Number 10: Take a Stroll A stroll through Èze’s medieval village is one 
of the best ways to enjoy this hilltop location. As you walk through its narrow cobbled lanes, 
you will see stone houses covered with vines, bright flowers, and black wrought-iron 
signs marking small art galleries and shops. The streets twist and climb between rocky 
walls, with some turning into staircases that lead higher up the hill.
You can browse local boutiques, admire porcelain boxes at Victoire, or 
visit the gallery of Dimitri Parant. You can also stop at cafés like Les Remparts or 
Café du Jardin for a drink, and take in stunning sea views from balconies along the way.
Number 9: Exotic Garden of Èze (Jardin Exotique d’Èze)
Located 1,400 feet (430 m) above the Mediterranean Sea, the Exotic Garden 
of Èze sits on the ruins of an old castle and offers wide views of the French Riviera.
You will see a mix of desert and tropical plants, including rare cacti from around the world.
The paths wind between terraces filled with green life and fourteen statues of earth 
goddesses that reflect the local culture. Each plant is labeled with details 
about its origin, and you can walk to the top for the best view.

that create a peaceful place to rest. Number 8: Church of Notre-Dame of the Assumption
This church was built between 1764 and 1778 by Italian architect Antoine Spinelli 
on the site of an older chapel. Its bright yellow exterior stands out 
against the green hills and blue sea. The bell tower was added in the 
19th century but lost its dome after being struck by lightning several times.
Inside, you will see Baroque decorations with green and tan marble pillars, gold 
details, and a wooden bust of Jesus. You will also notice side chapels separated 
by a triumphal arch, colorful ceiling murals, and a mix of real and fake windows that create 
playful visual effects throughout the church. Number 7: Plage d’Eze
For a perfect beach day, head to Plage d’Eze, a pebble beach stretching from 
Cap Roux to Cap d’Estel with mountains behind it. The calm bay has clear blue water, making 
it great for swimming and paddling. Small pebbles cover the shore, so 
wearing special shoes is helpful. You can reach the beach from the village’s 
western edge, the train station, or a tunnel. Two restaurants, LA SPIAGGIA ÈZE and Anjuna 
Bay, serve seafood, salads, meat dishes, and pasta, and offer sun loungers and parasols.
You can sit on the pier or enjoy water sports, with showers and basic facilities nearby.
Number 6: Parfumerie Galimard Eze-village At Parfumerie Galimard Eze-village, you 
can take a guided tour through the historic perfume factory and learn about the history of 
the Galimard brand and how perfumes are made. You’ll see the fragrance organ, watch soap 
being produced, and check out the museum with hundreds of antique perfume bottles.
In the boutique, an employee will guide you through a mini perfume tasting, spraying different 
fragrances on sample strips for you to smell. You can test around five perfumes

different scents and create your own perfume, which will be registered in the

Number 5: The cemetery of Eze village While cemeteries aren’t the first place you think 
of for sightseeing, the Cemetery of Eze Village offers a quiet place with interesting history.
Located near the Chapel of the White Penitents, it has a few white stone tombs and 
medieval gravestones that tell the stories of locals and visitors, including 
French, English, and American names. You can notice the small rusted gate tucked 
behind mausoleums and take in the calm atmosphere. Outside the cemetery, a monument on the square 
honors men from Eze who died in World War 1, with a surprisingly long list

Holy Cross, is the oldest building in the village, dating back to 1306.

the sick and poor during the 14th-century plague. The chapel stands on the site of an earlier 
Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Nicholas, with only the 11th-century apse remaining.
Its triangular bell tower shows Baroque style, and inside you will see trompe-l’œil decorations and 
a notable collection of liturgical furnishings. To fully appreciate its history, 
consider taking a guided tour. Number 3: Fragonard Perfume Factory
The Fragonard Perfume Factory is another place worth visiting in the village, especially

Èze village down to Èze-sur-Mer by the sea. The trail is steep and rocky, so wear 
good shoes and be ready for a workout. Starting from the village, you’ll pass 
narrow streets and small steps before the trail opens up with dirt and loose rocks.
Along the way, you’ll see the Mediterranean and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, with sunlight on
