Actually, those middle seats are great because you don’t have to climb over someone to get to the bathroom. No matter which middle section you pick, it’s all aisle seats. Flying Lufthansa business is a big mistake at all. 2-2-2 configuration as 2-2 is awful. No privacy, no comfy. One exception – their 787-9 business with 1-2-1.

Upper desk was really nice.
I ALWAYS book the middle seat when traveling alone. Easy entry and exit without climbing above someone resp. Someone climbing above me, more space between the two seats, faster deboarding (very important when traveling to the US, 3 minutes faster deboarding can save 30-45 minutes at immigration).

The biggest mistake is to fly business class with Lufthansa. Shitty service, personal that care only about their next union meet, questionable food, one of the worst lounges on the market and frequent delays or straight cancellation due to labor disputes. Never again!
