Nestled in the heart of Fethiye, Paspatur Çarşısı (Old Town) is a lively maze of cobbled alleys.
Behind me is the entrance to the old town here in Fetier. And if you walk through there, you’re going to see a lot of uh old stuff, but also a lot of stuff made in China. It’s it’s very touristic, but I’ll I’ll show it to you anyways. [Music] Okay. Well, there you had it. That was the old town. definitely has a lot of touristic feel. They definitely cater to the tourists, not just uh western tourists, but also a lot of Russian tourists as well. You’ll find a lot of knockoff goods, a little higher prices, and things sometimes are in Turkish LRA, some things are priced in Euro. Whatever it is, if you’re looking for it, you might find it in there. And that may be exactly what you’re looking for. But if you’re in town, check it out anyways, just so you get a way to compare.
Nestled in the heart of Fethiye, Paspatur Çarşısı (Old Town) is a lively maze of cobbled alleys filled with souvenir shops, leather goods, Turkish carpets, spices, and jewelry. Its vibrant atmosphere and friendly shopkeepers make it a favorite stop for tourists exploring southern Türkiye. While charming, Paspatur’s focus on tourism offers a useful contrast to more authentic, non-touristic markets elsewhere in Türkiye, where daily life unfolds beyond the souvenirs.
