Medieval Rothenburg
Rothenburg – “The most German of German towns” for the Nazis; this idyllic, preserved medieval town was used as the quintessential German ‘Home Town’ tourist destination in Nazi propaganda – and Rothenburg served as the ideal setting for a German “Volksgemeinschaft” (racial community) under the Swastika. Nearly half of the old town was destroyed at the end of World War II, but Rothenburg was ‘saved’ from total obliteration. Visit our website for more details at: worldwar2tours.com

great place to visit…I loved the christmas shop, and they will mail your ornaments home for you!
I was born in Rothenburg and have been involved in the city’s history on a voluntary basis for many years. This video left a deep impression on me – the clarity with which destruction and reconstruction are shown, and the strength of the images, are outstanding. For me, it is one of the best presentations I have seen so far. Thank you for this work.
