Danish Heritage | Odense | Travel Vlog 4K

[Music] Right in the middle of Odense there is, this beautiful river which is surrounded
by Green area and you can enjoy the scenic Beauty around it by taking a
sailing tour [Music] you have two options, there are these red boats you can ride yourself
and there is the sailing uh boat tour. and the ticket for these are between 110
to 125 DKK and right in front of it there is this Nelle’s Cafe and we are
waiting in a line to find a good spot where we can enjoy this View and also
our coffee [Music] for a change we are starting our day with a cafe because our Airbnb did not
have coffee only chai latte or tea . But now Deepu has Danishified and he doesn’t start his day without a coffee so we are here. [Music] when it comes to Coffee, yes! it is true, I love coffee now
and this coffee is really
good right texture right….. coffeeness i mean yeah and it’s not sweet. so that is one thing with cappuccino uh
it is not good when it’s sweet so yes I like it [Music] this behind me is Hans Christian Andersen Museum, where you won’t know about him rather you will experience it as Hans
Christian answer what does it mean you will listen to his stories his fairy
tales in his voice in English German and danish of course the campus is designed by a famous
Japanese architect Kengo Kuma uh I guess I’m right about his name, yes. He also
designed the Olympic stadium in Japan and this campus is 5600 M square and has content from 12 artist all over the world [Music] [Music] for those poor people who don’t know
Hans Christian Andersen, let me tell you. He is famous Danish writer who you can consider as premchand of Denmark Shakespeare of children even these
comparisons are not in enough and fair because he’s so legendary he famously
wrote The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling and many more you must have
seen them in your childhood I hope so. I did and I can tell you one thing many
Asian people can die for him that’s true [Music] he was born in this house his family shared this house with another family so
they weren’t very rich but while growing up he took internship as a tailor then
he moved to Copenhagen to pursue acting there he got a job in theater
because of his voice but later on when his voice changed he got fired but the
director of that theater was very impressed by him so at some point he
mentions that hence I see you as poet and he took his advice it seems [Music] t his seahorse statue in front of Munke
Mo was also inspired from one of the, poems of Hans Christian Andersem
and the poet had High Hopes from these dramatic poems but they really did not
get that much interraction at that time and one of the artists made this
scripture here and it was placed here in 1939 in his honor. This is Cathedral of Odense and it
is named after king Canute who used to be very powerful king of Denmark he ruled in
1080 to 1086 and he also ruled England and Norway at that time. [Music] So the King was killed on 10th July
1086 by a peasant revolt and then around 1100 he was canonized because there were some mysterious things happening around his tomb and he was declared a saint. [Music] we are vegetarian and we are looking for
some Indian food can you recommend some sure well we have this big street food
market where I know there are two very good Indian um places I don’t know how
authentic it is though I I can’t really tell but I like it a lot um so they have
like 18 different uh food stalls and bars and it’s just a very creative place
where the workers get to like do a lot of creative freedom and they try to
upcycle a lot of stuff okay so it’s mostly you know um stuff that they
bought uh or found in the street and they made it kind of cool and Chic and
they used it in the in the for decoration you mean yeah for decoration
not for food and it’s like an old Warehouse so it’s very big place and you
can sit inside and outside so it’s just very nice is it open today yeah I think
until 22 tonight or something and then he started his own
company all his beers are excellent yeah yeah I I can I can taste that yeah
that’s good it’s a handcraft yeah [Music] for those poor people who don’t know hen
Christian let me tell you he is famous considered as as Shakespeare of children
