First Time in Japan| Kyoto, Teamlabs, Osaka Pt.2
I think you must Good morning. It is our first full day with our EF Ultimate group. There’s a lot of us. There’s like 40 people on this bus and like on this tour. Uh we got breakfast at this place down the street and now we are on the bus heading to like our first temple. Uh so yeah, let’s see what the day holds. Heat. Heat. All right, you guys. We actually did a photo. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. I can’t. Uh, it’s been quite some time since this morning. We had a pretty eventful excursion day for like our first day. We went to two temples. We went to like the Asakusa temple and then we went to the Ming shrine. Um, which was pretty cool. It was pretty cool to like see the buildings and like get some pictures um and see everything in person and like learn the history and like some more information behind it. Then we had like some free time and like the Herajuku area. So, we got like sushi with a couple people from the group and then got to do a little bit of shopping in Akihabara. I got my first blind box. Wonder if I should open it now or like wait till I’m home. I’mma open it now. Um I got my first blind box. I really like these Skull Panda um dolls or figures, but they’re like so expensive back home, so like I never bother to like buy it and treat myself. But this one was like $14 with like the yen to US conversion. So I was like, why not? Like these were also so hard to find, too, because a lot of those stores were like either sold out or like just didn’t have them in general. So I said, why not? I’m going to buy me one. Um let’s see. I think I think I really want I really want this one. I really want that one. Or the one above it. This one. And the one that I want the least would probably be any of these pink ones. I don’t really care for pink. I like like blacks and purples and blues and stuff like that. Um Okay. Oh, and then also at like the Oakusa, this is my my unboxing. Also at like the Oakusa shrine, you can do your fortune for like a hundred yen. So, we all did our fortune and like the first fortune that I picked, I got a bad fortune. So, then I had to like go and like purify myself with like the incense and things like that and then um do like some other purification stuff. But then like me and Alicia went back and did like our fortunes again and then I got a good fortune and then she ended up getting a bad fortune. So then she had to go and purify herself. So that was also something that happened today. Oh, does this mean I got the pink one? I didn’t want the pink one. See, my bad my bad luck was supposed to end here. Dang. I don’t want the pink one. She didn’t want It is pink, man. Man. Um but yeah, so now we’re just like chilling at the hotel for a little bit cuz we’re all getting dinner later um at a place like down the street from our hotel around like 6:00 and then afterwards we’re supposed to potentially go do like karaoke with the group too and then from there um it’s basically we can do whatever we want. Probably going to pass out because walked about like 5 miles today and I’m lowkey kind of tired. Um, and we have to be up early tomorrow because tomorrow we’re going to Team Labs and doing a couple more excursions and things like that. So, yeah. But, uh, this is this is it. Wow. I got the pink one. This how it looks. It’s still cute. Uh, just means I got to buy another one. But that’s what’s all that’s happened so far today and what’s going to happen tonight. I probably won’t bring um my other big camera. I might just bring this camera um if I feel like recording or anything like that. But I’ll catch you guys later. Yeah. Holy Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Good afternoon. We just finished up um going to Team Labs as our exhibit this morning. The Team Lab was like an extra cost excursion that you could add on to your EF trip. And overall, it was pretty cool. It was pretty chill. There’s like different rooms based off of like the elements. So there’s like an air room I think water and like forest or something like that. Um so keep in mind if you come to team lab planets wear pants or shorts that you could like roll up because there is like a water area that you have to like go through. Um overall I would say it it’s a must or something you should definitely check out when you’re here in Japan. But definitely get your tickets online or beforehand because you will be waiting in line um here if you get like your tickets there at the counter. Also like they have a muffin. It was like a cherry muffin and that muffin was so good. I wish I would have got another one to bring with me. Um but now we are at the Tatsuya Market, like the newer market that was most recently built to get some food. Uh preferably sushi. I want some tuna. Apparently the tuna is supposed to be really good here. So, we’re going to get some food, walk around, explore, and then after this, we are going to take a bus or a train to Ginsa to maybe do some shopping and then go to Shabuya to like see the whole Shabuya crossing and check out more places around Shabuya. So, that’s what’s on today’s agenda slash what we’re going to do and explore. So, let’s go check out Tatia Market. What can you do tonight? Yeah, our third full day. Good morning. It’s our third full day with um the EF tour group. Today we’re doing like a lot of traveling. We’re taking a bus to Hakone, a train to Osaka, another bus, another plane, another train. I don’t know. Um, but I think like all the walking is starting to catch up to me. So, this day is just more so going to be capturing the moments and not so much talking and taking pictures. So, let’s see what today holds with seeing Kakone and Mount Fuji. Are you ready? Please note tonight. Watch your spin. Number one. