Peillon, France. Wow.
So, we’re in this beautiful village. Gabby, what’s the name of this village, Bejon? Here it is. We’re in Bejon, which is just north of Nice, France. And every year, millions of people go to Nice. Bejon. And uh they vacation in the south of France. Did I say this right? And um you know very few people come up here to enjoy this little tiny town of Beong which is obviously very historic. Check out this view over here. And it’s the same as when I’m in Vermont. It always reminds me of how this is like it was a 30-minute drive from the center of Muse. And it’s kind of like you could wait 30 minutes for lunch or you could just get in the car and drive 30 minutes. And it’s kind of the same thing in Vermont for me where it’s like I get to see so many wonderful things in Vermont because I just take take the extra 20 minutes or 45 minutes to drive a little way off the beaten path. Today I’m here with my Putney school high school best friend and this beautiful lovely girlfriend. We’re just enjoying this extremely gorgeous stone town. As far as I can tell, we are the only visitors here. with the only souls that I’ve seen in town. And uh to me, it’s just remarkable how going that little extra distance can lead to such a beautiful adventure. And it is interesting to me that so often when we travel, we’re willing to make that extra effort when we get at home. It’s like people in Vermont not go to Barry for years and it’s only 30 minutes away. I don’t know. Kind of makes you think, huh? So easy to get out.
Reflecting on how change takes time.
