Coral Bay beach is tucked away in a 
cosy bay on the outskirts of Paphos. Everyone who comes to Cyprus on 
holiday will have heard of this place. It is a public equipped beach 
of yellow sand 500 metres long. Coral Bay is ranked as the 
8th best beach in Cyprus We see that the water is clear and the sandy 
bottom stretches almost to the middle of the bay. Of course, there are no corals 
here, as in the rest of Cyprus, but you can go snorkeling 
here near the rocky cliffs. Tourists from Paphos and the surrounding area 
come here because of one very important reason. It is the only sandy beach so 
big in this part of the island. To be honest, most beaches 
in Paphos have rocky bottoms. This is why Coral Bay is very popular in Paphos. If you stay in Ayia Napa or Limassol, 
where there are a lot of similar beaches, you will not feel all the charm of this place. In the first half of summer, there 
are often waves and, on this beach, it will be fun for adults and children. The beach is well-equipped and you 
will find many restaurants nearby. On the neighbouring cape are the excavations 
of the first Greek settlement on the island, dating back to 1200 BC. We suggest you also check out the neighbouring 
bay where Laourou Beach is located. Compare these two beaches. In our opinion, the water in Coral Bay is clearer. Have a nice holiday!
