The REAL MALAYSIAN Experience…

We’re going to gateep it from you. We have arrived to my type of place. What other vloggers vlogging stuff like this? So, yall got to subscribe. I’m ready when you are. What is up, guys? Today is day two. A lot of big plans today. A lot of action ahead. We’ll see what’s going on. We’re about to head to the beach. All right, we just made it to the beach. The guy said the name of the area is Murb Murb Beach. But here goes the sign. Yeah. But we’re still in the Salangor state. Yes. It took us about an hour to get here from where we’re staying. You want to go clamming? You want to look for some clams? You know how to look for clams? Clam? Oh, that’s muddy. Honey, we’re going to have to get all up in the mud. Let’s Let’s go out there. I don’t have my bathing suit. He said he wanted to go for what? You’re not going into water. You That’s how you clam. No, you clam when it’s low tide and then you look for like little holes and then you dig around that area and then you get a clam to be in the water. I guess what I’m used to is going in the like in Freeport we would like go in the water and then like with our toesies like find it. Y’all can hear the call to prayer at the mosque. Our guide just taught us that that’s basically just a call to prayer for everyone to come and pray. We had no idea. Yes, we’ve been learning so much about Muslim culture uh and the the Islam religion. We’ve just been learning a lot about Malaysia. Malaysia. We just been asking him specific questions. He’s answered pretty much all of our questions, so that’s good. Look at the tiny crabs. Oh yeah, it’s a lot of crabs. Wo, a lot of crabs. A look at them. Their uh barrier holes. You can see the baby ones and the adult ones. The adult ones go very small. Still like an inch. Should I pick one up, y’all? Y’all think that that’ll hurt? Absolutely not. Look, that one’s so small. No, we’re not going to pick up. Why would we need to pick it up? I want to feel what the pinch feels like. Come on. It’s crabs. They all just like disappear. Wait. Oh, so there would dig these little holes. You see how the crab like Oh, wow. Can you leave it alone? I want to eat it. You’re just going to pop it in your mouth. Yeah, these are actually would be small enough to cook in a soup. What type of soup would you make? Uh, you could put in any type of soup. It’d be like a soup noodle. Yeah, it’s so it’s so small that I’m sure you just boil it. So, I was actually watching a video yesterday where you can um I but I don’t know how to see the um I don’t know the difference between these little crab holes and like a clam hole, but I want to at least get one. I wonder if our tour guide knows how to do it. Well, I’ve never done clamming like this here. I’ve only done clamming in Texas and it was we were in a cute little pond like but yeah we were in a cute little pond. Watch the clan. What you going to give me if I’m I don’t know but our tour guide is probably like what are they doing? What are your thoughts on our first Malaysian beach? It’s cool. I do want to go climbing or snailing. How do you snail? They’re on rocks though. So So I don’t think this is the place for it. But I’m having a good time. I actually am hungry. We can catch some clams. I’m hungry. You can eat some razor clam. You have to boil them, right? You can’t eat them raw. Yeah, I think you have to boil them. Or is that muscles? I don’t know. Didn’t tell you. I don’t even know the difference. I just know some razor clam. Yeah, we got so much more to learn. Yes. If anybody knows bushwick or survival, hit us up. Please. We would love to do a class. Please. They’re so thoughtful. We keep getting fed. Butter is bread. Oh, is this butter? Yeah, butter. M and sugar. I think everywhere is available, right? The It’s kind of I mean in Southeast Asia. In Southeast Asia, I think so. But I haven’t had it since I haven’t had it in Southeast Asia. So, I’m very excited to eat it. I see. I see. That’s why I’m so happy to eat it. Should I have to be so patient? This is so Can you open it? No. Let me. Thank you. I don’t want to like rip the bag open. This one is local. Local tie. Only locals know how to anti it. There you go. We’re practicing your Malay, huh? There you go. This one is homemade. Homemade. Oh, it’s crunchy. Yeah. Oh, it’s good for crispy. It’s crunchy. This is good for like hot teas, hot coffee. People do drink this in the morning. Let me try. It’s a good pastry. This your first time having it? Um, what is it made out of? It’s butter, sugar, and toast. I’ve done like the toast and butter before. It tastes like that. But I’ve never had it like this crunchy and I never added the sugar. So, it’s different. It’s a good like beach snack though. Mhm. I’m like a good like camping snack, too. So, approved. Yes. Yes. Yes. CJ Voyages approved. Of course. Unless