A Million Goats In The Sierra Nevada Mountains

I did not expect this. I thought I’d be heading straight onto the main road and getting a big tour of the a little tour of the old town. I hadn’t realized how beautiful and extensive it is. Hello and welcome back to my road trip through central Spain. [Music] [Applause] If you have seen my previous videos, you’ll have seen me visit the Bennis Realis, which is the only desert in Western Europe, Barachin, which is a beautiful town, which has its origins in the 10th century, and Koena, which is also a stunning ly beautiful town perched on top of a mountain. [Music] In the last video, you would have seen me visiting Camp the Cryptine windmills. [Music] But after a peaceful night’s sleep, staying at the windmills, it was time to leave. [Music] And after getting lost in the old town for a little while, I was eventually able to get out on the open road and continue south. [Music] [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] We’re at the end of the trail already. Oh, wow. Look at the view. This has to be the easiest hike in the world with the best view in the world. Hands down. Look at this. [Music] Wow. It’s unreal. It was definitely worth driving up this road. There was another road suggested which I might try later or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow now. It’s just gone 5:00. But I’ll have to find somewhere for for sunset. [Music] [Music] [Music] Sarah Nevada mountains. Pretty amazing, aren’t they? 2,30 m. We are up at this point here. And apparently that’s the highest tarmac road in the world. Incredible. What do you think? Do you like the views? Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Music] Time to head back to the van. It’s 10 to 6. Going to drive on a bit further. I have no phone signal here to get back on Google Maps. So, drive until I get some phone signal. Try and find somewhere to park up for tonight. Be great to get a nice little parking spot up here. But they don’t have any laybys or pulloffs on this fantastic road they built up here. Could potentially stay where I am now. It’s not very nice. It’s a rundown old um it’s a rundown old uh ski cabin, but like restaurant size. Looks like it’s disused and has been for a number of years. So, I’ll drive on anyway. [Music] [Music] I drove on through the Sierra Nevada mountains. [Music] [Music] Hello. Not so nice. Yeah, it’s not great. Some better, you know. Different word. Oh, okay. Jubilus. Thank you. [Music] and then came across something I’ve never seen in my life before and will likely never see again. They’re sheep. [Music] Look at that. It’s not real. A huge herd of mountain goats and their shepherd moving them through the mountains. [Music] That’s the sheep dog. So the bows on him and him. Well, they love booze their teeth. Where would you get this? [Music] That’s a steep climb. Fair dues to them. There’s one left. Big dog. Some of them are goats. Are they goats or sheep? I think they’re goats. Some of them definitely do look like sheep, though. I think they’re a mixture. God, there’s millions of them. Is he going to get going now? [Music] [Music] Is he going to get going now? Jeez, there’s millions of them. Hey, hey, hey. [Music] [Music] That was a nice little surprise, wasn’t it? Bit of culture. A goat herder. Where would you get it? Just shows you ain’t always had a camera out. I’d missed that and nobody would have believed [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music]