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Good afternoon. It’s been like way some time later since this morning. Um, this morning excursion with EF, we went to a couple of temples. The most popular temple with the red gate and then another temple that you see often when you look at pictures for Kyoto. And it was it was a journey. It was a hike climbing up all those stairs and walking and everything. And now we have free time. So, me and Alicia are going to go check out some shops at the train station and then probably grab like some guoza. Nothing too crazy today. And then tomorrow is our free day where we um made a reservation to get kimonos. So, that is what we are up to slash what is on the agenda at the moment. Good morning. It is our last few hours here in Kyoto. Uh last night I literally didn’t vlog or film anything at all. I was just so tired. The trip was starting to catch up to me. And I’m I’m literally I’m literally carrying around four cameras. I have like my film camera, my Polaroid camera, this camera, and then my other big camera. And so, it’s kind of a lot to like carry around so much stuff and trying to take pictures in like different formats and videos and stuff like that. So, I just gave myself a break from vlogging and to just focus on like taking pictures of stuff because I want to create like a little um scrapbook for this trip and things like that. But we are getting ready to check out of our hotel in Kyoto and go get breakfast. And then we have a hour bus ride to N where we’re going to check out Nar Deer Park, a Buddhist temple. And then we have a hour um another hour bus ride to Osaka where we’re going to visit Osaka Castle slashcheck into our hotel there and then do our farewell dinner with the EF group because technically the EF trip ends kind of basically tonight and people fly out tomorrow. Um but like I mentioned, we’re staying an extra couple of days after this. So that’s kind of what’s on today’s agenda. Yesterday I made kimono. Well, I didn’t make reservations yesterday, but a couple weeks ago, I made reservations for us to do the whole like kimono rental thing. So, that’s what we did. We did the kimono rental. We took some pictures at one of the temples or shrines. I’m not sure which one it was, but we went to that because it’s like down the street from the Kimono rental place. So, we just went there to take some pictures. Then we went to Nishiki Market to try some food when there were more shops open because we accidentally stumbled upon it um the night before and most of the shops are closed. So, we wanted to go like a little bit earlier before shops close. So, we went to Nishiki Market. We went to like another um hall where there’s like a lot of shops and stores for shopping where we got some food and we basically called it a night. I did some more shopping for people and got some more souvenirs and stuff like that, but that’s all that’s happened so far. Um, I’ll try to do a better job of vlogging today, but like I said, it’s a lot trying to carry all these god dang cameras and do all this different formatting of filming and stuff like that. So, I will catch you guys later. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Really nice. We made it to our hotel in Osaka. Um, now we’re about to head down to go to our welcome dinner, which is our last dinner with the EF crew. Um, and then from there we might explore Don Bore. It’s supposed to rain, so we shall see. If we don’t, then I’m just going to come back and wash clothes since me and Alicia are still going to be here for a couple of days. But yeah, all in all, the castle was pretty cool. A lot of walking. The deer were kind of scary, but they were also kind of cute. I didn’t feed any. And yeah, that’s been today pretty much. We’re going to go eat a menu. I can’t pronounce it. It’s like the cabbage pancake that you cook yourself on the grill and skillet. And I don’t know if we’re going to do anything else after that, like eat anything else after that. I mean, I probably will. I don’t know about like with the group. But that has been our day with the EF crew so far. So, let’s go get some food cuz I am hungry. Oh my god. Heat. Heat. Good morning. It’s day 12, I think, here in Japan. Slash, we finally made it to Osaka. I’ve been slacking updating this vlog. I’m not going to lie. I’ve just been living in the moment and taking pictures and stuff like that instead. But we got to Osaka yesterday um after everything and we honestly just took it easy and just chilled. My feet are starting to hurt with like all the walking and stuff that we’ve been doing. So, we just walked around Don Tombburi a little bit, got some food. Um, came back to the hotel, rested and checked out the onen at our hotel because our hotel has like a indoor onen and they have like a sky roof onen. So, we did that last night and that actually helped my body and my feet feel so much better. And today we are going to Universal Studios Japan. Um, that’s all we have on the agenda today. And then tomorrow is our last full day where we’re just going to walk around, do some more shopping, like majority of our shopping, um, and get packed up and ready to go home. So yeah, um, we weren’t able to get any express passes for Universal Studios, so it’s like 11:22. Um, the plan is to get there by noon since we don’t have express passes. So, we’re just kind of going to just walk around for the vibes and eat and see some of like the shows that we can see. But that’s going to be the vibes for today. Okay, bye. Break out. I need no mama. Say a pray. Say a pray for me. Say a pray for me. All my troules of my day. Good afternoon. Not even morning. It’s 12:34. Uh, today’s our last full day in Osaka/Japan. We fly out tomorrow. Uh, Universal Studios Japan was pretty cool. It’s a lot smaller than Universal Orlando. And be warned if you are a big booty thick American or just in general. Some rides you might not fit on. Um there was one ride we tried to ride. I think it was Hollywood Dreams where they made us do like the test seat and we couldn’t fit on it. So that kind of sucked. But we did get to ride um a couple rides in like the Nintendo world which was pretty cool. And after that, we honestly just came back. I got ramen at this 24-hour place that’s not too far, and I just took a hot bath and passed out. Today is our day to mainly do like shopping and get some last minute souvenirs. Maybe go out to clubs or bars because our flight isn’t till 5:00 p.m. tomorrow. Um, so we might do that cuz we literally haven’t gone like out out during this trip at all or really had anything to drink either. But yeah, that’s pretty much the vibes of the rest of the trip. I doubt I’ll really vlog anymore. I’ve just been mainly taking pictures, like I said. So, again, no idea how really this vlog is going to turn out in general. Uh, but yeah, thanks for coming along to see Japan with me, and I’ll catch you on the flip side. Okay, bye.
Part two of my two week vacation in Japan. We met up with our EF Ultimate group of 42 people! Come with me as I explore Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.
