Warning Light On Again in Dinan France

[Music] Birdie buses on the road. Rolling strong with a happy load. Time to meet our YouTube crew. Wave hello. It’s me and you. [Music] Morning again. Say good morning, Joe. Good morning again. No, it’s more me to say good morning, not you. Oh, well, I’ve only just got up. So, exactly. So, I’m going to say good morning cuz I’ve only just got up, Zoe. Yeah, but not morning again. Yeah, we’re setting off anyway on his destination. I’ll tell you where we’re going, and I already to uh dinner. And I’m only just catching up where we’re going cuz she only told me this morning where we’re going. Yeah. I thought we were staying in Hon a bit longer. No, but apparently not. No, because we’ve got a low battery, aren’t we, Zoe? Yeah, because what we’ve been trying to do is uh save us gas. And we’ve been using electric kettle a lot. Yeah. And electric kettle is flat on the battery. Yeah. So, we’ve had warning lights on this morning. So, I thought, well, we’re going to have to drive now. Charge battery up. I’ve put the electric kettle away and we’re back on the gas again. All that to save a bit of gas. Unless we can get hook up. Get hook up. Use electric kettle. If it’s draining too much. Yeah, it is. Just to try and save a bit of gas. I can buy gas. I can’t buy electric. Well, I can I suppose it’s by your fault. Yeah, it wasn’t right this morning. Get away. Think about the way that we live here by a friend has just told us uh there’s contaminated fuel in France apparently. Normandy in Normandy. Normandy. Yeah. There’s uh been the water in the diesel. Best not put any fuel in, have we, John? We’re all right at the minute, but we should get out anyway. We’re heading out to Britney anyway, aren’t we? Should be able to fill up here. But just make people aware that there has been contaminated fuel in Normandy area. Lemon St. M just going past. We got it right this time. Yeah, we called it Michelle last time, didn’t we? Oh, yeah, we did. But I think Michelle is in England. Yeah, Michael. We’ve made his new destination and it’s what’s it called? Denin. Denin. Denin. Den and Denin. Tell you that was stressful getting in here. So we on this air, but we didn’t realize it was small like it is. And uh on app it did say up to 9 m. So when we first got here there’s only there’s only maybe 15 spaces and it were full. So we were going to go to plan B but then the motor home was pulled out. So we have managed to get in but it were really tight coming in here and I’ve had to reverse into trees. H I Yes. So um yeah little bit little bit stressful little bit tight and I I will just show you. So this is the air that we’re on. You can’t park there. We originally pulled in there. Thought there’s a space there. But it’s nice where gray water waste is. So this nice uh guy here from Netherlands came out and told me you can’t park there. You can’t park there. Gray waste. You can’t park there. So anyway, we had to come out. So fortunately, a vans pulled out and so we’ve managed to get in here. But I’m just going to Hey, Bod. Bod’s happy now. We’ve got somewhere. What do you think, Baldi? Not a lot. Yeah. So, we’re into tree here. So, fortunately, a lot of it’s on top of van. Oh, well, I’m sure it’ll polish out, but I’ve had to hang right over at Grass Verge here, you know, to get in. And there is the first dotted line here. And then there’s a second one here. Look, I don’t know if you can just see that. That other dotted line there. So, that’s why they’re saying you can go up to 9 m. It still is enough room to get past. Yeah. So, lesson learned there. I think the next uh we look at is going to have to be bigger than this one. Yeah. Because it turns busier. It is a lot busier, isn’t it, my love? Yeah. So, moving on to our recent problems with Bertie. It’s always an adventure, isn’t it, Love? Definitely problems. Yes. People said to us, you know, it’s always drama our channel. There’s always something going wrong. Well, that’s just how it is, guys. There is always something going wrong. Wish there wasn’t, but there is. So, um, we’ll go with good news first, shall we? Uh, the good news. Yeah, we have because the warning lights since RC took them off when we’re in Canterbury. Uh, they’ve not come on again since. So, that’s good. Uh, as for the misfiring, unfortunately, yes, it’s still misfiring ever so often. So, I’m just going to ride with that. So, we still haven’t got to bomb with that. That’s good news again. So, the pins the pins didn’t work. It’s something else. So, anyway, we uh I can live with that. I know how to deal with Bert it