Day Trips From Paris

There’s Jay. Megaazoom out. Woo. If you’d like to do a day trip out of Paris and you’d like to see a really really cool castle, maybe one that’s got a bit of a medieval vibe with a moat and like surrounded by I haven’t seen a vineyard yet actually, then you’re probably going to want to come to a place like this. I’m at Chateau Des. And if you’d like to get away from Versailles, which you absolutely should, cuz honestly, Versailles, yeah, once in your life, but oh my gosh, what a misery fest that is. We’re at Chat Desour, a castle that I wish I had come to years ago. And now that I’m finally here, I have had a phenomenal time wandering around the grounds. It is hot and you can really explore. Like it feels like there are no holds barred and a lot of really cool nooks and crannies and different ways you can get outside, get lots of views from the top. You can go all the way to the roof here. It cost €19 to go inside to wander around the interior. Coopers are not allowed unfortunately, but that’s okay. You can go into a chateau somewhere else. At some point, I’m sure he’ll get into a cool chateau. The entrance actually to buy tickets was super nice and modern. There’s a market out there. I don’t know if it’s there all the time, but you can buy some really cheap strawberries compared to Paris at least and then wander over, grab a nice lunch, get some voli, eat up, feel good, and uh you know, maybe feel a little regal. If you want to do a day trip from Paris, probably going to need to get a car. I don’t know that. Don’t quote me on that. Maybe there’s some other way to get out here. We did it by car and it was great.

To wrap up the summer, we took a road trip to Château de Chambord and WOW. There are so many incredible places to explore outside of Paris! We went by car this time, but there are plenty of amazing spots you can reach by train too.

Now the real question is… where should we head next?
