Karlsruhe is a city in southwest Germany, designed in the 18th century with a unique fan-shaped layout centered on its palace. This walk begins at Schlossplatz, heading straight toward Karlsruhe Palace, then turning left into Schlossbezirk, where the Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht) stands. Built in a restrained brutalist-modernist style, the court building was a bold architectural choice next to the cityโs baroque palace. The route follows a gentle curve back to Groรherzog-Karl-Friedrich-Denkmal, the monument honoring Karlsruheโs founder.

Karlsruhe used to be twinned with our home town, Nottingham. Our last visit was for the Christmas Market two years ago. A bit noisier then and it was a wet few days. Even so we wandered around the park around the lovely palace. Enjoyable place to walk. Best wishes from the UK.