you have a tour guide, you’re not getting here. Yes. We’re going to we’re going to gateep it from you. I want to gateep to preserve. But if a loco brings you, mangroves are their own ecosystem. And I got attacked by bees and mangroves. I’ll never forget a mangrove in Panama. But anyways, these are their own ecosystems. And this is really, really cool. This is the closest I can get to thinking about the ecosystems in what is it in Louisiana? Um, swamps. They’re swamps. But mangroves right by the beach or even in the ocean. Like I’ve actually been in the ocean, but these are their own ecosystems. They have their own roots, their own communication, on animals, plants, all that. They have like little boats you can rent and take out too. I saw up over there. Or maybe they’re free. I doubt it, but I doubt it. I lost my option. Came out here during low tide. You can do some clamming, see a bunch of crabs. Only known by locals. And if like all of us stop talking, it’s very quiet. I can’t stop talking. Going to get some co local coconuts. Do y’all ever open the coconut and eat the coconut meat? If you haven’t, you should. It’s delicious. Never mind. They are on a I think prayer break. So, it’s fine. I just wanted to go on a little adventure. So, they’ve been out there clamming. Look at this bag of clams. It’s like a whole bag of clams. They’re using this bubbling up and stuff. Scrape. I told you it’s clams though. Oh my gosh. Look at the clams. Look at the clams moving, honey. You see the the white like the tongue. I told you it’s clams. Okay, honey. I You said that five times. I heard you. Okay, just left the beach. Heading to another location, Chand. Yeah. Thought that I’d be here now. I didn’t think I’d have to move. Getting more food. We’re getting high tea. That’s how you say it, right? Is it high tea? High tea. Sorry. High tea. Yeah. Yeah. High tea. High tea. High tea. Enchantanto this is menu normally. Is that different from Oh, okay. So that’s this is different from this is Raja Raja. Is this Raja? This is Raja. That’s good. Good. Spicy, too. So you get the crunchiness from the water. It’s different. My first time eating a fork with a fork in two days. And this is gourd. Uh potato. Oh, potato. I like the potato. It’s egg. This is our traditional dish. Chand chand. Traditional also available in Malaka in I know this coconut milk. Yeah, coconut milk. Coconut. No coconut milk. Coconut milk. Coconut milk. I I asked coconut milk. Okay. I don’t do cold. Well, I’m sensitive to cold. Green. Yeah. You have beans. Red beans. M some jellies. This is a very refreshing dessert. Actually, the yellow jelly, right? This one is called chendo. This is the one called just the only dessert that I actually eat. What would you rate it? Honest. I don’t know. I don’t know how to rate this. This is like like a really good refreshing dessert. We give this an eight. I love it. Binge. Bunting. Yeah, bunting. Bing. We are at another stop on our tour and we are at a mosque. This is actually one of the biggest mosque in Malaysia. Coming here is so grand. Like the scale does not do it justice. Our tour guide has been doing a good job of teaching us a lot about his culture. We’ve obviously been asking questions just because we are in a predominantly Muslim country and we just want to know how to like I guess move correctly, you know, not be disrespectful just by accident, you know. So, we’ve been doing a great job of educating us. It’s been a real fun tour. Man, this place is beautiful. It is huge. I’ll put the name below. I’m sure a lot of you probably already know the name. Wow, it’s so grand. It’s one of the biggest, one of the three largest in Malaysia. This moss is so beautiful. We are now headed to the night market. We have arrived to my type of place. To our type of place, the food street night market. Oh, honey rambly burger. We finally arrived at the night market. Very local. Excited to grab some local food, local treats. And it’s nice to have a guy in these places cuz obviously we do like YouTube and stuff. So, we have people suggesting us stuff all the time. But if you’re like just a regular tourist, you know, you don’t really know what to do. you don’t really know what to get as you do immense research. But yeah, so it’s cool to have a guide in situations like this, but we got you. Now that we have a guide, we could be your guide and show you which flavors that you got to try. We’ve been also having And you know what? Scratch that. Go ahead and read all our comments. That is how you can get the food that you need, the thing, the dishes that you need to try. I’m excited. Yes. Yeah. we get to be like instead of us having to like spend so much money to figure out like oh what is like a good what’s a good snack we’ve doing a lot of trial and error but now we have a guide to tell us oh this is going to