Slow Travel Trick in SE Asia
I have some good news today. For those of you who have been around for a long time, you may remember a few videos I did on this channel about slow travel wheels. I just received an email that someone has started a slow travel wheel in Malaysia. You can book slow travel wheels through four cities in Malaysia. And I will tell you who to contact in a moment. But for those of you that are new to my channel, I want to share what a slow travel wheel is first. Essentially, a slow travel will is a series of locations in a country or region of the world you can visit sequentially one after another to gain a deeper understanding of that country or region. The benefit of booking a slow travel wheel is that you book once and you get to stay in multiple places one after the other. You spend less personal time doing research by booking multiple places in a single transaction. I did a few videos about slow travel wheels in the past with a guest named Iggy, but I decided not to get involved in creating slow travel wheels because I’ve been enjoying my carefree lifestyle traveling around the world. But Iggy emailed me. He’s created a slow travel wheel in Malaysia. His email says if you contact him, you can book four apartments in different parts of Malaysia and visit them one after another sequentially in a slow travel wheel. But I want to be clear, I have no ownership, no control, and no investment in this. I’m just sharing this as news. I’m not being paid by anyone to share this. I feel like since you're such an experienced travller you must have what to pack down to science
So that one has everything one might need and not go above the weight limit because it gets super expensive

FYI, last year I tried booking an apartment in Penang and literally EVERY listing I was being scammed. They insisted I send RM200 to hold the apartment before ever seeing it. Caveat emptor.

I had the same idea some years ago. I thought to find someone who has a long term apartment in another country and we would just switch for a few months they come live in my place and I go live in theirs.
I can't believe your still out here posting videos of traveling. I watched you in 2016 and you are one of the few left still living this travel lifestyle. The other travel vloggers on YouTube from 2015 – 2016 have stopped traveling or they have fallen off and I haven't heard from their channel anymore. I had a chance to travel for 6 months around the world but since then I have not been able to travel for over 5 years. I am itching to live abroad as an expat in S.E.A maybe Thailand or Vietnam as my base. I am currently figuring out what I need to do and how much to save for this big move.

Dan, have you ever visited Yogyakarta on Java? I think you would love it. It has ancient temples a short distance away, Ultra cheap amazing street food and the locals love westerners. It has old dutch architecture and a few beautiful malls. Being a muslim island there are no bars except in the hotels. If you like coffee you can get a 1kg bag of Luwak beans for $50.
