Perfect short stop between Tbilisi and western Georgia, especially if you enjoy history + underground vibes + good wine.
Uplistsikhe Cave Town – ancient rock-carved settlement. Bonus: there's a great wine tasting there where they make wine in traditional qvevri (clay vessels buried underground). Super authentic, earthy flavors and a cool look into Georgian winemaking. Quickly became my favourite.
Stalin Museum & Birthplace – heavy Soviet architecture, surreal atmosphere, a strange mix of history and propaganda. Quite a must see.
