French Riviera | Summer Vacation in Nice, Monaco, Menton & Eze

Highlights from my holiday in French Riviera (Cote D’Azur). We stayed in Nice and Menton and also visited Monaco, Eze, Saint Tropez and Le Lavandou.

In #Nice I spent my time exploring the town, going for walks along the famous promanade along the beach called Promenade des Angelais. And enjoyed the views from the lookout on top of the Castle hill. Loved the old town here, where you will also find a very lively street market. I also loved the area around the Port of Nice (the marina).

#Menton is possibly the prettiest town along Cote D’Azur in French Riviera. It is right by the Italian border and is absolutely gorgeous. Pretty beach, amazing landscape and those colourful buildings! Another marina and old town with the Basilica of Saint Michael right at the centre. One of hte highlights here has to be the yellow staircase entry into the old town called Les Encaliers. So pretty and what amazing views from the top! While here, we stayed in a stunning apartment on top of the hill, called Les Orangers Charmant Studio. Super charming and such amazing views from here. Perfect place to stay.

Also we visited #Monaco. We were there during the week leading up to the F1 grand prix, so I enjoyed car and driver spotting. Checked out the Casino square and also the historic part of Monaco where you’ll find the La Rocher lookout, where it’s much more relaxed and perfect place to take in the views.

Another day we visited the village of #Eze. Another stunning little, historic town on top of the hills between Nice and Monaco. Stunning, old French village that has this amazing cactus garden on the very top, called Le Jardin Exotique. The garden and the views of the Cote D’Azur from here are stunning. Even better than in Villefranche-sur-Mer.

And along the way we found some cute cafes like Mamma Roma in Nice, Mama Mia in Le Lavandou, and the famous Cafe de Paris in Monte Carlo.