be completely different than what you’ve tried before if you don’t get a guide make sure you go and watch our playlist for Malaysia yeah now we’re cruising through a lot of locals man we’re the only tourists here oh these one. Is it this one? The crispy one but the bigger size. I want to try something else. Yeah. Lots of fish seafood here. That squid is ginormous. Lot of local treats. Some pet goods. Got some clothes as well. Oh, we’re right next to the train. Got fruits. We got to get more bro. We haven’t been as healthy. They have the most oranges. Oranges. Oh, yeah. Let’s look at the oranges. Uh, let me look around first. Uh, fish. Fish. Oh, it’s like fishcake. Yeah. Fishcake. Yeah. You want to sign? Uh, later. Yeah, later. Well, you just want to see everything cuz you see everything then we come back then we This is a cat. This one is one ring. One ring uh fried chicken. Y’all one ring fried chicken. Okay, we got us a sour sour soft drink. This is like really fresh sour drink. It’s so good. And then they just told us, they were like, “You must try this snack.” That’s Eveie. We’re seeing all the Malaysian everything. The Chinese. I told you that also getting Chinese. Oh, yeah. Very Chinese food. Oh, I got some pizza. This is the Di experience line. Did you hear you? What? Say it again. Di experience line. Experience. Okay. Y’all remember the Aam Balik that I got to try? It’s huge here. Yeah. Yes. It’s ab on steroid. Look at the size of those grapes, dude. What a local experience. What other vloggers vlogging stuff like this? I got to subscribe. Zero tourism sites. What? What is it? What is it? H fish fish. Fish fish. Good. But a little bit of um sambal. Yeah. It’s trying to go down the wrong pipe. Look at those avocados. We have made it to one of the last stops of the day, the lake. Very beautiful, peaceful. We’re going to enjoy some of the food that we got from the market. The fish cake. How is the sate? Good. M. Oh, this is a lamb one. We just made it to I city. We are yet at another mall, but it’s kind of outdoorsy. So, I’m getting a nice breeze right now. And look at the not quite a outlet mall. Dude, it’s an outdoor. It’s always an entertainment center. City of light. City of light. Welcome to the city of light. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. We got to get down first. There’s always so many lights and nice residential area and where you think where you can just take a walk and look at this like our family future family. This is in Salangore. Welcome to city of lights. Wow. I was joking with Joshua. This is perfect for you. If you haven’t seen our roller coaster video Oh, go ahead. Watch that. These are nice and slow, y’all. Oh my gosh. Okay, if we if you’re terrified of roller coasters or any big rides on an amusement park, this place is for you. You can hang out with your kids and no dizzy. We’ve learned. I learned from that video. No more dizzy rides. It’s so nice. Ooh, these are the nice trampoline ones. These are the nice trampoline ones. You want to ride that one? Yes, I do. I love it. I love little dinosaurs. Oh, like petting zoo. Uh, you got guinea pig. Look how big some of those are. It’s actually rabbit on steroid. everything. Oh my gosh. Have you ever seen a rabbit that big? Not in person, though. No, I’ve never seen a rabbit that big. Ooh. I don’t think this one is spinny. This one should not be spinny. It should just be going up and down like if you’ve done the halfpipe while you’re skateboarding. Is that a Is that a roller coaster? Oh, that’s a slide. I think that’s a massive slide. All right, relax. Oh, I relax. I started speed walking and leaving him behind. We’re not going on that. You already did your amusement park for the trip. It’s a water park. No, not water park. Oh, water. Fly on water. A little bit of sprinkle of water. Something like that. Oh, and then like slide splash. I’m ready when you are. Not at all. Who needs Christmas lights when it’s always lit up? You don’t have to wait to celebrate at all. You can just have lights. You don’t got to wait for a carnival. Come out here with your kids, have a good time, or even with your date. You know, you don’t have to pay for anything either. I don’t even want to eat or anything. I just want to walk around. Enjoy. Yeah. Enjoy the lights and then enjoying other people’s happiness. That makes me really happy, too. Her mic is about to die. So, we’re probably going to wrap up the vlog now. It has been a great day. We did a lot of local stuff, stuff that we wouldn’t have been able to do on our own without our fantastic tour guide. We’re going to leave a link to his website down below. We really appreciate y’all watching. Make sure to check out our traveling Southeast Asia playlist. Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe. Thank you so much. I’ll see you in the next one.

