Move to France to Learn French: Skip the Degree, Start Your Journey!

Hi guys, welcome to this video. I can tell I’m very happy. So basically, I’ve been off YouTube for a while, about 9 days. And the reason why this is the case is because there’ve been a lot of activities at my school, right? Um going for classes, I had an exam. I’ve had tests, projects, reports, and all of that. So, it’s been a lot to add YouTube on top. But despite my absence for 9 days, I’ve noticed that my YouTube channel is growing. We’re halfway to 1,000 subscribers. I have two videos that above 1,000 views and there’s a lot of engagement comments and things I can answer. People have booked calls. So, I’ve been able to help people on a one onetoone basis with their questions. If you want schools to apply to, you have to book a call for that information. But I’ve been able to help one or two people with that. And I just want to say thank you to every single person. So, why am I making this video? Basically, I’m making this video to share a new opportunity that I heard about recently. Basically, before I came to France, I did not really know that you could come to France to study French. So, I decided to learn French in Nigeria before I came to France. But I met a bunch of Nigerians that came to France to do Fle means longer. What it basically means is that you’re coming to France to study French for one year. is the same student visa you get but you do not get the same what’s the word you don’t get the same benefit as somebody coming to do a mast’s might get what do I mean if you’re coming to do a masters and you do two years of masters you can extend your visa for another year to look for a job and as other student like you have access to cru for example so that’s all student benefits that you might not get with the f but you get like 90% of them so you get a normal student visa the visa you can travel to other European countries if you want right so there are a lot of benefits to it but at the same time. Just know that it’s going to be for one year. So, you’re coming to France to learn French for a year. Another disadvantage with the FL is that is a little bit more pricey than a normal master. So, a master’s degree usually starts from €254 per year. But from my research, the cheapest FL program I found was €1,200 per semester, not per year, per semester. What this means that you’ll be paying €2,400 for a year. And that was the cheapest one I found. Right. There also like registration fees. The self space CVC the C CVC which is €103. So it’s a bit more pricey. But again, if you’re on the younger side and if you want more opportunities in the beautiful city of in the beautiful country of of France, you might consider coming to learn French first. You’re probably applying for a masters or a bachelor’s later. Like I’ve like the program I believe is so good at. I’ve seen master students take a gap in their masters program to go and learn French because it’s a French country. So like without French the opportunities are limited to you. So this is one program that I feel like if you’re interested you should look into how do you apply? So basically you still have to apply with the same process with applying for your masters. You go to campus France you type or the university you want to go to and you can see a bunch of them. If Fle is not working, type D U E F diplom. [Music] I think that’s what it means. D U E F. Well, just type the name of the university and type D U E F and you’ll be able to find information about their French language program. Most universities have this FL programs. So for instance, you can type university D UF and you’ll be able to see information or university and you’ll be able to see the information. So most schools have this and if you’re interested in learning French for a year if you can fund this the program again you pay per semester. So just budget about €1,200 to about I think the highest I saw was €1,800 per semester not per year per semester. So that can be really helpful. There is one thing that I wish that if I do not say I’ll be doing you a disservice, it might be a bit more difficult than coming for a masters in terms of getting a visa. The reason why this is the case is because there are a lot of places in Nigeria you can go and learn French. There’s two f in Abuja there’s also alsin in port. So why are you leaving the country to come to France to study? Meanwhile, we notice that you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, for example. So, you’re leaving accountants, come and study French for a year. Is not making sense. But that is where you have to explain. Do you understand? You genuinely have to explain that you want to learn French. That’s all you have to do. And you cross your fingers and you get your visa. You come here, study for one year, learn, get your French um exams. You can do the TCF if you want. Maybe you want to move to Canada later be at the express entry or you want to enter the um educational system here do your bachelors do your masters all that is possible but you have to learn French for a year another advice I’ll give you is if this is the case you can apply for the program get an admission but at the same time you should be learning French from Nigeria I would advise best case scenario do your A1 and do your A2 once you do your A1 and A2 exams it will be easy to justify why you want to move to France to continue your French study. But if you have not studied French at all, it does not make sense. Does that I hope you understand. It really does not make sense. So what I would advise is apply for the FL programs. As I said, get an admission. Then while that whole process is going on, you can then start learning um French. Do your A1 del exam and do your A2 DEL exam. Then at that point, you’ll be able to justify why you’re moving to France for the sole purpose of learning French for a year. So, this is all the information I have for you today. As you can tell, I’m rushing to quickly make this video. And if this is something you can do, good luck to you. If it’s something you cannot do and you still want to go through the whole massage route, good luck to you. Thank you for watching this video. See you on the next one. Heat. Heat. [Music]