when he’s misfiring. So, by changing gear and putting accelerator on and stuff like that. Oh, don’t know. Stop it. Chickens feet. I just feel sorry for all them chickens that’s walking around with no feet. That’s what I worry about. They’re all be hopping about with no feet. She has a bag of chickens feet for dogs as treats. And they’re good for the teeth. Disgusting. Anyway, moving on to our recent problem. Oh god. Which one? The one that we picked up at um Horn Flare. Hon. Oh, that one. Now we’re going to say something else as well. The other problem. What was the problem? Don’t give me another one. The water pumps didn’t seem right. Anyway, that’s least to me worries. So, um yeah, um it started off this morning. Warning light came on me control panel up there. You can see that saying low battery, leisure battery. And I thought, no, my leisure battery is up. I know if you remember, we fitted a lithium battery quite a while ago. So, we’ve gone on the Fogstar app and it’s 80 odd% on Fogstar app, but yet on the control panel on the van, it’s saying 50% and it’s gone red, which is always a bit of a worry because on Bert, we have a safety device on him. And when the leisure battery drops too low, he just switches the van off. And we’ve had this problem before. It just it just switches off and it turns all the power off to the van which causes a problem because our hab door has a solenoid on it and basically it can lock you out. You can’t own it cuz the solenoid won’t work because Bert has shut himself down. So panic station start now. Why is it at 50% yet saying 80%. A little bit odd. So, we’ve been driving obviously we’ve done another 160 mile to get here from Horn Flare and we’ve had battery on charge. So, we’ve kept an eye on the app and the leisure batteries obviously charging and going back up and Zoe’s kept checking the control panel here and this is charging back up. So, the leisure batteries got to 100% and yet it’s only showing 80% on the control panel. So the app’s saying that the battery is fully charged and yet the control panel saying no it’s not. So we’ve got a discrepancy somewhere now. Clearly they’re not talking to each other. The battery and the control panel here. So now I’m saying to Zoe something’s not right. Does it need recalibrating? Because obviously it’s the control panel that’s my main concern, not what my app’s saying. Because this control panel will shut the van down. And this is measuring the leisure battery because there’s no other batteries between that and this control panel. You see ledger battery and that’s what it’s it’s monitoring. So trying to cut a long story short, something’s wrong somewhere. We’re out of sync. So we’ve driven in. We’ve kept on and the leisure battery’s got to 100% but it’s still charging. So we’ve left it still charging and we’ve kept checking this and this is going up now. So, I think what we’ve done before is we’ve let the leisure battery to get to 100% on the app and we’ve just turned it off. And I don’t think it’s not 100%. I think this has been 80% and we thought it’s everything’s fine cuz we’ve stopped checking this control panel. And now I think we’re going to have to go on control panel and not the app, Zoe, cuz something’s not quite right. Yeah. So, I do think we need hook up. We’ve now hook up and I don’t know how long. get it hooked up and get it charged up and see if this goes to 100%. Is what I think now. See if it’ll recalibrate itself or reset itself. So, put in your comments, guys, if you’ve had this sort of problem before with if you especially if you fitted a lithium battery or a Foxar battery and it’s not quite synced up to your control panel or is it the app that’s slightly out, the app saying 100% when actually it’s not because it is still charging even at 100%. So clearly the leisure battery is not charged at top. Anyway, it’s all a little bit confusing. So anyway, back to water pump. Yeah. Where are we love? Uh dinner. Every time you say that, Bod goes mad because he thinks you’re saying something else. He thinks you’re saying D I N E R. Yeah, D sounds more like dinner. And so Bod starts growling because he he thinks he’s getting fed. Have to stop seeing where we are. Where’s Bruce? Don’t have a clue, does he? He’s the way with fairies. Are smart. He looks like he ain’t got a clue. But he has. He’s quite smart. He’s lying me. I might go club, but I’m quite smart deep down. Very deep. We’re just going uh for a little walk into Don. I think we’re going the wrong way. We’re not. It’s uh up there. It’s about a mile away. Which way is it? We’re lost already. It’s