Is This Germany’s Biggest Attraction?

[Music] opened in 1901 this is the wer tal s bom or in English a suspended mono rail as you can see they have their own logo and especially this station L it’s a very classic station look at this design that’s amazing so the wer fa B is also the main public transportation here in wer it runs across the city wer which is right here and goes like uh back and forth like 20 minutes from end to end very fast but quite a distance besides being the main public transport station in WTO it’s also a tourist attraction so join me as we write the [Music] [Music] [Music] the point where it’s uh driving above the streets is extra cool it gives a bigger Dimension to the speed and to the urban culture of VTO so that was good fun riding the sa up and down now we’re back at the Hof looking for something to eat and explore the city of WTO a bit further course I suppose there’s more to WTO than just the sa B let’s find out after eating the uh obligatory uh broad wost it’s always delicious with some good fries we venture on walking through the streets of wer seeing what we can find just casually looking around have some things in mind but let’s see if that works out interesting those steps have all kind of things L BR zor for and all kind of colors if you know what all that mean leave a comment expected a bit more of those steps but yeah interesting nonetheless Utopia starts hooks under construction but let’s see looks a bit like a refurbished hipster area do we still use that W in 2025 hipster cool looks like a coffee place I can do with some coffee at the moment it’s still caught in Europe crazy call hello you’re joining [Music] time uh can I have a double espresso please great stuff to drink here or to take with you uh take with me [Music] [Music] please and want them back of those please that’s all that’s all that is 1260 thank you very much yes please there is one deposit on the cup oh okay thank you we about to close so I I leave it on and you can bring it back day yeah thank you all right thank you very much thank you have a nice day thank you bye Double Espresso secured let’s F further nice and strong F music [Music] walking on top of a refurbished train trucks it’s now been converted into a bicycle lane a pedestrian Zone you can see people running biking around and also what still frustrates me you can use one of those steps here in Germany in the Netherlands still cannot use those commanders government make it legal there’s a fo on red carpet over here let’s F the red carpet ah not just a red carpet it’s like a climbing wall that is pretty cool let’s give this a try h for [Music] all right after the little climbing adventure let’s go see where the tunnel leads us always exciting to go through a tunnel and mind you this is still on the train tracks so it was an original train tunnel how cool is that cool that they switch it off with the blue light give it a bit of a uh more cozy atmosphere instead of just a light light I’m now standing on one of the platforms of one of the stations which used to be a alongside this real tracks here you can see the difference in elevation a old waiting [Music] room and I guess this used to be an exit to the station or to the streets which is now closed off now leads into someone’s back [Music] Garden ah it’s probably uh used to be WTO oer so along those train tracks there’s a bridge called the Lego buer let’s check it out looks like there you have have it the Lego Bridge very funny so it’s actually called the Nord Bond stasa it’s a whole refurbished railway tracks where you can see all kind of things like here we just went to the Lego Brooker STW Stein vict it looks actually pretty cool the wer fell the viaduct um so many things to see oh there’s also another one re looks like the same like the Lego bua anyways where are we and let’s continue who made this that is kind of cool look at the ad do Superstar full with flowers that’s one crazy Garden I guess that was the WTO law station and you can see here the station building [Music] that’s a very red house nice color and we coming up to another uh to another uh tunnel this one is very small another tunnel and behind when we exit the tunnel there should be another Viaduct called the balus VOD duct [Music] [Music] I think we walked quite a substantial part of the former real tracks and maybe we going to look for some other things maybe we’ll end the video here or Shish I mean it’s already getting to 6 p.m so let’s see what else is up here [Music] so I showed you we’re walking on top of the viaduct we’re now going to go downstairs and show the actual vodu because I think that’s more interesting to see a lot of pastel colors to uh lighten up a otherwise Grim neighborhood I mean what is this is this a door that is the door what happened here crazy I think that’s what the door supposed to look like maybe could run by a car or [Music] something and there you have it the viaduct from underneath with the typical red brick very cool I’m a sucker for this kind of construction and this kind of builds quality they back in the day they did back in the [Music] day in good fashion we end the video here here at one of the most beautiful stations V brooka at least most beautiful station in my opinion it’s a very classical look with the white and the black it’s like a work if you know what that means you can look it up uh well thank you for watching please do come to wer to check out this favor B there’s more to uh wer than just a sa bound but this is really one of the main attractions here so thank you for watching and see you guys in the next one bye-bye [Music] [Music] n [Music] n [Music]

Ever wanted to ride a train that hangs from the ceiling? I traveled to the city of Wuppertal, Germany, to experience its world-famous suspended monorail, the Schwebebahn!

This isn’t just a form of public transit; it’s a piece of engineering history and one of the most unique ways to see a city. Join me as I hop aboard and get a truly one-of-a-kind perspective, gliding above the Wupper River and through the heart of the city.

After the ride of a lifetime, I’ll take you on a chilly walk through Wuppertal’s charming streets, where a double espresso was just the thing to warm me up.
