What Can $10 Get In Romania?
This is Romania, a stunning country in Eastern Europe. Packed with castles, mountains, and medieval charm. It’s surrounded by Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Ukraine. Unlike most of Europe, Romania doesn’t use the Euro. Here, it’s all about the Romanian ly. Oh, and fun fact, it’s the home of Dracula. Welcome to my home. And the road trip around Romania begins. So, together with my editing team, we’ll hit the road from Bucharest and see what just $10 can get you in this amazing country. Yeah, we’ve driven only 2 hours from Bucharest and you can see we’re in the middle of the mountains. It’s Transylvania. It feels completely different out here. Fresh air, beautiful trees. Just the vibe is different. So, we’re stopping in a little town here. There’s a little market in front of me. We’re going to see what we can find. Hey, can I have this? We’re back on the road and decided to drop by Snagoff Monastery to check it out. This place is famous because many believe it’s the burial site of Vlad the Impaler, the historical figure who inspired the Dracula legend. Pretty cool and a little spooky at the same time. We are here at the Bron Castle, which a lot of people think is Dracula’s Castle. It’s not actually Dracula’s castle, but it’s inspired by and aesthetically similar. The castle was built back in the 1300s as a fortress to protect against invaders, and later it even became a royal residence. Walking inside feels like stepping back in time with old wooden staircases, narrow hallways. Wa! Are you claustrophobic? Damn, bro. And views that are straight out of a story book. Getting some Romanian street food. I don’t really know what it is. It’s something. It’s going to have bread and cheese. Oh my god, that looks insane. It’s like a funnel cake with cheese on it. I got two. Thank you. I have no idea what this is. It looks like a funnel cake with cheese on it. Is that accurate? [Music] After eating, we decided to roam around Romania. And our first stop was Helis Castle. And wow, it feels like something straight out of a fairy tale. Built in the late 1800s, it was the summer residence of Romania’s royal family and is actually one of the first castles in Europe, fully powered by electricity. How would you describe this in one word? Castle. Castle. Pretty big. Two words. Two words. After checking out Pelis Castle, we kept our road trip going and discovered more of what this beautiful area has to offer. From the mountain views to the charming spots around, it really feels like there’s something new at every turn. So, what do you guys think of Romania so far? Pretty awesome. Yeah, it’s very medieval expected. Really? Why not? I don’t know what I expected. Something darker. And lately it’s been pretty bright. The sun the sun is out and it’s colorful. You don’t find like the little medieval towns to be Yeah. I think a lot about all the like knights and horses and all the war and battles. Everything is very charming. That’s the clock tower. Ooh, this is sick. All right. Every one of my Romanian friends told me to come here. So when they tell you that, you kind of got to got to do what they say. This is the Sigosura Clock Tower, one of Romania’s most iconic landmarks. Built in the 14th century, it once guarded the entrance to this medieval citadel in Transylvania. Standing over 64 m tall, the tower’s colorful roof and wooden clock figures have told time for hundreds of years. Romania is very underrated. I think it’s not touristy at all. We’ve I can count on my hand how many like tourists we’ve seen. Really, just Romanian tourists. Haven’t heard any like English or French or Spanish. Very little. This is super cool. This place is so European. Yeah, it’s just We’re right in the center of Romania right now. I wasn’t expecting it to be so charmingly European. Europeans love the outdoors. They’re just always taking a chance to sit outside, enjoy the day. Ice cream stop. Can I get pistachio? Thank you. Bye-bye. Pretty solid ice cream. Not bad. Pistachio. I don’t know why ice cream always tastes better in Europe. Maybe cuz it’s hot. I don’t know. The views of this clock tower is insane. Just hiked up like 700 stairs. We’ll say Romanians are very patriotic. Their flag is everywhere. Not every country in Europe is like that. How you doing? Look at that. That’s pretty good. Good job, man. How goes it? A little tired, but that’s good. Was worth it for the nice viewpoint of the city. See everything from here. Hey, Sergio and Serena. They’re from Hi. So, what is it what is it like to live in Cibu? Oh, it’s