🌸 SPRING BREAK 2024 — Milan, Florence, Venice, London, Nice & Monaco 🌍✨

Good morning. So, you’re probably like, “Alex, where are you?” Alex, where did you go? Alex, you’re always somewhere different. Like, I’ve been hearing over the phone from everyone I’ve ever talked to back in the States. Um, just kidding. They know they do it out of love. Um, but today we woke up in Milan and right now I’m on my way to the Duo de Milano. Um, and we’re only here for the next What is that? Only here for the next 6 hours. Then I got to make my way back to my hostel, pick up my luggage, and then we’re making our way to our next destination on the five that we are going to this spring break. So, I hope you guys are going to enjoy this very long spring break video cuz I don’t think I’m breaking it into two parts. Or I might. You’ll you’ll see by the title if I break it into two parts, but I doubt I am. I think I’m going to make it just one long video. I’m going to make it just one long video. And yeah, I’m slowly editing through I’m slowly editing through the previous weekend trips, the two other previous weekend trips that I have done thus far. Um, I just I just got through Brussels on the bus ride here. They’re the longest bus ride, might I add. It was so long and so so tiresome. Um, and it was like a whole like 20 to 30 minutes late. Um, I didn’t get here till like 110, like 1:15. I was supposed to get here 12:45 and then from there I still had to make it back to my hostel. Got back at the hostel at like 2:00. So yeah, it was um sorry it was um very very tiresome. But right now, like I said, we’re making our way to the DMO. I have a free walking tour um at 10:00. So I want to make it to the DMO by like 9:00. Um and then do the walking tour cuz the walking tour hits up I want to say about like 90% of the stops I want to make. And then the walking tour is about two hours. And then after the two hour walking tour is done, um I wander around and then just make sure I’m back here to make sure I make it to my train on time to the Yeah. I was supposed to say that. I’m going to bloop that. Back back to the hostel to go to our next destination. So yeah. Um I’ll check in with you guys later. So right now I’m inside the dual. This is an incredible church. It’s unreal. It’s beautiful. Just take a look. They’re currently doing some work on the church. I’m going to stop recording. I don’t want to record too much, especially since I’m having a new church. Be respectful. So, um, I got a student ticket. It comes with the cathedral, the museum, and then something else, but I’m not sure. We’re going to figure it out, but I decided not to go up to the terrace. So, yeah, I’ll take you guys when I’m on the walking tour. So, I’m out of the church. Um, there used to be a lot of work being done, but it was really beautiful in there. I’ll show you the outside from the side. My ticket includes the museum, but my walking tour starts at 10:00, so I don’t think I’m going to be able to do the museum unless I come back, of course. Um, but this is a This is really cool. This is a official timekeeper for the 2026 Winter Olympics. It’s like huge and it’s like snowing or like acting as snow, but I think it’s paper. It looks really cool. Yeah. Right now it’s currently I want to say it’s currently about like 9:50. No, it’s 9:47. Um I’m supposed to have my walking tour meet up in front of the Doma. So, um just waiting. I have about 10 minutes to kill or so. Um but the next stop I think will be over there where the ark is supposed to be the mall where you go in. You spin three times on your right heel like over the bowl. So, I’m excited to do that, but I think my walking tour is going to take me there. So, I’m not going to go there right now. But yeah, I am liking the lawn so far. It’s really cloudy today and it’s cold, but it’s also 9:00 a.m., so can’t expect it to be super duper warm, but the background is super cool. I’m currently just walking over here for some away from the wind. Yeah, these buildings are like structurally really cool. They have like such intricacy to them. You don’t really normally see in the States. Be okay to to do that again. Guys, I I Okay, this is fine. This is fine. Can you Can you all hear me? Okay, guys. This is one of the oldest Christian churches in the world. It dates back to the 4th century AD at the time when Milan was one of the capitals of the Roman Empire. Literally one of the capitals plural because there was a time very long ago when the Roman Empire had more than just one capital. Time for some bits of Roman history. In 286 AD, Emperor Dishian made a decision well of some consequence. At that time, the Roman Empire was a huge territory. It included most of Western continental Europe and all the Mediterranean coasts, Northern Africa, Middle East. At the time the empire went from northern England from Newcastle, the Adrian’s War close to Scotland to Iraq. And so that statue is my way to salute you. Let’s go. That’s funny. Uh, platoon. I take it back. Okay, I take it back. This is not my way to say goodbye. But please note that actually this hand is not really showing the finger. Nope. It’s