Walking Alexandria Egypt to the catacombs of Kom Al Shaqufa

Hey everybody, it’s day two of navigating Alexandria. I don’t have a boiler with me today, but I do have my GPS working. And we’re going to the catacombs of something. One of the seven wonders of the ancient the medieval world. The medieval world. It’s freaky. Freaky gender is ever going to walk down an alley that looks like this. But yet, that’s where my GPS led me. I met Abdullah in an alley just like this. made it. They’re like, “Oh, you can’t go that way. It’s not that way.” Yes, it was. You ask me. And I and I do know that was a major accomplishment. I am now at the catacombs of Kel Shaku. And um that was a lot of hoo-ha. It cost me 200 Egyptian pounds. We walked here. There’s a line for the tickets. I think we’re going to go down now. But that was a major accomplishment to get here and buy that as a solo traveler. Bye. [Music] I can’t shut off. Just a little bit creepy. Look here and define the dress here. So the sign of the standing is why if you don’t do the picture and her dressing it’s prominent. So it’s mixed up here [Music] Here we And the copian style of hair and if you look into the eyes, you’ll turn this So, I was down in the crypt and I started to pass out. I don’t know if there’s no air down there, but it’s crowded and hot and very humid and I started to pass out and I had to get out and eat something. It’s freaky being trapped in a crypt. Personally, I don’t think the air is very good in the catacomb. Lots of carbon monoxide. There’s a lot of people down there. And you can walk from the cruise ship. It It’s sketchy. You got to go down really creepy looking alleys. But I got here. something. [Music] Somehow I have wandered into what would be a Egyptian flea market street. And it is really hard not to buy cute little things. Look at this truck. See how fancy that was? Anyway, like cool lanterns and tea sets. Bunch of I kind of already have. I bet it’s like two cents. I am a spectacle. Got to go. Apparently, the GPS led me to like a place that I can’t get through. And now I’m all kinds of problems for everybody. You know, someone’s coming to get me. I don’t know what’s going on. But since my cruise ship doesn’t leave for another 6 hours, I’m just going with this uh detour. We’ll call it a detour. This is amusing. I’m going with the amusing. Not scared. Amusing. Don’t go down to flea market street. Bye. Man, all right. Um, let me just say that the police had to come. Okay, so I took the wrong turn, right? My GPS led me to I guess I put the wrong port in, right? So, okay, finally I’m at my ship, but the police came and then they got me a taxi and then the police followed the taxi cuz I’m like in this part of the port I’m not supposed to be in. And then it was this big deal. I got dropped off at that gate over there, that blue gate. And I was supposed to be at this walkway that’s behind the water. And Let me just say the Egyptian police were extremely helpful and friendly and I also had a really good humorous attitude about it. I think that helped the whole thing and I think that it was a little exciting for them. Honestly, I I I had a thrill. It’s kind of like dancing with fire. Same sort of feeling. I wouldn’t recommend it for the average person. Wow, that was that was different.

Grab your bravery and walk with me as we navigate typical Egyptian side streets on our way to one of the seven wonders of the medieval world, the catacombs of Kom Al Shaquf!
Live the adventure we experience as we attempt to make our way back to the port of Alexandria and our cruise ship 😂