not. It’s that way. I don’t think it’s that way. It is. Chateau the Dan. That’s where that is done. just uh having a look at this lovely shadow. Come buddy. Oh, wow. That wind’s picked up. Look at this for a castle. The big castle is the castle of Denon. The oldest part of the castle is this bit here. Built in 1064 and the rest of it was added on in the 12th century. They like the car boot sails, don’t they? French. Yeah. Oh wow. They do sell some shine. It’s like clear shed art, isn’t it? It’s old ghost. Rusty tools. Oak. They try and sell here. It’s a very historic town. Lot of old buildings. You’ll fit in fine. Is that your Don’t you worry, Zoe. Is that your version of historic? Come on. Some facts, John. Anybody can see it’s historic. It’s information we want. Listen, everything’s in venge. So, all right. In 13 1357 there was a jewel between this guy here Bertrren Dustlin and Thomas from Canterbury and they had a jewel here from South End Square. So it must have rode down from that end down. It doesn’t say what happened to Thomas from Canterbury but this erected in memory of this guy here and his armor. No mention, no statue for Thomas or poor Thomas. I don’t know what happened to Thomas, but apparently they don’t say anything else. You think they we’ll find a coffee shop. Oh, look. Thomas has got a mention. L Canterbury and it’s got an English lion. Look restaurant Canterbury with an with an English lion on. That might have been Thomas’s. Do you think maybe they had a dispute after um might maybe other guy didn’t pay bill or something? I don’t know. Get carvings in that old building. Carvings. Yeah, like little carvings in pillars. You see that top? Yeah, that must have taken ages to do that. See little figures carved in top there. How good is that? 1559 that were built. Z. It’s been reconstructed since in 1936 it was reconstructed. Was it? Yeah. Very old. Yes. Originally it was built then. Wow. Anything else you want to know? No. Let’s go. Lovely shops again. Look at this building here. Get timbers on that. I don’t know. Look, looks old to me. All these old buildings. It’s a bit like H flare, isn’t it? You know, these cafes and stuff. Yeah. I want to have a beer. We’ve had a coffee, haven’t we, love? Yeah. Uh €6. I don’t think that’s bad. Is that you got a little piece of foot with it? I thought that was quite nice. I really enjoyed that fudge. Oh, that brought a smile to my face. A little piece of fudge. But I’m loving this place. It’s bigger than I thought. Yeah, there’s loads and loads of shops here, guys. If you ever come to dinner, just thank me. I uh brought you here, guys. I I reached this. I drove. It’s teammate. That’s what I think. Yeah, but if I didn’t Google it, you wouldn’t know about it, would you? No, I don’t think his dogs are that impressed though. This is not their type of thing. Rose don’t mind. He’s happy wherever he goes as long as this with me. Yeah. Bit like me. You look me up and down there. I saw you looking me up and down. I see what you’re doing. Here’s what you could have had. Give me a cuddle. Whoa. With your cuddles. No, I’m just wa your cuddles. Well, I still can cuz I not be able to put my arms around you soon. Where you going? We’re eating all these. I keep filming all these old buildings. I don’t know if you’re interested or not, but you’re seeing it as we see it. They’re old medieval toilets down there. Zoe, how do you know? Cuz it says craper. that I’ll tell you then cuz that little child was coming towards Bod. Oh, Bod’s fine with children. Oh, yeah. He is. [Music] So, it’s beautiful shops. You know, when I keep filming these French streets, when I film these French streets like this, I always think of Beauty and the Beast. I always expect Garson on and Belle to come skipping down singing. You mean like me and you? You saying I’m the beast or I’m G on I’m Gan. Yeah. Or am I the beast? I’m not I’m not sure. I’m not sure. You’re my G son. Oh, I weren’t sure where this conversation would go. Sorry. It’s nice with flowers around it, ain’t That

  1. If you are travelling all down the west coast of France. The aire at Capbreton, not too far from the Spanish border is good. Easy access and loads of room. I think from memory it’s €8 with electric, grey and black waste, fresh water, toilets and laundry.

  2. I think I mentioned this when you first put in your new battery, you need to tell your system what kind of battery you have and the size of the battery, there is usually what you call Dip switches, if you have a manual for your van it should show the sequence for the switches, hope this helps.