just that four fingers out of five have been cut off so that the outcome is the same as a hand that is killing the finger. And the meaning of this gesture is so international that this time no need for me to explain it. But I didn’t tell you an extremely important detail. It was the artist himself. It was Mr. Catalan himself who picked this square for his head. And so I assume that he made his his decision on purpose. Hi guys. So, I finished the walking tour. Uh, it was amazing. I really loved it. I’m going to put it down in the description. It was a free tour, but they do accept donations. Um, the tour guide, Marco, was amazing. Very enthusiastic. Kept everything upbeat, especially like right now since it’s like freezing honestly a little bit. It’s like really cold. But he was really good at making sure everyone was engaged and everyone was having a good time and like remembering where we’re from and our names and just incorporating the cities we’re from into the the history that has a correlation to the history that is found here in Milan. So right now I’m at a castle where it was recommended by the tour guide that these are one of the spots you should visit before leaving Milan. This according to the tour guide is the the castle where the Dukes of Milan stay the remaining ones and then behind it is a park and then the on the other side of the castle and the park is the arro um that was wanted by Napoleon. So we’re going to visit those three things and then from there I’m going to get lunch and that wraps up my time in Milan. So yeah, this is the entrance to the castle. Castle’s huge, by the way. Thing is like ridiculously large, but it’s so pretty. I’m glad it’s sunny. I thought it was going to be raining all day. And then there’s a fountain in front of it. It’s really pretty. So, I walked through the park. It was cute. It was really nice. There was a lot of animals. There was turtles. I was surprised to see turtles. But right now, we’re by the Ark. It’s right here. It’s huge. Very intricate. And then now I think I’m going to head back towards the duomo. Um because I have to go to the Galleria Emmanuel. Um I still have to spin three times on the bone. I just remembered that I did not do that while we were there on my little stop with the guided tour. So, I’m going to make my way back to the Dwamo. Um, and then try to find something to eat on the way, get a quick bite, and then head back to grab my things, and we’re going to head to the train to our next city. We will be in that city for 2 days. And I already have a cool little activity booked for Saturday. So, not today, but tomorrow about around sunset. So, um, I’m excited. Uh, I will catch you guys later. Um, I’ll probably insert the video after this of me spinning three times on the ball in the Galleria Emmanuel. No, for good luck. So, I made it to my scarf look. I made it to Milan Central. My train doesn’t take off till um 5:25, but I already have a check number, which is 10. So, I’m about to about to head inside. It’s right there. Good morning, guys. So, I think you guys can take a little bit of a guess if you know what’s going on in Italy right now um about where I am. So, my next city is Venessia. We’re in Venice. Um I did not know that I booked my time in Venice um simultaneously with the start of Carnival. So, Carnival starts today. Um, this year the theme is the time of Kasanova. So, I think today there’s no show here. Oh, no, wait. Today is say Saturday. Keep thinking today is Friday. But I guess from 11 to 12:30 there’s a show right here. So, I’m going to watch that. I already bought masks. And then um since I was here and the ones uh the mask here that are genuine made in Italy are cheaper than in Rome, Alyssa had me get her hers for niece. So I have those and I bought my sister Briana one and then I got myself one. I didn’t get mine I didn’t get myself an Italian one cuz I saw a really cute blue one on my way in. It was made in China. But I think I’m going to go back to the the guy the stand that I was at and he was selling them for um €10. They’re genuine like they were made in Italy. So I think I’m going to go back and get one for myself. Um yeah. Ooh, I’m not supposed to be going this way. So funny. I’m not supposed to be going this way. I think I’m supposed to be going Actually, you know what? I lied. I’m supposed to be going that way. I’m on my way to visit a um famous bridge. Uh I have my gondola ride at 4, so I’m trying to kill time before that and then enjoy the carnival festivities. Um so yeah, we’re just walking around Venice. About to come up on a bridge right now. So, take the bridge and walk over and I’ll show you guys the water. Um, see what it looks like. It’s a little cloudy today, unfortunately. So, it’s not the prettiest view of Vanessia, but she’s still beautiful regardless. I think that’s the sun trying to pierce through. Hopefully, we’ll get a little sun today. It’ be nice. This is the water. It looks really pretty. Has like a unique color. Yeah, welcome to Venice, guys. Um, very excited to be here. Excited for my gondola ride later. Here’s some gondilas as a preview. The monster company. The bell tower. Good morning. It is Wednesday, February 26th. No, my hair looks fine. Um, and I’m on my way to my second to last destination for spring break. Run over to the airport. This time we’re flying. It’s currently I don’t know why it’s not working. It’s currently This always happens to me. I don’t know why it just never wants to focus. 