My first traditional #japanese #ryokan experience @Shimakan Shima #onsen #injapan #japan #japanlife
It’s been a while since I greeted you in this manner. Everyone, we are on our way to Shima Onsen to celebrate our very first wedding anniversary. My husband completely surprised me with this. beyond excited cuz we will visit Sega Zenan as well. It’s the breathtaking onset inspired Gibli or Jibli anime Spirited Away. Have you heard of Tao Yoda? Founded in Japan back in 1950. This global company is a leader in electronic components that power the gadgets and technology we use every day. And here’s something we can be proud of. Yuden also has a home in Labalu City, Cebu. Since 1988, the Cebu plant has been producing worldclass components connecting our island to the heart of cuttingedge technology worldwide. And over here is Shima River. This is known for its beautiful bluish green color, clear mountain stream appearance. And after a 3-hour drive, we finally arrived in Shima or Shimagawa. This is a beautiful escape surrounded by mountains, rivers, and fresh air. Now, we’re about to enter our Rioan Shimakan. This is a traditional Japanese in here in Shima. Oh, I cannot wait to see the cozy rooms and the hot springs or onen that make this place so special. All righty, let’s head inside and take a tour of our rian. This is my first time checking into the Japanese traditional inn cuz in the Philippines it’s always hotels and conominiums. Oh, this is the kind of setting I’ve only seen in anime. Oh, there’s food. Oh, that’s our key. Now, when you enter the Yokan, make sure to switch to the indoor sleepers, okay? Do not use the hallway sleeper inside the room. And please remember to um neatly place the hallway slippers at the entrance. So that little entryway in there that’s called genkan. It’s a small area where you leave your shoes, your outside slippers before stepping inside a Japanese house or area. So we got mini refrigerator and a little display cabinet on top. Inside we have TV, Wi-Fi safe box, and chabod. And inside that maroon container, there’s tea set. And look at the Japanese chair. I love that. Oh, I’ve been wanting to try sleeping in a futon like this since I’ve only seen them in anime. Above the futons is a massage chair and a heratu. You know that kind of table? It’s a low Japanese table with a recessed floor underneath. So you can sit comfortably with your legs stretched out just like sitting at a normal table. And here’s a toilet. And here’s a vanity area with a mirror and space to get ready. So my husband also booked a private onen. This is called mermaid onen.en. So it’s just the two of us. And I did not want to try a public onen. That would be way too awkward. You know, in Japan, people go completely naked when they take a dip. I tried a public onen. It’s always been a private onen. I told my husband I don’t want to see other people naked and I definitely don’t want them seeing me either. So awkward. So this is Be careful. This is super hot. Oh, I love it here. Oh, check this out. They even have an amusement area where you can play table tennis. Too bad they don’t have milk in here. It’s kind of a tradition to have a cold milk after an onen. And it’s so refreshing. Where does it say buning? Bonjing [Music] buning on right there. And here’s another onen right inside our yokan. It overlooks the river. And he’s so peaceful and relaxing. And you can even hear the birds chirping. I honestly feel like I could live here. I even told my husband that I want a house just like this with a nonsense, of course. eyeliner. So, I just took a shower and it’s time for me to dip into the onen. [Music] And that’s it. Thanks for watching. Please watch my next videos and don’t forget to hit subscribe. Bye. [Music]
