Welcome to Zadat, Croatia, the city that literally sings to you. It’s a stunning coastal town. We started by strolling through the cobblestone streets filled with tourist shops, handmade jewelry, and of course, plenty of gelato. When we got to the water, we started at the Greetings of the Sun or the Sun Salutation, a solar powered light installation that soaks up the sun by day and glows in brilliant patterns by night. Then we made our way to Sadd’s most famous feature, the sea organ. We walk down the marble steps where the waves push air through underwater pipes, creating beautiful music completely powered by the sea. I don’t know why every beach doesn’t have this. Just take a listen. [Music] [Music] After more tourist shopping and another round of gelato, because why not, we enjoyed live street performers and music echoing through the old town. It truly is a city with beautiful sounds everywhere. Zar is a very small town, but it’s filled with so much history and beautiful architecture. Before leaving, we had to grab a borc, a flaky pastry filled with meat, cheese, or spinach beloved across the Balcons. We ended our day by visiting the Five Wells Square built in the 16th century to help Zidar survive sieges by storing fresh water. Zidat is more than just a small town in Croatia. It truly is an experience.