cool living in Cibu. Living in a circle city. Yeah. A lot of places to see around and in chill. Everywhere in Romania is chill. I haven’t been to a place except for Bucharest. I find it chill. But do you guys find it chill? Not really. It was a little chaotic. More chaotic than us. Yeah. The roads are not the friendliest, but Yeah. Yeah. Look at this book store. Yeah, this is ne Oh, this is sick. It’s like a store actually. People come and drop books and take like a donation library. So, Serena, as a tourist, Romania is like beautiful and clean and charming, but as a local, is it all of those things? Uh, it is cleaner than it used to be. And yes, I think actually it is charming. That’s great. It is charming. And what is it like to live here? Like, well, it’s really nice and chill. I wouldn’t like to live in any other place. That’s great. There are nice cities in Europe, but it’s home. That’s amazing. It’s so great to be here after 10 years. I came here exactly 10 years ago. This week? This week? Yes. This week would have been 10 years. So, it’s a pleasure to be back and I’m visiting places that really not many people visit. We are in a place called Kuj in the north center west part of Romania. It’s beautiful night and there’s a lot of people out and about and once again we’re the only tourists here. It’s cool to be in a place that like none of your friends or family have ever heard of before. Seems to be a lot more younger people here. Yeah, definitely. You know what I mean? Oh man, it’s been a long journey driving across Romania. is a big freaking country. We are exploring Kuj by night. It’s a university town. There’s a lot of youth here and a lot of bars and it’s pretty electric. No, it’s very electric and the people are friendly. Yeah, I’m like pleasantly enjoying this city more than anywhere else we’ve been on this trip. It’s great. Definitely the best spot. Yeah, definitely the best spot in Mania. It’s not even It’s actually not even close. And we haven’t even walked more than one street. It’s like we’re going to a bar now to figure it out. Everyone keeps saying literally go this way. So that’s what we’re doing. Cheers, guys. In total, I got a souvenir, bread, an ice cream, and a beer for $10. Thank you so much for watching. Subscribe if you want to see more $10 budget challenges.

good video, but please stop using AI voice over
Moldova is also a neighbouring country.
why no moldova mention in first ten seconds? Drew hates moldovans??????
It is also bordered by Moldova, why do you always choose not to mention our country? You also spread lies in your video about Moldova.
Hint: if you are in the mountains you are not automatically in Transilvania. You were in Muntenia (the very name hints it has mountains). All three historical provinces have mountains (since the border between them is on the crest and a mountain has at least two facets). All regions (9) have mountains, even Dobrogea has, albeit a little one and not part of the Carpathians but the oldest as mountains go. Fun fact, Bucharest is in Muntenia too, but the region had the previous capitals . most people lived on the mountains and hills for centuries after the Roman army retreat, because of the barbarian invasions
Bro, you forgot to mention Moldova as a neighbour of Romania at 00:06
Romania=friendly, safe, beautiful.
Im so dissapointed as a romanian to hear that that lady said the life in Romania is chill. We have the worst gouverment and the most corruption at least in Europe. The salaries are allways what does not get affected but the prices are going up. Life in Romania is good when compared to asian or african countries, not european countries and Moldova is basically part of Romania so yeah, Romania is only good for visiting because of the past, now nothing intresting is buildt.
You’re not Drew Binsky, the actual guy in this video.
Please make sure the weird guy with the center part is never in a video again. He truly sucks and makes the video suck
Sucks that he had to include the one guy with the bad attitude. Ruined it all. No wonder people are hating

4:10 🥰😍
$10/€10/£10 can buy you enough beer to get drunk on if you shop in a supermarket. In a bufet just enough for a good time. It won't buy a ticket to visit Peles or Bran Castles. It will buy a slow train return ticket for 130 Km. If you really want to waste your money, two packs of cigarettes.
Bro mispronounced Leu as "Loy" 💀
😅10$ can do anything to you ! Bucharest is expensive then 10$😂😂😂😂😂😂 what a joke I think you see my country like a very poor country but isn’t not !!!! Be respectful pls !
