Built of Neca Valley sandstone in the 18th century by Prince Lee Carl Theodore, it’s one of the last large examples of classical stone bridge building and connects the old town with the Neoenheim district. The bridge has survived many wars and floods, including being partially blown up during World War II, but was always rebuilt, maintaining its original design, making it an emblem of resilience.
