Why Does France Have To Be So Expensive – Marcelle, France
I have made it to Marcel and now I just got to walk about 30 minutes to get to my hostel. I almost fell asleep on the train. It was so tired. Now I got to head some that way. Swear to God, this is like the fourth McDonald’s I’ve seen in the past 20 minutes. But uh basically that kind of happens when you realize McDonald’s is a real estate company and not a burger company and little subways. I’ve seen every Oh, I see a gu. I did not realize how big this city was. Um I just feel like I lost my voice. I can’t talk at all. But right now, we’re just going to the grocery store. It was that close. I swear to God, someone bought the entire store. But I got some snacks. So, I’m going to head back to the hostel, eat them, and then head off to the city. See what they has. Probably go to some castles. I’m pretty sure there’s one actually at the end of this road. Check that out. A pastry shop. All right. I am bewildered right now. That was the first ever McDonald’s I’ve been to with no washroom. All right. But I kind of understand why. It’s literally in the downtown, most expensive part of the city. We’re just going to keep walking around. I did see some cool places. My hostel check-in is in like an hour. So, I’m going to head there cuz I got to go to the washroom. But in the meantime, let’s explore. Yo. All right. Well, I found out where there’s the Cathon cuz I got to get some sunglasses cuz I realized it is bright as hell. Basically, I got to walk that way for about 20 minutes and then I should get there. So, let’s get going and explode in the meantime. Okay. Well, now I’m just shopping at a mall. Well, I guess we’re going to find this Catholon somewhere. So, after an hour of shopping, these were the glasses I finally picked. It was between these ones and like hiking ones. And the hiking ones were great. They were very expensive. They were just ended up being too small for my face, which is very, very rare cuz normally things are a lot big for my face. I got a smaller face. But, you know, you got to do what you got to do, especially when uh you have light sensitivity. And I’ve been getting headaches the past few weeks, ever since I lost my glasses. Yo, did I miss something? What? What is that? Let’s go check that out. That is a sailboat cruise ship. I think that’s pretty sick. How did I miss this on the way here? Like, what the hell? Oh my god, my voice is gone. Uh, basically I’m in B. So, right now we’re out taking photos and I’m currently just shooting this place which does look very very nice on camera. Uh, pop up some photos right now. Let’s keep walking. I want to get near the the shore over here. Uh, cuz I think it’s going to look actually really nice. But I feel like I’m gonna have my voice gone for at least the next couple days. Does kind of suck. It’s really weird talking to people. I was talking to some people in my hostel and it was just like they can barely hear me. Okay. Sometimes it’s really weird cuz I hear two Germans talking, but they’re both talking to each other in English and it’s just like, “Okay, you’re talking German, brother. I don’t know why you’re speaking English.” Also, at this time there are so many runners. Interesting. You know, be honest. As long as my voice box is gone, it’s kind of hard making videos. Uh I’m also just really tired and not going to lie, still probably sick. So, probably just going to go rest up. Haven’t been out taking photos for long. But videos will continue to be better. I’m just uh kind of lacking right now cuz of the sickness. All righty. So, I bit the bullet and I’m going to Nice tomorrow. I’m paying about €40. My budget is 50 or about like I don’t know 60 something Canadian. So, I’m I’m a little bit screwed here. €65 for a single pair of swim shorts. Don’t get me wrong, I like Patagonia. I don’t like Patagonia that much, though. But, uh, we’re just going to be walking around. And I’ve also been thinking I think I might change how I do these YouTube videos. Uh, you know, the content, at least for me, is getting pretty boring. I’m not really doing much. Europe doesn’t have as much adventure as like Central America did. So, I’m thinking I might do like a different type of style. Um, I’m still debating on it, still thinking about it. But, you know, just letting y’all know things might change. All right. I don’t know where I’m walking, but there is a museum just over there. U pretty sure when I looked online though, like earlier this day, it did say it was closed. What do you think’s closed on Tuesday here? Tuesday is such a weird day. Sunday, Monday. Yeah, kind of makes sense. Tuesday, like come on, what the hell? Yeah, but I’m going to be walking back in the direction of the hostel. And I did notice there is a giant cathedral like right behind it kind of. So, I’m going to be headed there, stopping by a cafe as well. You know, pick up some pastries and whatnot before I go. It’s a pretty sick viewpoint. You see the giant cathedral over there, museum that’s closed for some reason, the watchtowwer, the basilica I’m going to, and like a castle and a giant mansion. Damn, this is cool. Holy Oh my god, I don’t have a voice. So much better. All righty. Well, this is the end of Marcel. I really liked it. You know, first little bit I was a little bit in my head and all, but uh definitely got a lot better. Explored a lot more yesterday instead of just sitting around, but now I’m on my way to the train station and headed to Nice. Going to be there for one night and then off to the Alps. I slept on a wet floor just uh at the end of that clip. But uh I’m headed to the train station now. Overall, I got to say it was a good good city. Good city. I would not stay here longer than two days though. There’s not too too much. It’s nice. Nice views, but overall it just not my type of thing. I am in Nice, France. I’m going to be here for one night and currently I just left the station and I’m walking to my hostel, but it doesn’t really look like a hostel. And I was looking at the reviews and there’s only four, which is the lowest rating I’ve ever been stayed at. It’s also at like a 7.6 star rating. So, honestly, this may be an awful experience. But, uh, well, we will see. We’ll see. If not, then uh, all is well. If it is a scam, then I’m kind of screwed tonight. So, this is the place. Kind of intimidating. Well, I think I’m almost at the beach, so uh we’re going to go check that out.
