An international seaport on the Mediterranean coastline of the Costa del Sol, the Port of Málaga is the oldest continuously operated port in Spain, predating Cadiz by 100 years. It is considered as one of the oldest in the Mediterranean.

In the first years of the 21st century, Málaga Port became a tourist destination. The main attractions are the designer shops and an incredible array of restaurants. The Centre Pompidou Málaga, a contemporary art museum can also be found here. A large underground carpark at the north end of the port caters for the thousands of people that visit each day.

Behind the port, within easy walking distance, is the center of Málaga city which, together with the Cathedral, Alcazaba and Gibralfaro, provide a dramatic backdrop.

Here are some things to do in the Port of Málaga:
1. The port has various designer and gift shops to choose from, there are so many options
2. Dine in one of the international restaurants while enjoying the views
3. Enjoy the spectacular sunset (you can even sail out on a relaxing catamaran cruise to watch the sunset, at a price)
4. Visit the famous Málagueta beach just minutes walk from the port
5. Check out Center Pompidou Málaga – a contemporary art museum
