Europe by Car and drove 7,000 Km. A Cinematic Road Trip Adventure!!

We left America for Europe. After we arrived, we rented a car and spent a month exploring Western Europe from bustling capitals to quiet villages. We drove scenic routes that passed vineyards, coastal roads, and mountain views. In the video, you’ll see the places we visited, the route we took, and highlights from each stop, museums, historic sites, and magnificent cathedrals, along with a few practical tips on driving and where we stayed. Hello everyone and welcome to our channel Motori couple in USA. We planned this Europe trip for our 60th birthday and visited many memorable sites across Western Europe. It was truly extraordinary. We’ll share everything we enjoyed. The architecture, local markets, gardens, and food experiences, plus the friendly people we met and a few unexpected detours that became favorites. We hope our stories, photos, and tips inspire you and help if you plan a similar trip. Please enjoy the video and don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe. We visited five countries in Europe: France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Vatican City. First, we went to France. From there, we traveled to Switzerland and then on to Italy. We also spent time in Spain and visited the Vatican, which is a tiny independent state entirely surrounded by Rome. Although very small, the Vatican is a separate country and is the residence of the Pope. Over 30 days, we saw 18 cities and visited approximately 96 places. We arrived in Paris and rented a car there, and we drove roughly 7,000 km, returning the same way. For comparison, driving from Kanyakamari to Kashmir is about 3,500 km one way. So, a round trip is about 7,000 km, the distance we covered on our European trip. Because we drove that distance, we benefited greatly from the flexibility a car provides. We could stop for breakfast or lunch whenever we wanted, get out at any interesting spot, and carry all our luggage without the hassle of loading and unloading for trains or buses. It would have been difficult to carry a month’s worth of luggage and make frequent short stops on public transport. With our car, we left the luggage in the trunk, hopped out to explore at will, and changed our plans on a whim to visit small towns and scenic routes we hadn’t originally planned to see, which made the trip much more convenient and enjoyable. When we arrived in Switzerland, everything was absolutely superb. The snow, the lakes, the waterfalls, and the views. We took the cable car up the mountain and later rode it again to enjoy different viewpoints. And we also traveled on the mountain train to the highest railway station in the world that is built right into the mountain. It was wonderful to see. There was snow and ice at the top of the station. We climbed partway up the mountain and took a full circular ride on the train. Afterwards, we visited several museums. One was made almost entirely of ice, and the displays inside were surprisingly lifelike. Walking through felt like being inside a frozen gallery. We returned by cable car and then boarded the Glacier Express, which they described as a panoramic almost flying view train. Its large windows offered beautiful side and top views. The train was full and we rode it for about an hour. The round trip showed us snowy mountains and spectacular scenery as it climbed and descended. Along the route, there were places where workers had hammered into the rock for tunnels and parking areas. The engineering, height, and safety measures were impressive. We then walked to another viewpoint for about an hour in light rain with water dripping at the side. Below us, the Fuller River turned and the fuller waterfall plunged from the mountain. Those falls were breathtaking. We saw the full snow mountain with everything white on top and caves and crevices carved into the slopes. We walked for about 2 hours. At times, the thin mountain air made breathing more difficult, but we kept going. It was very nice to enter each of those caves after putting on warm clothing. After emerging, we realized the altitude was over 8,000 ft where we had arrived and driven. And we stood close to that snowy peak and took many photos. It felt as if we could almost touch the snow. Nature provided an incredible drive and we were able to get so close and enjoy it so much. And every town we passed had its own character and warmth which made the journey even more special. We saw the view from the top. It was an unforgettable experience. We will show that in the video we will make and share. There are many photos and clips of us standing there. It was wonderful. We enjoyed the driving and then continued from Switzerland to Italy, savoring the scenery, the climate and the natural beauty. It was a very memorable trip and we will definitely share it with you in the next video. We saw many paintings and statues in France, Italy and Spain. Many of the paintings, some said to have been created 3,000 years ago when the Romans arrived, were very artistic and impressive. The statues were large and beautiful. If you look at them straight on, the composition of each statue is striking. When you study each work of art, it felt like watching a 70 mm film in a theater. Such large picture frame images. I just sat there watching and felt overwhelmed by it all. The enormous photographs and statues were incredible. Everything was very well done. Later, we saw the Mona Lisa in her frame. The painting and the surrounding displays in Paris were very impressive, and we enjoyed that visit a lot. We will provide a full one by one video of everything. And we can’t wait to share the videos and photos so you can experience these masterpieces with us. We visited three of the world’s wonders in Europe. First, we came to the Eiffel Tower and saw it in its entirety. It was beautiful, especially at night when it is illuminated on a schedule. The lights were spectacular and the display lasted about an hour. We enjoyed it very much. Next, we visited the leaning tower of Pisa. You can climb several levels, about seven floors, and it was quite scary because of the height and the tilt, but also amazing and unforgettable. Finally, we went to the Colosseum in Rome. It is an ancient arena that once held crowds for events. There was room for about 80,000 people to sit and watch at once, whereas our Chennai cricket stadium holds only around 38,000. The coliseum was built over 2,000 years ago by the Romans, and it has been preserved and maintained carefully. We saw everything and kept those memories. We will share videos of all this in the coming weeks. We are showing you every video. Watch them and I think you will definitely enjoy them as much as we did. Standing at the top of these monuments and looking out over the cities gave us a powerful sense of history and perspective. We visited many churches on our European tour. Most of them are between 1,1,500 years old. Some were built about 1,500 years ago. All of them are very beautiful and the artistic techniques and attention to detail are much like those in our temples. The art is similar. They are exquisitely painted and if you look closely at every detail you will appreciate them. We saw the second largest church in the world and then climbed to its dome. We went to another church that was built almost entirely of lava stone. The stones are the product of ancient volcanic activity and the building is made holy of that material. When we arrived at that lava church, it was very beautiful to see. We saw another church with a large dome that has many steps. It was very difficult to climb to the top. When we finally reached the summit, it was even more crowded and I was very tired and wondered why I had climbed. But I was also curious. So I took all those steps. There is another church there that was begun in 1882. They have been building it for generations and are still working on it. I don’t know when it will be finished. They are planning to complete it in 2050. Outside you can see artwork that tells the life of Jesus in great detail. By looking at it, you can follow the full story of Jesus scene by scene drawn so meticulously. Then we came to the church where the pope lives. We saw that too and it was very impressive. Different churches offered different experiences, everyone memorable and we enjoyed them very much. We hope you will enjoy seeing them as well. As my wife said, we visited five countries. People in those countries generally do not speak English. They speak their own languages which made driving and communicating quite difficult for us. There was no problem when we arrived at Cippi. But when we reached the CPA exit, we found many gas stations and a toll booth with no translators available. We approached a toll booth with no attendant. A recorded message played instructions and we managed to pay and drive through. If you understand, that’s fine. Despite the language barrier, we learned to rely on signage, apps, and gestures, which helped us navigate successfully. Have you understood? If you understand, it’s okay for me.
