Inside the Iconic Château des Alpilles: Slow Days in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence | SIMPLY SLOW TRAVELER

[Music] Hi everyone, welcome back to a beautiful autumn morning in the provinial countryside. And this time I am bringing you to one of my absolute favorite stays in the region, the Chatu de Zalpi, very near Sid Province. Chat de Zalpi is a 200year-old manor house surrounded by a vast property beautifully landscaped with its grand entrance lined with plain trees being one of the most famous in the region. [Music] [Music] The best way to start a sunny autuminal day in Province is with a breakfast outside, listening to the birds chirping and the breeze gently. ly blowing on the leaves of the surrounding greenery. [Music] [Music] [Music] After finishing our breakfast, we returned to our room in a beautiful loft space with views of the main manor house glowing under the soft morning light. After a morning enjoying the beauty of the gardens at Chatu de Zalpi, we decided to go for a walk and lunch in Sani, which is just 2 minutes away by car. On a beautiful day, you can also take one of the bikes at Chatu de Desalpi. And the ride is both easy and charming for me. San is one of the villages in Province that inspires me the most. I love so many of its beautiful shops. The streets are always so very charming. The soft light that penetrates the village in between the buildings make everything look so lively. And there are so many picturesque corners that I photograph every time I am in town. One of these beautiful corners is the terrace of cafe Favier. Literally in the corner of Plaz Favier itself, one of the most charming squares in the village. [Music] [Music] The atmosphere here is always so light and easygoing. And on a sunny autuminal afternoon when it’s neither hot nor cold, the setting is absolutely perfect for a most delicious lunch. And I can tell you that the food here is really amazing. [Music] After lunch, I went for another walk and I am bringing you to some of my favorite stores in Sani where you can buy beautiful local products, souvenirs, and home decorations. [Music] [Music] How easy it would be to fall for you. [Music] But that is something I won’t do. We’ve nothing more than friends. How silly it would be to put this friendship to an end. How crazy that would be. Yet here I am falling in love again. [Music] After browsing many of the beautiful stores in Sani, We came back to Chatu de Desalpi to relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon. As night started falling and after getting ready for the evening, we went for a delicious dinner in the beautiful main house of Chatu de Desalpi. [Music] It’s not a [Music] We were presented with a five course menu reaching local flavors and ingredients in a small dining room beautifully decorated and with refined finishings making it feel almost like a royal dinner.
