Budget Travel helped me achieve my dream goal! #budgettravel #budgettrip #budgettips
Budget travel helped me achieve my dream goal. I knew that exploring the French Riviera was going to be the most expensive place during our year sister trip, but I was determined to visit my dream destination at the age of 22. So, we booked the cheapest flight from Lisbon, Portugal to Nice, France. We took EasyJet and the total price for two people was $187.92 for the 555 a.m. flight. For me, I do not like traveling in the morning cuz I find it very stressful, but that was the only cheapest option for that day. And I took as a sign from the universe because the angel number 555 is all about change, embracing new experiences, and getting out of your comfort zone. So yeah, waking up 2:00 a.m. in the morning and having less than an hour sleep was worth it. We arrived near 9:20 a.m. in the morning, and we had the whole day to explore the city and swim in the beautiful sea. Chasing dreams, whether it’s travel or life goal, usually comes with sacrifices, but the rewards are worth it. Booking cheap flights, staying on host allow my sister I to save a lot of money for experiences, which traveling is all about. So, if you have a place you always dreamed to travel, start saving, be wise with your money, and budget smart.
From this experience, I learned that traveling doesn’t have to be expensive. How you travel depends on your lifestyle and preferences. I went to Europe right after my college graduation. I didn’t have a job lined up but I had a personal goal I wanted to accomplish which was going to Europe (Spain, Portugal, and South of France) with my twin sister for two weeks.
I am grateful my parents paid for our round trip tickets as our graduation/birthday gift, but everything else I paid with my own money. This is my dream trip and I want to be responsible for it. I used up half of my savings and the money I earned in my part time job during senior year of college. Being very discipline with our money and planning months ahead helped us budget well.
I’m the type of person that spends less money on flights and accommodations. Taking cheap flights can be rough sometimes, but at least i’m saving money. I enjoy staying at hostels and meeting people all over the world and talking about our travel experiences. I love walking around and taking public transportation. I prioritize my money over experiences than comfort. That is my travel lifestyle.
I hope you find this video inspiring in some way.