3:51 in the morning and waiting for my Uber to get here. Yeah, very excited. We’re not going to be solo traveling anymore. I’m meeting up with Alyssa and we’re going to do 2 days in this city that we’re flying to now. We’re going to fly again to another city and then fly back to Rome and then spring break is over. Yeah. Um I didn’t film a lot in Venice or in Florence. I don’t know why. I just did not have the urge to film. I just wanted to kind of like relax and enjoy being in the cities. Not that filming doesn’t allow me to enjoy being in the cities, but I don’t know. I just did not want to bring my camera, especially I was alone. It was raining. It was not really like the best environment for filming. But um yeah, I’m filming now and that’s all that matters. And I really appreciate how my hair looks today. So yeah. Hi guys. So I am in London and look where I am. It’s Harry Harry Potter. It’s a Harry Potter statue. I just um got finished um visiting Min Lima. I think that’s how you pronounce it, which is the store for the original creators of the world of Harry Potter. And I got a mystery bag, so we’ll be opening that later. But I am in London and I love it. It’s so pretty here. Thus far, I think this is one of the top cities I’ve visited. It’s so fun. I’m according to my GPS, this is West End London. Um but uh I walked from the hostel which is not in West. It’s about like a 30-minute walk. But yes, look at Harry. Harry Potter. If you know me, you know that my ringtone is the Harry P is the um Hogwarts Harry Potter sound. And I’m obsessed with the movies. I love the movies. I watch them like reoccurringly. and I watched the the anniversary special and I just love Harry Potter. So, no mice definitely bought bought the mystery bag and I wanted to buy more but I didn’t. But I also ran into this really cool vinyl shop and I got a I got Sun and Shining by Bob Marley on vinyl. And then I got the autobiography of Malcolm X uh for a cheaper price than I would in America. So, I know for a fact I had to get those. And yeah, so far I’m just walking around the city and I’m also trying to look for Harry Potter movie locations. So I’ve just been putting it in my GPS and seeing where they takes me. Um, and yeah, I will check in with you guys later cuz it’s pouring and I do not want my camera to continue to get wet. Good morning. We’re in London. Yay. And this is the guys in hats in front of Buckingham Palace. They’re so cute. I’m so happy that they still do this. So, yeah, we’re getting we’re on the floor of our hostel getting ready to go to our final destination for spring break. Um, but we went to the Mia Mina Linda Mina Lima store. It’s like the creator of the Harry Potter like realm universe and then they did a lot of props for the actual movie and they have some of the props on display. So, we went there and we got mystery bags. Mine’s a Gryffindor cuz you know I’m a Gryffindor. And Miss Alyssa got I got a mystery postcard and then a Slytherin because I’m like pretty sure last time I tested I was Slytherin but you know we’ll take it again tonight. Yay. And then mystery postcard. Okay. Go. Mystery postcard. Alex this week when we’re studying together on Monday is going to let me do my ASMR segment. Oh yes. I could be you guys. You don’t I didn’t say anything. You made noises because I’m feeling excluded. You weren’t even in this in the country. Stay locked in a cardboard box. Yeah, I love that. I would have said the same thing. Okay. Mystery postcard. Oh, she’s pretty. I like that. Oh, it’s pretty. She’s adorable. I love Wait, let me get a good angle of her. She’s so good. I love her. She gives so cute. She’s so dainty. The purple. I love the colors. It’s an apothecary. Like, oh, this is a good one. Were there options I would have hated? That’s important to me. There were options I would have hated. It’s the best one. You like see the options that you would have been mad that you could have gotten and you didn’t. And you didn’t. All right. I don’t want to mess up the little sticky. You don’t. You just stick your finger under it. I’m nervous. I was very picky about the notebooks in the store when I went. I’m not picky at all. I’m going to do the Oh, there’s a lot of things in here. Oh, really? Not a lot, but like more than Oh, shoot. Wait, the Slytherin match is pretty. I don’t like my notebook. I don’t like my notebook. I like my badge, though. Wait, I like Wait, no, I don’t like my badge. I like my notebook. I got I got Fantastic Beast things. And it’s supposed to be Harry Potter, but it’s okay. I’m very grateful. I got a Gryffindor. Is this a Is this a a gift? What is a gift? A gift card. Oh, no. It’s a letter. It’s a letter. It’s a letter card. This is pretty. I like this a lot. I hate when people put stickers on books. Sorry. Oh my