Riding 800+ km in One Day on My Harley Davidson | Ep. 8

Took the wrong turn, but luckily I can turn around here in a moment. After this toll station. It’s fucking busy. I actually have my toll badge with me. In theory, I could just go left. That’s where you can use the toll badge. But… I haven’t activated the toll badge yet. So we’ll just do it the old-fashioned way. Just pay. At the counter. I don’t get it at all, man. I did get a card at the first one. I got a card at the first toll station. But I don’t know what to do with that card. Maybe I can scan it here at those toll things, but I’m not sure. For all I know, I can’t,
and then I’ll be stuck there. And then I’d have to back up a long way, and I’m not doing that. It’s also fucking hot. Mena, don’t complain. Be happy that the sun’s shining. It’s better than rain anyway. Apparently it’s some sort of stamp card. You have to stamp it here at the counter. And then at the end of the trip,
where you actually have to pay… Then… You probably have to pay a few cents or euros per stamp, I think. It’s just that guy said to me… That I had to show it at the counter. Well, not in Dutch, but more like… How do you call that… Facial expression. What a fucking adventure. I haven’t even had breakfast yet. Estimated arrival time: 6:26 p.m. So far. How the fuck does this work? How the fucking hell does this work? But yeah… Do I have to go back again? Yeah, I probably went the wrong way anyway, so I’ll have to go back. Yeah, definitely. Because apparently I took an exit earlier. While… The navigation is showing really weird stuff, man. Where am I supposed to go now? Let’s see. Other side. I’m lucky it’s not too busy here right now. How does this work? I really need to drive properly now. Let’s see, we have to go straight, right? What a fucking… What a fucking hassle. But yeah, it all worked out in the end. So we can continue the journey. Time to refuel again soon. My ass. We’re going to… Empty the wallet again. We’re going to empty… The wallet again. Lovely, guys, lovely. Let’s see. Gasoline — benzina. Gasoline in Italian is benzina. So I’ve already been on the road for six hours. Non-stop. On the highway. Driving 130, 140. 120. And… Yeah, it’s going really well. Except my fucking ass hurts. Maybe at the hotel they’ll have… A masseur. Who can massage my ass. But anyway… Probably not. As long as it’s a woman though. There are quite a few motorcycles here, man. There. An adventure bike. Next to me, more bikes too. I think this is definitely… A popular country for motorcycle lovers — makes sense. With all this beautiful scenery and mountains around here. And we’ve still got plenty of time, so I can grab a drink. Now my arrival time is around 6:24 p.m. Still 208 kilometers to go. Nice warm Coke Zero. I still had it from Austria. Cheers. I thought that guy suddenly… I thought that guy suddenly hit the brakes, but… He couldn’t shift gears or something, man. And there was also… And there’s also a truck behind me now. So I had to move to the left at some point. But yeah. It all worked out in the end. I’m looking now… Right at the sea. Fucking beautiful, and… You can immediately smell the water and feel the warmth here. But unfortunately, I can’t see it because there’s a fence in front. But like… Really far away. You can look really far ahead. As if it never ends. Really vast. Another 55 minutes and then we’ll be in Nice. And we’re at another toll station. Basically heading into France. And it’s still nicely warm. Check out those mountains behind me. Fucking beautiful. Almost stalled it. My fucking ass. Finally, I can stretch my legs a bit. And here we go again. Same story. As… A few hours ago. But now at least I know how it works. So it should go smoothly. Let’s see… Where’s my card? Fucking 38 euros. But yeah. It is what it is. It’s really beautiful here, man. In 250 meters, we’ll be in France. South of France, baby. The CĆ“te d’Azur region. And we’re stuck in traffic again. But luckily, we’re almost there. Just 44 minutes left. I can already see it. I already know why there’s traffic — it’s because… We have to pass another toll station. Or go through one, so… Luckily… It’s not too far. In this case. You can really feel the ABS working. That it’s just calmly… Or gradually… Pumping. Or something like that. I really love traffic jams, man. I think they’re so much fun, man. I’d love to just spend another nice fucking 20 minutes… Fucking stuck in traffic. And another toll station. Six more minutes. But anyway, we’re almost there — two more minutes. Two minutes. Room service is waiting for me, bro. Time to order some fries,
pizza, a burger… A nice fish dish… If they have that, at least. What a fucking mess, man. It is here though. Not even a fucking cart. Just arrived in Nice, at the hotel. And like I said before… I forgot to reset the trip meter. So now we’ve… Let’s see, we started at… So today we drove 870 kilometers. 4 11. Shit, my helmet. It smells like fucking smoke here. The view itself is pretty nice, though. I’m here… Arrived safely at the hotel in Nice, luckily. Thank you, Lord,
that everything went well. And that I arrived here safely. Everything went fine, but yeah… Yeah, so the… Highway in Italy… The E26, I think, from memory. What a fucking shitty road. Seriously, everyone drives like a fucking maniac there, and… It’s fucking crowded on the road. Traffic jams, and the road here too… The E8 or the A8… Here in Italy or France — whatever it is… So fucking busy. But the last two and a half hours were really beautiful
to drive here because… You basically drive along… The sea, right by the coast. And… Yeah, through several… Tunnels I drove through. I think more than twenty, honestly — so many, unreal. And crossed a lot of little bridges. Really beautiful. So in the end,
a lot of curves and bends. curves too,
and yeah, just super beautiful views. I just couldn’t really, unfortunately, capture it very well on camera
because I was constantly riding through those curves, and that’s just annoying for filming, but yeah, I still tried to get as many shots as possible. Today I rode 871 kilometers,
and I think I left around 9:30 a.m. and now it’s 7:10 p.m., so that’s pretty decent. Took the whole day, really. And— yeah. Great. Like I said, it smells
like f***ing smoke here, but it is what it is — €50 for a night. Fine. And I don’t really care about the rest. I can sleep safely here. The bike’s locked up safely too,
so that’s great as well. Anyway, I’m gonna take a quick shower and then
go get something to eat. Tomorrow’s a new day. Tomorrow’s a new day,
and we’re gonna ride along the CĆ“te d’Azur. Because of time, I can’t ride the whole route,
but I’ll just do what I can. So yeah. Totally forgot to mention, of course— yesterday we rode the Grossglockner Pass. Super awesome. And— I really enjoyed riding
that mountain pass. I just took it easy. I even managed to get some crazy drone shots,
so I hope you guys think that looks awesome too
once it’s edited. And— yeah. Yesterday was also— the emotions really started
to come out at the end, when I literally rode over that mountain pass. Then you start talking about things,
and— yeah, some things just come out of you, you know? And I just want to— look, it’s not about— how should I say this— it’s not about trying to get attention. I just want to show who I really am. And— others might only show
that everything’s always great, but I also want to show in my vlogs,
in this series, that sometimes things don’t go perfectly, and that things
just come out spontaneously. So— I think that’s the most important thing: to be yourself, to be honest,
to be honest with yourself. And— yeah. That’s basically it. So don’t forget
to like, subscribe, and comment— leave a comment, share, whatever,
all that stuff. So yeah, awesome.
