look at our cute window it goes out to the alleyway have you ever heard of the city of milatzo and Sicily well before I planned my trip to Sicily I hadn’t either I quickly found out that milatzo is a very important city in Sicily because it’s not only one of the ways to get to the aolan islands but it’s the fastest in this video I show you all around this cute Port Town including amazing and affordable hotel options and food options you need to know about before you’re taking the ferry over to the aolan island from milazo and if the aolan islands are on your bucket list they absolutely should be let’s check out this cute Port [Music] City in my last video I showed you around the little Hilltop town of savoka and this is where they film part of The Godfather movie and so it was super cool to come here the main thing to do here is to sit at the bar that they featured in the movie there’s cute photos and prompts you can check out so if you’re interested in that please check the video above in the link all right just to recap we are on a sicilian road trip and one day we drove from Katana to Torina after the boat ride into toormina we went to savoka which took about 40 minutes driving then we drove up through MSA to milazo which took another hour driving because we were staying here for one night the next morning we were going to hop on a ferry to the aolan islands and this was a full day trip but it was totally worth it because this is where you catch the fairy to the aolan islands [Music] we just got to the city of milatoo because we’re going to be taking a ferry tomorrow to the islands and this is a really cute town I kind of wish we’d stay here longer they everything is right on the water and there’s all these cafes and bars everywhere our hotel is right across the way from the water so I’m excited to see what they have here while we wait for the fairy tomorrow yes we rent to their car in Sicily I feel like their public transportation isn’t as well done as the rest of Italy we did take a bus for part of our trip from palmo to Kad totally easy totally fine but the car rental cost us $490 USD for 10 days of renting it and we picked it up in kadana and dropped it off in in this trip we were able to find free parking on the street but if you are renting a car please make sure that you know where to park because I have gotten tickets before because we only were staying here for one night but we are five people I needed an affordable hotel that was close enough to the port so this hotel was $180 USD for two different rooms and it was walking distance to the P air conditioned and beautiful wow it’s beautiful VI I know and here is a tour of the room for two people which was more like a little apartment okay I’m in the apartment oh the the room up oh and uh you have only water in thei okay okay okay oh my God how [Music] cute it was obviously way more than we needed just for one night of stay but this is exactly what I wanted my first priority was finding something super close to the port so we could leave our car there for a couple nights and then price for two different rooms and I wanted something with air conditioning remember not all rooms in Italy come with air conditioning look at our cute window it goes out to the alleyway so cute one more thing about this hotel we had a hard time finding it because there was no sign I had to call them and they helped us get in and there’s free breakfast and this is what the town of milatoo looks like it is a really cute prominade area and there’s a very long street that lines the water because it’s a port town and all the shops and restaurants are located right here if you are planning to go to Sicily soon and you need help planning your itinerary I have created a that please check out the link Down Below in the description back to matazo look how cute this place is being here for Sunset was so nice everyone was out all the locals were out walking around sitting at benches talking to each other Banning themselves because it was super hot and sisly at this time but it was really nice to see everyone here and there’s obviously boats and fishermen so I really enjoyed the whole environment here the crws on for a super long time and as you can see there’s lots of restaurants there’s nicer restaurants seafood restaurants But ultimately we wanted to go back to where our hotel was because in the alleyway of our hotel we saw a really cute restaurant being set up and as I looked down I was like hey there’s something down there let’s go check it out they were not open when we started our walk but as we walked back we realized that they were open for business and we were one of their first customers I highly recommend going here if you find yourself in milatoo because this restaurant was amazing and it had the best pizza [Music] oh my goodness this was honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had so if you’re in milatzo definitely come to bansa a Pensa because it is absolutely worth it and FYI our favorite beer here is Masina which is the local beer around sicy we like the one with the salt in it and we had a great time here obviously it was