gosh. Wait, they put a sticker on the actual book? Yeah. Why would they do that? And then I got this badge. That’s so cute. And then this is my notebook, but it’s Fantastic Beast, but it’s Harry Potter lined. What does that mean? Like the the lining of the book is like Harry Potter themed, but like the outside is like Fantastic Beast. I don’t hate Fantastic Beast, but I was hoping for like Harry Potter. Harry Potter. But it’s okay. I’m very grateful. It’s very cute for the book. The notebooks themselves were like 12 bucks. And we got all of this stuff for only 10. It was a big It was a bag for the book. Your turn. I got this Slytherin pin. Let me zoom in. And then I got I’m zooming in. There she goes. Love. I got some very fun little like sticker things. I think yours are stickies. Mine are maybe not stickies. Let me see. Wait, no, mine’s a postcard. Oh, it’s a birthday card. I I’m going to open it, guys. And no, mine’s sticky things. Mine’s potion labels. Ow, the stupid I have a paper cut, guys. Yeah. And I do not take any harm to me. Well, as I’m just a pretty little princess. Yeah, mine are potion labels. So, I can put these on any bottle I sew. I love that’s so cute. Those are adorbs. And then and then I got a dark arts defense basics for beginners. It’s got these gorgeous shimmery redlinined pages and then it’s just 200 pages inside of like your basic. But I think it’s cute. It’s Harry Potter. It’s dark arts defense. Basic for beginners. a ribbon bookmark. So, it claims Oh, yeah. Mine is too. Where is it? Found it actually. My bad. Cute. As being a hater, my journal has one. I’ll unzoom it from your face. Sorry, queen. Oh. Oh, h so sorry. But yeah, mine is like Mine has the gold on the outside. Um, but it’s cute. I like Let me see the inside. The inside looks like this. I think she has that like extra kind of like she has that like I like the shim. Yeah. We’re going to pack and we’ll check in with you guys when we’re at the airport tomorrow. Alyssa is planning on wearing every piece of clothing known to man. Oh yeah. So for context, Alyssa unfortunately I got ryaired. She got ran. Sorry, I’m taking off my shoes. That’s why I like was bending forward. All weird. Yeah. Miss Alyssa unfortunately got ryionaired from her to her flight here to London. Um, I got Ryan Air hard essentially. Do you guys remember that one movie where it was like, well, take a chainsaw and Becky, that’s how I feel. That’s what Ryan Air did to me. So, I was in line with my bag and then a bag with little porcelain flowers. Whatever. It was a gift for the fam. The girl goes, “No.” and tells me your bag’s too big. Fine. I unpack this entire bag and put on every sweater known to man. Which, by the way, with my jackets is like eight items, two jackets. One is double lined, so I consider it three. Three jackets. Um, and then she goes, “You also can’t have the duty-free bag. That’s got to fit in that bag. You mean the bag you just made me shrink? That bag?” Sure. Sure. Then I put everything except the flowers and the bag fits in the little me box, right? And she goes, “You can’t have.” Yes, I can. Leave me alone. Um, so Alyssa got Ryan aired real hard. Ryan aired real hard. I I didn’t even yell at the lady. I just was like, I think it’s fine. I think it’s fine. And then when I saw her bag and and then I looked at my bag, I was like, my bag is like her bag is bigger than mine, bigger than yours. And I just got a Ryan Air flight and I had a duty free bag and the lady looked at me and said, “Have a great flight.” And I was like, “Thank you.” Alex like knows she’s safe because she’s sleeping on the top bunk instead of the bottom bunk and that’s why she’s saying all this stuff. I’m so sorry. He knows I’m too lazy to climb up the one extra thing. Okay, can we here? Can we talk climb of my life? Can we talk about like how tall this is? Like Okay, so then we have someone here. And then this is That’s not my water. Damn it. And then Alyssa’s on the second one. And then I’m all the way up there. Up. I can’t My finger doesn’t even reach me up there. Hey everyone!! Welcome back 💕 This video is a little peek into my Spring Break adventures during my study abroad semester! I decided to solo travel through Milan, Florence, and Venice, and then meet up with my friend to explore London, Nice (France), and Monaco — all in just ONE week 😭✈️
From wandering through art-filled streets in Florence (even though I totally didn’t film it, oops 😂) to experiencing Carnival in both Venice and Nice, it was such a dream (and a blur)! 🎭🎡 I also had the BEST food and wine in Florence — seriously, every meal was unreal 🍝🍷
While I didn’t record as much as I hoped, I still wanted to share these moments with you and give you a little taste of my Spring Break in Europe 💫

Now… let’s talk about the REAL challenge of this trip — the weather 😩. It was SUPER cold the entire week, so please excuse all my sniffling in the mic 🥶 (I swear I wasn’t crying over gelato prices).
And as for my hair… oh boy 😂 Get ready to witness the worst hair week of my entire study abroad. Humidity? Rain? Wind? My hair said “nope” every single day. You’ve been warned.
