Makarska Croatia 4K Makarska Riviera Walking Tour 2025
This is a walking tour in Makarska, Croatia. Pretty much I visit the Makarska Riviera every year and staying in the main city Makarska. It is a good homebase to visit the other nearby towns along the Riviera. This is a full tour of the area going along the seaside promenade, the port and the Old Town. Hope you enjoy this video!

Can’t wait for our vacation to Makarska tomorrow! These videos gives me the vacation vibes😎☀️
I have said it before – THIS is what the French Riviera looked like 20-30 years ago.
This is truly a paradise, and unfortunately it is no longer hidden, becoming ever-more popular.
LIJEPA!

Beautiful places. Thank you for this video.
Although promotional materials and videos of Makarska indeed highlight its most beautiful natural and touristic features, I feel it is necessary to point out a number of serious shortcomings that are not shown in such presentations, but which significantly affect visitors’ experiences and the destination’s overall image.
First and foremost, public beaches lack public toilets. Currently, sanitary facilities are available only within restaurants and other catering establishments, and their use is strictly limited to guests who are present at the premises. The consequences of such a situation are alarming – I have personally witnessed numerous instances of people urinating in inappropriate places, and unfortunately, even one incident of defecation directly in the sea.
The second issue concerns waste management. The number of rubbish bins along the beach is insufficient, and the existing small bins, placed approximately every 500 meters, become overfilled very quickly. By around 12:00 noon, large piles of garbage can be seen next to them, and this waste is not removed until approximately 6:00 PM. In the meantime, an intense and unpleasant odor spreads through the area, leaving an extremely poor impression on tourists.
A third significant shortcoming relates to the organization of beach space. Renting sunbeds and parasols costs between €26 and €36 per day, yet there are no designated walkways leading to these sunbeds. Visitors who choose not to rent them lie directly on the sand, often occupying the entire surrounding space. This makes it practically impossible for paying customers to reach their sunbeds, especially when going for lunch and returning to the beach. For parents with small children and strollers, access is almost impossible, posing a serious issue in terms of inclusivity.
These are only some of the problems that contradict the high prices charged in Makarska, which are, moreover, noticeably inflated compared to the real value of the services offered.
I have photographic evidence of all the above-mentioned issues and am ready to provide them to the relevant authorities.
I believe that addressing these concerns would be in the best interest of both tourists and the long-term reputation of Makarska as a destination. The city’s beauty deserves an equally high level of organization and upkeep.
Ljepota grada zaslužuje jednako visok nivo uređenosti i organizacije.
When was this recorded? In June? 😊