In this vlog, we venture off the beaten path in Malaysia to experience the country through local eyes.

We start the day at Morib Beach, a quiet, weathered stretch of sand where time seems to slow down. After soaking in the local life by the shore, we head to a small eatery to try traditional Malaysian food and dessert — simple, comforting, and unforgettable.

Next, we visit the breathtaking Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque, one of the most stunning architectural wonders we’ve ever seen. Standing beneath its massive blue dome, you can feel the shift in energy — grand, peaceful, and humbling all at once.

As evening falls, we dive into a local night market, buzzing with people, sizzling food, and the sounds of everyday Malaysia. After loading up on market snacks, we find a quiet pond nearby to enjoy them under the stars — the perfect contrast to the chaos of the market.

We wrap up the night at Shah Alam’s City of Lights, where the whole day comes full circle — from calm beaches to glowing streets.

🎒 This is Malaysia off the tourist trail — raw, real, and unforgettable.

  1. Lol, so happy you still around in Malaysia. I read your title on last vlog wrong. There are so much more for you guys to explore in Malaysia. Morib is my childhood beach where you go claming.😂😂😂😂 but mainly for fun not really to eat.👍👍👍👍 And welcome to klang/ shah alam area, my hometown. Icity really close to my parents house.

  2. Nice to see you guys had some 'Keropok Lekor' a local favourite? Did you guys try the original Apam Balik? The thick one? And have you guys tried Pisang Goreng'/Fried Banana/Banana Fritters? Another local favourite?😊

  3. 1 Hour from KL, and you’ll find these peaceful and beautiful places😉

This video means a lot to us locals 🙏
It’s not every day people see the peaceful side of our kampung life. thank you for sharing it to the world

  4. Unfortunately, the water on the beaches along the West Coast isn’t very clear because the Strait of Malacca is an international shipping route. If you go to the East Coast or the Borneo side, you’ll find crystal-clear water and clean, sandy beaches.

  5. Razor clams (kepahat/ambal)l, you search for holes or a squirt… clams (kepah) or cockles (kerang) search them by scraping the sand, teritip (barnacles) n mussles are usually on driftwood or rocks, remis (small clams) dig the sand at the edge if water

  6. Nice to see y'all went out to a more rural side. A lot of us think KL is too chaotic so we prefer to live further out where the vibes are way calmer.

I'm basically just commenting for the algorithm because these vids might be valuable guides for people who wanna come for Visit Malaysia 2026

  7. 😊 We used to go to Morib beach to check out the Soldier Crabs , Hermit Crabs & Edible Snails there in the 1970s … Brought back many fond memories of the 1970s when our parents were still around … Langkawi & the East Coast beaches with their more clearer water are more suitable for scuba diving … 🙏🍑💐🌿🌏✌️🕊️🇲🇾

  8. Langkawi was named Asia's second most beautiful island by Condé Nast Traveler in October 2025, after Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The island received a high score of 92.99 out of 100 in the magazine's Readers' Choice Awards, which were based on reader votes.

Award details: The award specifically named Langkawi the "second most beautiful island in Asia," following Phu Quoc, Vietnam.Other accolades: In a separate award, the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2025 ranked Langkawi as one of the top 10 best islands in the Asia-Pacific region.

I hope you don't miss visiting Langkawi in the State of Kedah while you are in Malaysia…❤👍👋

  9. My first visit and last visit to morib beach when I was 3 years old,it was 1979 . I was crying loud bcoz of small crab that came out from the sand.. I still remember that moment eventho it as like 47years ago. Morib usually for picnic and not for swimmingly

  10. You should come by Cameron Highlands for a change of scenery and most importantly change of temperature!
Its a mostly chill town that locals come for the cool air, pick yourself strawberry farms, flora parks, sheep and alpaca sanctuaries, affordable fresh produce, old colonial buildings with beautiful gardens for a spot of fresh tea and scones and you even visit our very own tea plantations that manucfactored our local tea brand 'Boh'.
Please do come by during the weekdays to avoid the weekend traffic jam due to being only one up and down kinda road unless you're good on a motorcycle.
    Enjoy your stay at Malaysia! c;
