European Christmas Markets | Part 2 | Amsterdam to Heidelberg #travel #christmas

[Music] All right. So, I’m at the train station. I went to the ticket office. They showed me what I needed to do, which was in my power all along. Um, so I just got to scan my ticket and uh all that, but I just wanted to show that the Amsterdam train uh train station has definitely grown up over the years. It’s definitely gotten bigger. And there’s an indoor mall where you can shop, relax, wait until your train. And I love this view out the back, which I showed when I first got here. But all right, here we are going to get our train. This is This one’s ours. We got to wait about 20 minutes for our train shows up. So this the Amsterdam train party which is cool. [Music] Okay everybody who made it on the train. Um there’s no assigned seating. So, but everybody’s getting settled. Leave in about 4 minutes. So, I’ll show you a little bit of the countryside on the way, but it’s kind of an overcast gray day, so I’m not sure how well it’ll come out, but I’ll still show it to you. Um overall, had a great trip in Amsterdam, and uh can’t wait to come back again in the future um and bring Fiona. So can’t wait to uh enjoy the next step to this journey as well. So All right, folks. We made it to Frankfurt. We got about 45 minutes to kill here and then take the train to Hidleberg. So, I’m going to just walk around station and check it out. This is how I’m going to kill time. So, about 20 minutes everybody. So, good morning. Um, good morning from H Highleberg. So, we are in H Highleberg right now in Germany. And we’re only here for a few more hours and then we need to catch a train to Strawburg. Uh, and then we’ll be staying there for a night or two. But just going to show you around H Highleberg as as much as I can. Like I said, we only have a few hours, but we’ll see what we can see. I’ll take you along. We are walking to the Christmas market here in H Highleberg. It is very beautiful and festive. The the city is all decorated out for the holiday. Let me show you a little bit where we’re walking. Got some just some booths with mugs, all sorts of stuff. Usually would collect some mugs, but just don’t have the spaces here. jewelry and sort of stuff. Pretty cool. I don’t think we’ve hit the main part of the market yet, so I’ll show you that when we get there. [Music] All right, everybody. We’ve had our first H Highleberg gluten bine. See how it goes. Cheers. Cheers. That’s good. Hot and delicious. Highly recommend. And comes with a cool mug. [Music] You see it in my competition. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Please [Music] heat. Sorry. [Music] [Music] It’s really cool. Is this the blue or the bridge? Look at this thing. See, there’s the lock key. Wow. It was okay. I need to get very [Music] Cheers. Cheers. [Music] That’s tasty. All right, everybody. after a delicious meal. Um, we are going to head back, grab our bags, and head to the train. So, um, had a wonderful time here in H Highleberg. Too short. Wish it was longer. Um, but had a wonderful tour guide while I was here. Thanks, Ben. And we’re going to venture off to the next destination. I can’t wait for you to join us. Stay tuned. All right, everybody. We made it back to the train station. Uh I say back because this is where I was last night. We’re just waiting on our train to show up and uh we’re going to be headed to Strawburg. Uh but we have two two stops, two changeovers on the way over. So see how it goes. All right, we on we’re on our last changeover. Change over to a different train here. And it should only be about 20 20 more minutes and we’ll make it to our destination. It’s about uh 5 till 5:00 p.m. So 4:55. So far the the legs haven’t been too bad. So just a little bit full, but other than that, so far so good.

  2. I loved going to the Christmas markets. My mom took us every year. We watched the glass blowers make our Christmas ornaments every year. My mother saved them and when we moved out we had amazing ornaments for our tree. Loved the hot apple cider and at 16 we got to drink the hot gluwein. Still drinking it at Christmas to this day. We have some while lighting the candles on the tree and singing German Christmas songs. Then we put them out and turn on the Christmas lights. So much fun.😊
