Alexandria, Egypt – 4K Walking Tour | Life in Egypt’s 2nd Largest City
I arrived in Alexandria the night before and treated myself to a delicious seafood dinner at the renowned Shaban Fish Restaurant. The next morning, I stepped out onto the streets for a walking tour to explore the city and capture its everyday beauty, character, and rhythm to share with you, my cherished audience.
Along the walk, I had some friendly interactions with locals. At some moments, a few people called out “Zolle,” which I later learned means “a Black man from Sudan.” I found it quite interesting and even a bit humorous, because here it seems common for people to assume every Black person is Sudanese. From my perspective, there was no negative intention. The atmosphere felt warm and curious, and they seemed genuinely excited to see a Black traveller documenting the real spirit and ambience of Alexandria.
Alexandria has a distinctive skyline, with high-rise buildings lining the Mediterranean coast. The sea breeze, the lively streets, the welcoming nature of the people, and the blend of history and everyday life create an experience that is truly unique. I visited, I experienced, I observed, and I captured these moments for you.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this immersive 4K walking tour through Egypt’s second largest and historic Mediterranean coastal city. I hope it brings you closer to the feeling of being here in person.
Thank you for watching and supporting the journey.
