Beach. Yeah, it’s pretty much in UK and it’s very very windy. Yeah. But what’s interesting about this uh piece of land is that it’s the United Kingdom. Yep. Not Cypress. Already mentioned it. So we are in the UK now. Yep. [Music] Our first uh night will spend in this room. Big bed and the small bed for Daniel. Basic room around 100 a night. And we have the C view. [Music] This is our hotel. Our room is over there. Mom, look at this worm. There is a uh beach over there. Uh and the pool over there. And we had a breakfast included as well. And don’t stop the video. Can you please look at this worm? Okay. What? Show the worm in the video. Look at this caterpillar. Not a No, not caterpillar. Because caterpillar is like a centipede or something. Okay. Has so much legs. Look under it. It has so much. I like watching this. All right. This is the second day of our trip and we went to mountains and the first stop on our way is Canavio uh reservoir. It’s a reservoir. Yeah, it’s a dam. It’s a dam. Yeah. So, we’ll just stop here for a few minutes and then go and then we’ll and we’ll go to the mountain. So, it’s a very short trail around ends here and there is no one uh here except for us. [Music] This is how our uh rental car looks like. It’s a Volkswagen Hollow. Uh we stopped here in the forest at the uh Cedars U uh hike. So, we’ll just do uh a little bit of walking and then we’ll go further. But looks very nice. I wasn’t expecting it to be uh this many uh trees cuz uh near the sea it’s very very dry but here it’s like a full forest [Music] Uh we are now at the Kikos Monastery. Uh it’s in the mountains. Nice place to just walk around and see. [Music] And now we arrived to our second hotel, Forest Park hotel it’s called. It’s in the mountains and it’s in the forest. There is a small one for Daniel. Big one for us. But the main thing is that it’s actually in the forest and we have quite a nice view from here. And the last for today is going to be Caledonia waterfall hike. Should take a few hours. Let’s see. [Music] Sometimes there is a little bit of swamp. Yeah. Otherwise, second time. Otherwise, swamp bits are hard. The hike is nice next to the river. Yep. Very nice except for the zombies. [Music] It’s a bit of uphill but not extreme. Right now it is very much uphill. Uh not too extreme though. Yeah. But it’s not totally only like there’s a bit there’s one place where it’s a bit down and then there’s most of the time it’s straight but there’s also like half of it that’s going up. And over there is the waterfall. I think it is. [Music] [Music] So, a strawberry tree a strawberry trees here exist. It exists. Yeah. And it’s like it looks like red. Yeah. And that’s a strawberry tree. Strawberry tree. And this is grease. You think that’s the end? Maybe. And we reached the end of this hike. There are cars over there. So, you can start the hike from this side as well. And it’s uh there’s nothing to stop here. I know. So one and a half hours, 3.3 km, and 367 m elevation. And now we are at what is it? 1 57 kilometers above sea level. So now we need to walk three and almost a half kilometers back cuz our car is uh at the parking there. So we can’t exit here. But it’s a it’s nice. It’s next to the river all the time uh amongst all this like greenery. It is it’s a nice hike. Very nice hike. If you’re with a kid, huh? If you’re with a kid. What? If if you’re with a kid, it’s not. If you’re with a kid, if you’re with a kid, it’s like sliding up. No, it’s not hard. It wasn’t hard for you. It wasn’t hard, but it’s like slightly harder than having no kid. Okay. Slightly hard, but I would say easy. Yeah, it’s easy. Even though I’m already sweating, but sweating buckets. Sweating buckets. Okay. I mean, sweating. So, we are all done with the track. It took 247 hours and almost 7 kilometers with overall 373 m elevation gain. Good one. Recommended. Oo, that’s scary. [Music] And we woke up just now. It’s very quiet. Quiet except the noise of nature. Noises of nature. Yeah, noises. I’m lost. Very nice. Heard singing. Still sleepy. Mhm. Yes. So in the halls, this hotel looks like uh the one from that movie where the guy goes crazy in the mountains and kills all his family. Quite old. But it is like old. Look at this. Yeah, but it’s a horror movie, bro. Yeah, it is. It’s a good one, though. And this elevator is very creepy. Yeah, it is. It’s like You feel the elevator’s going to crash down. [Music] Today is Sunday. Uh the last day of our um trip. Tomorrow we go back. Well, maybe we’ll stay for like a bit on Monday, but on Monday I’ll Monday we fly back. Yeah. Monday. So today we do the Atalanti trail. It’s 13 and 12 km. 13 and 12 km long trail, but it’s chilled and relaxed. Yeah, it’s still relaxed. There’s no elevation. It’s just no elevation. But if you park down then the then you’ll have to go up to get to the park up. So let’s go see. The hike is easy, but there are too many bugs. Yeah, Daniel. No, way too many bugs. Way too many bugs. We’re just flying all around these bugs. We already made it one kilometer because there’s no elevation. Yeah. [Music] We walked uh 12 and a half kilometers and uh two more left and we are walking for 3 and 1/2 hours now. 12 and a half. So 12 and a half means only one and a half kilometers left. Okay. And every few kilometers there is a bench like this. Yeah, maybe every three, maybe every four. So we are now done with the hike and 4 hours and almost 14 km. Yeah. And the elevation is 178 m. It’s only almost 40 km because we have to go down. That’ll be fun. And we are back to Laka. And this is rice street art hotel. So it’s like this. Breakfast included. Hotel is nice. And there is a nice balcony outside. That’s some views. And the sea is over there. Over there. Hello friends. Hello. [Music] We’re just walking along the central Lana canal. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music]
